Walked in and they were able to help Us, I just wanted a pedi and my mom wanted a fill. Hybrid gel I think, The pedicure was basic but the massage was amazing! I wondered a tad if she massaged me longer because I chose not to paint my nails. Overall was happy with my pedicure. My mom was also happy with her nails. "I recently visited for a manicure and pedicure and had a mixed experience. I received a warm welcome from the gentleman at the front desk, and the pedicure he started in the massage chair was excellent. However, the experience changed when a different technician took over to finish the pedicure and perform the manicure. Unfortunately, the manicure was quite disappointing. I had dark green polish on previously, and while she used plenty of acetone to remove it, the pigment ran under my nails and left dark blotches. When she applied the new red polish, the green residue underneath made my nails look dirty. When I pointed this out and asked if she could clean it, she seemed unsure how to fix it, which was surprising. I left feeling frustrated with the final look, though the salon itself is very nice. There is also plenty of room next to each pedicure chair so the manicure techs can work on your hands at the same time. The staff is super friendly ! I got a gel x almond shaped french nail set and lia did such a great job! She spent over an hour shaping my nails and they turned out beautifully, a great narrow almond shape that fits my hands. We all are familiar with the doom of finding a new nail tech right? Why is it so damn hard?! Anyway, this was my fifth attempt at finding someone in Utah, that will listen to what I want. Not even addressing if they even have the talent. The last place I went to, the tech was in such a hurry that she made my nails look like a witch from the eighties. Jesus. And, I found her on yelp with raving reviews. Ok. On to Lagi. I called and thankful the manger answered. I told her that I had a horrible experience and that I was new to Utah and desperately needed to find my forever nail home. When I arrived, I was greeted by Mikey. He was so sweet. The manager came up right away to make sure I was getting what I wanted. She checked in repeatedly throughout the process. The vibe right when I walked in is so inviting. The rose buds on the walls, the baby pink look of the place... So girly and beautiful. So welcoming. I had pleasant and amusing conversations with Mikey. What an attentive sweet guy. We talked about how we just don't understand how nail technicians don't care, listen and RUSH through their appointments. He shared all of his views on how most nail salons don't give a %^%*. He told me how Lagi Salon and Nails is a place where they all work together as a team. That they all get along. I am SO happy now. FINALLY, I found my forever nail home. Mikey paid so attention to detail. So much so, that I was able to watch a show on my phone with my earbuds in and not feel the need to check his work at all. This is what it's all about! It's why we go and get our nails done right?!? It's a treat. It's supposed to be relaxing. To wrap it all up, MiKEY is AMAZING at his job. We did an acrylic set with a French manicure. He used this very very thin brush to shape the white tip. Wow. He took his time and checked in with me repeatedly. All I ask is that you guys don't steal him from me. I've been going to the salon very regularly for the past couple months.. For the most part, I have always had a great experience and loved how my nails and toes have came out. Up until the last few times I have gone in.. My Second to most recent set, started lifting after less than a week.. I ended up losing two nails after a week. Vicky Who is my regular nail tech fix them no problem.. Didn't charge me, which I appreciate. I went in yesterday to get a fill and pedi before my vacation.. My nails are absolutely atrocious. I asked for a simple French tip. I ended up getting chrome where the pink is supposed to be.. Did not ask for that.. On top of being unhappy with my nails, I believe I was charged for a new set. $154 for a set that I was not happy with.. I stated that I was unhappy to Vicky and unfortunately nothing was done. The service was quite good! I liked how clean the inside of the salon was, and how friendly the service was. I also liked the level of attention to detail on my gel polish change-- the nail tech didn't rush through the appointment and very much took the time to shape my nails and do more than the bare minimum. However, my one thing that took off a star was that it seemed like the nail tech who did my nails was perhaps a little less experienced/skilled, as he worked extremely slowly (my appointment went very long) and it came out a little flawed. The gel polish looked really thick on my nails, and I think it was because the nail tech did too many coats of polish and top coat (3 coats polish, 2 coats top coat) and did not really attempt to make each layer thin, either. Usually, nail techs pause after the 2nd coat and ask if I want a third coat, but this one didn't ask. Their pricing was really fair though, so I can't really complain too much. She is METICULOUS when it comes to details and always makes sure my nails come out perfectly, even when I'm pressed for time. Their pedicures are worth the money and all the staff is so nice.
