I've been coming here for a number of years and generally have a good experience. Yesterday wasn't one of those days. I had a woman I didn't recognize and who I think was brand new for my pedi. She seemed nervous and said she didn't understand English, which is fine except hard to communicate. Really disappointed with the quality of the pedi, and she actually burned my foot with scalding water. I said "you burned my foot!!" and the owner seemed to hear that and say something to her, but I was appalled and it hurt the rest of the evening. I'm glad it didn't blister but it looked like it was going to. She also was cutting my cuticles much too close, and I said "ow" multiple times. She didn't seem to be paying attention to filing and it was actually caused pain. I hesitated to post this, but I should have said something about the price they charged me for my deluxe pedi. It was not deluxe and I walked away feeling cheated out of an otherwise nice experience, and my money. read more

I have been a customer at this salon for 27 years. The young women who work there are always very friendly and competent. This Christmas my husband brought me a $100 Gift Certificate for me to get my nails done. In the confusion of Christmas morning, the gift certificate got scooped up with the Christmas wrapping and was thrown away. I appealed to the store manager and she said she would contact the owner and get back to me. After three days, I called her again and she informed me that there wasn't anything they could do to help me. My husband went over to see if he could call the owner directly but they would not share his contact information. If that is how they treat loyalty then I will be taking my business somepl else from now on. read more

This was my first time in and I was pleased to have been seated quickly. This was the only pleasant part of my experience. The technician cut my cuticles incorrectly causing multiple nails to bleed, the oil used smelt like stale cigarettes, and the "massage" was borderline assault. Nothing says relaxing like having your neck karate-chopped with excessive force. When I mentioned the poor experience and asked to speak to the owner/manger I was told "no." I recently had a baby. Anyone who's had a baby knows all the [invasive, off-putting, often wildly inaccurate] advice you get when pregnant. No sushi (healthy Japanese babies be damned), no boozes of any kind (sorry, rum raisin ice cream), no nail polish/nail polish remover (because, what, the fumes cause horns to develop?). I ignored the sushi advice with willful abandon, but decided to follow the nail advice despite my misgivings; my feet were swollen and out of sight anyway, so what did I care? Needless to say, my feet were in sub-optimal shape when I finally, two months PP, got a pedicure. And this was the unlucky salon I chose to make them better. Poor, poor ladies. But they have a long row of chairs, take walk-ins, are close to my house, and--miracle of miracles--are open on Sundays. WHOOT! It did not start smoothly. Actual conversation: "You want razor?" "No, thank you." "YOU WANT RAZOR?" "No, thank you." "(*Mumbles to next lady in language I don't understand, gesturing angrily toward my mountainous callouses*) TOO BIG, TOO BIG!" "(*Hangs head in shame*) Razor, please." Things went up from there. Reasonably quick, efficient pedicure complete with calf massage and vigorous scrub down, and a paint job that lasted two full weeks with no chipping. The manicure was also quite good, although that chipped within a few days due to, I think, the cheap polish option I chose (China Glaze, blue--I thought the kid might like the distraction of blue nails, which, btw, he totally did. PARENTING SCORE!). The only downside to the most recent manicure is that she started doing it, post-pedicure, while I was still in the pedicure chair--no hand soaking, so cuticle soaking, etc. Just the immediate cutting of thick, dry cuticles. That was not so fun. But she acquiesced quickly when I asked to be moved to a manicure table. I've been back twice since then. The wait on Sundays can be annoying, but it's never been more than 15-20 minutes. The women are always nice (although I don't even bother saying no to the razor, so they have less to be annoyed with me about). Total cost each time is $15 manicure and $22 pedicure, plus generous tip. A great bargain! read more

Gone downhill. Been going here off and on for years. Chairs are old and ratcheted. In fact if you look at the sinks on the chairs- I saw a lot of debris and gross stuff (after I got my pedicure). Worst service I've ever experienced and my nails look awful. The paint is uneven, there's overflow on my skin, and was even smudged by the painter upon which she told me it was my fault. At the same time however my friends nails came out perfectly. It could have just been the woman who did mine and I believe she was the owner as well. Oh did I mention that right after she accidentally threw the hot rock at me she tore a chunk of my skin off while she was cutting my cuticles? To start, Cindy was fantastic, patient, and seemed invested in me, but the rest of the salon staff were horrid. My friend and I brought in her 8yo Autistic daughter for her first mani (and to have have a girls' day). She was well-behaved and very polite, but asked questions which seemed to really annoy the staff. The staff working on her mom completely ignored her and pretended not to hear her, but could hear the other women from across the room. The lady that did the little girl's nail actually yelled at her because she changed her mind 3 times. She threw her hands down and yelled, "OH MY GOD! I HAVE A CLIENT WAITING!" The entire salon fell silent and looked. The "manager" complained about the woman she was working on right in front of her in Vietnamese, but it was obvious to me what she was saying as she slipped in some English words, rolled her eyes, and by her tone. At one point, she knocked her client's phone on the floor. When the women bent down to pick it up she turned to another worker, rolled her eyes and made a face of total disgust and annoyance for the rest of the clientele, including the woman's teenage daughter to see. Staff yelled at each other and to clients from across the room making the entire experience stressful rather than a fun and relaxing girls' experience. We were one of the first people to walk in that day and the staff acted annoyed and rushed from the very beginning, trying to talk people out of services so that they would leave sooner. I can only imagine what people experienced after me. Completely unacceptable behavior let alone unprofessional. read more
