I went and got a pedicure at Snowflake Nails three days ago. The man who did it was causing me a lot of pain while trimming a cuticle on my big toe. I said that it hurt, and he said "sorry" and went back to causing me pain. I should have just left, but I didn't want to be rude (I know, I'm one of those people). Well, I left the salon with two toes bleeding, and my feet still hurt a lot! The gel on one toenail fell off the same day, too. Definitely never going back there. read more

I have gone here a few times. The last time I went they ruined one toe nail so I thought I would try again to see if they would make good on the nail or repair it. The sign etched in glass says they open at 0930. I arrived at 0930 and they were closed. I waited in my car until 10:00 and called them she said they open at 10 which is not what their signs say! They have lots of free parking, and wall to wall variety of paint colors. This establishment is clean. Also, their massage chairs are comfortable. Ken was awesome!!! So nice and very sweet. He understood what I wanted by looking at the picture I brought. So many times the nail tech wants to argue and say that they cant do what you want, or they do what they want, and then get mad if you tell them what you dont like, but not Ken!!! He was gentle and didnt hurt me once(I have very sensitive thin nails) easy to talk to, perfectionist, appreciative, and the price was right. Im so glad I didnt have to go downtown and get they arent taking new clients. Ken took his time and didnt try to rush me or cut corners. I will definately be back. This speaks volumes cuz I NEVER get good service. When I got home my husband could already tell and said," you finally got what you wanted"!!! Im very satisfied. They were nice and all, but the girl doing my nails cut the edge of my nail/finger 3 TIMES and it was bleeding. I feel like that's a risk for infection or something, not to mention it hurt each time. I just felt like she was rushed and wasn't as precise as I would've liked, considering the mistakes caused bleeding multiple times. The nails looked good after, but I don't think it was worth it. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I've been getting acrylic for years and I've never gone through anything even close to this. I went to get a fill and the first nail he drilled so fair down my skin was showing. I asked for him to stop and he said no it's okay it had to hurt for a minute. I should have left right then. Next nail he also drilled so fair down my natural nail was gone and two large holes in both nails appeared. He then was drilling so hard his had slipped and he cut my cuticle off. My entire finger was bleeding. This cut was deep and serious. I asked if I could wash it and leave and he rubbed it with a dirty towel and put something on it and I asked him not to. I left in tears from pain and how traumatizing it was. He ruined my nails beyond repair and I will have to wait months to be able to get nails out back on. DO NOT GET ACRYLICS FROM HERE. I really don't think he had any official training. I called to tell them I was calling the health dept. and they then hung up and called back saying it was my fault I had fungus. Which I don't and even if I did he should have NOT continued service soon as he saw it instead of using instruments on me. Thats almost as alarming that I'm honestly worried about a serious infection from the cut. Anyway I really just want to save the trauma from anyone looking for a new salon. I will continue to drive all the way to salt lake. Also the pictures do not do it justice as to how bad it was. My fingers were bloody. This is after I went home cleaned it up to try and avoid infection. Just stay away until they get better technicians. Update: the texted me begging to not share my story but I really think it's inappropriate to use my phone number and we're clearly scared as they knew they made a big mistake.
