For a gel polish manicure (no builder gel) it was $65. Crazy price for a simple gel manicure. Unfortunately my nails were filed so deep they were sore for days and I'll have to wait until my nails grow out before getting another service. Colors the tech chose were so strange. This place is gross and dirty. We came in for pedi and a mani yesterday close to closing time after making an appointment. Not sure if our experience sucked because we were the last customers or if this is how they do business. I'll start with me and the pedicure. As seen by the attached picture, the floor was dirty as hell. There was no way I was going to let my feet touch that dirty a** floor before sitting for my pedicure. The nail tech seemed to be distracted as she was looking around a lot. So much that she did a crap job, cutting my nails that I asked her to redo them. Mo had a manicure that was fine but we did notice the wall of polish was not in sequence of color. It was arranged by various color which is annoying. If you plan on coming here, dig deeper and find a better spot to go to even if it means driving 15 minutes further. read more

He neglected to tell the girl who then completely rounded them which will now take at least a couple months to grow out. Additionally, she injured the sides of three fingers with her electric tool. I came alone and watched two of the ladies making judgmental faces and laughing at an older woman that had come in for a pedicure. It was very sad to see. I have been going to Flip Flop for over 2 years and the person I go with has been going for 4+ years.The woman I go with has Alzheimer's, and I have a brain disease. (This shouldn't matter or need to be discussed however, the way we were treated and "putting these women out"/"bothering them" was next level. The frustration and response for my mother in laws forgetfulness and me stepping in to answer the questions for her was wild. My slight tremors and shaking along with ANY question regarding my nails was obviously unwanted, ignored, or laughed at. I have had great experiences and some not so good experiences over the years, I must say today, was the worst experience to date! Quite honestly I feel offended, disrespected, pissed off, and sad. I was getting my nails done with Candy who I love because she is so talented. I think she is so good I have recommended Flip Flop and her specifically to a dozen or more people and everyone I have recommended has come in!! I only share with people and provide them business because I've wanted to. Today, Candy was: rolling her eyes at me, avoid answering any questions about my nails and products she was using, laughing and talking about us, and blatantly rude. You would tell she would inform and tell me the new products she was using on me, inform me if there was any cost change but that was never discussed. She told me no when I asked for a second coat to make the color darker to match the swatch from where I originally picked the color. She was straight up ignoring me and my questions. I would lean in and ask her 3 times- including her name, and she would look up at me validating she heard me and continue to ignore me. She was extremely rushed from the moment we walked in and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. When I asked if everything was ok or if I was bothering her she would again ignore me, start laughing and speak with the other nail tech. It was obvious they were laughing and talking about me and my mother in-law. I have so many examples I can mention but the point is every single one had the same outcome. Candy didn't have another appointment physically there (which she confirmed with me) and just left when she finished. She didn't offer to put oil or lotion on my hands or ask if I was happy with them. I ended up doing the oil and lotion myself because I had no other choice as she walked away. This makes me not want to come back as clearly I am an inconvenience and unwanted. I know people have bad days but this was something different. Communication is key. Because of this experience I don't even want to go back. I am one to tip 40% for nail services but I couldn't bring to doing that after the way I/we were treated today. It was unfair and extremely unprofessional. I am bummed and disappointed with Candy and Flip Flop Nails. read more

Came in for 3 pedicures (myself, husband, and daughter) was excited to try this place since it had great reviews and I had friends suggest it. We made an appointment so we got in fast, however they wouldn't do any nail art we had asked for and wanted to upsell other things. My favorite things about this place: 1) How many staff members are working at all times (so you can come in with a buddy or a few), and 2) How quick they are. Even my mom's removal + gel dip manicure takes under an hour (!!) when it has taken much longer at other salons. It's easy to make an appointment over the phone and they sometimes take walk-ins. Do not come here if you are willing to speak up for yourself when you want a minor change in your nails they will talk crap about you in Vietnamese & make it so obvious. I've been coming here for over a year now because they truly are talented. Its a clean space, they shape the nails great and I was always able to get in whenever I needed to. A couple times I asked for one thing.. and got another, so I would kindly ask them to fix it & they would roll their eyes, and begin speaking Vietnamese to their coworkers who would then come by to look at my nails. Despite them doing this every time I came here, i continued to come because they usually did a great job, and it's close to my house making it very convenient. Today was my last time going there. Right when I walked in I was not greeted, but just was asked if I had an appointment. After picking my color I sat down at the table and overheard a technician who has never even worked on my nails before speak to a friend of hers in ENGLISH. "She drives everyone crazy. She's always asking can you do this, can you do that, and she's very difficult. Makes the technicians feel very uncomfortable whenever she comes here." I am very positive she was talking about me.. bc her head was turned away from me, she was trying to talk softly and had an attitude the second she saw me. Even if she wasn't, why are you talking about any customer like this especially in the store? Plus I can just tell that they talk about me every time I come.. but of course i still came on my own free will.. my mistake. I always tip well because I know they get frustrated with my requests for them to fix their own mistakes...... and I don't feel like I have ever asked anything major for them to change. I will never step foot in this place again unless I am feeling too great about myself and need to be humbled you guys are jerks (except Kyle.. if you see this Kyle, thanks for being the only nice one in the salon.) If you think they don't talk about you here, they do. My mom called after I left and the manager denied any of this happening & said they'd never do that in English.. and that they only speak to each other in Vietnamese. Basically admitting to talking crap lol. Again the technician was speaking to her friend in English, and it's so obvious when they're talking crap in Vietnamese. I don't like to get my nails done, but I need to because my nails are so very thin. Another salon had put a heavy coat of powder acrylic on my nails that had lifted. Emily popped them all off and attached a long artificial nail to all my tips and then she cut them off short as I like and applied a clear acrylic powder over everything. Then she put a nude polish on top. The build-up of product on my nails was minimal. She was so fast too. I am very pleased with the result.
