CAUTION - INSECTS AND RODENTS…read more I rented a unit at this location for 6 months in 2018. Upon moving out, I found an infestation of mites in all of my belongings, and clear signs that mice had spent a lot of time in my belongings (droppings, urine) - I even saw two mice running through the halls when I was packing up. This issue costed me approximately $1,000 and a week of my time to resolve, plus an unknown amount in unsalvageable clothes, linens, and other belongings. Note that according to the exterminators I have spoken to, it is unlikely that the storage unit will be able to resolve this issue, so it is highly likely that any other renters (especially on the 3rd floor) would experience the same in the future. As a caution to buyers, it seems as though neither CubeSmart nor your rental insurance provides any protection against rodents or insects, so the losses will be yours to bear. Even if they did, it's most exterminators will not treat an infestation in a storage unit (they will insist that you move your stuff into your home before treating, which is obviously not wise). RECOMMENDED SOLUTION: For those who do find themselves with a similar situation, I recommend that the best solution is to pack your stuff up and bring it to Collins Pest Control (ask for David), which has a fumigation container in Springfield Virginia that will kill anything and everything before you bring it home for a flat fee - not cheap, but fair and worth it to guarantee you don't take CubeSmart's infestation home with you. To be fair to CubeSmart, they offered me a partial 'good faith' refund of approximately 4 month's rent. However, it took weeks of trying to reach them for them to fully react with this offer and it didn't nearly cover the cost of the problem. Plus, I would have had to sign away my right to tell others about this issue, which felt immoral to me, so I chose not to accept.

We moved units last time, to try to quell the increase, but the increase still came. This time, a 40% increase. 40%! That's about what it was last time as well. We'll be looking to move away from PS, and my goal is to warn people that unless you're using it as transitional storage for only a few months, be ready for some SERIOUS price increases! It is climate-controlled, which is nice, and the location is convenient, but it's not worth the exorbitant increases.

We discussed pricing and I requested to look at both units. Just as I thought the smaller unit is what I needed. Once we got back to the office he quoted me a different price and said I was not eligible for the promotion because I rented from them 3 years ago. Even though I left in good standing. I asked why he didn't provide the standard quote for the smallest unit in the beginning he said he didn't know I rented from them before. But he quoted me the same rate from the larger unit he suggested I should get. I decided to go somewhere else. He was not helpful nor accommodating. I felt I was not going to get quality service as soon as I walked in this establishment. My instincts were accurate. Please provide better service training for your employees.

I used AT Moving Services about a month ago for my move. It's unfortunate that I have to leave this…read morereview but I feel like I need to share my experience. I moved from one apartment building to another that was located 1 mile apart from each other. I had to reserve the freight elevator at both apartment buildings for my move. We planned for 8am, as I had the elevators at both locations rented from 8am-12pm, as other tenants had the elevators reserved after me. I tryto give the benefit of the doubt, but by 9:15am I tried to call, and then finally messaged through yelp to get ahold of Alex, the owner. He stated that they would be there by 9:45am. Okay... that's fine as it still gives us 2 hours to move but this was just the beginning. At 10:10am I receive a message from one of AT Moving Services employees stating that he would arrive in 1-2 hours! That pushes the original time back to 11am-12pm! This is when it became an issue as they were originally supposed to be there around 8am, and we are now pushing it 3-4 hours past the original time. I was told they were having issues with their truck, and they kept trying to fix it and couldn't solve the unidentifiable issue, even though the truck was fine the day before. It didn't sound too promising. The two movers showed up at 11:45am, leaving 15 minutes of my 4 hour reservation window to utilize the elevators at my building. Though I wasn't too happy, the movers were finally there. And issues continued to arise. They removed the cushions from my expensive white couch and were dragging them on the floor to carry them out to their van. I had 2 boxes that were clearly marked "FRAGILE" on all sides, but they both became crushed, breaking some glassware. My white TV stand was moved by standing it up on their red moving dolly, leaving scratches and red paint on the sides. My white drawer units were slid on concrete causing the wood to splinter. Also blankets were not used for items such as my TV! It was just placed standing up in the back of their van (see photo). I cannot recommend AT Moving Services when it comes to moving from one residence to another. There was a lack of care with my items, and wouldn't want anyone else to go through that. I feel as if there should be more customer focus. I still paid the original quoted price, and tipped the movers. UPDATE: Owner states they never did this move and referred me to another company, which is not true. This move took place on March 20, 2021. I have uploaded screenshots of our messages. There was no mention of utilizing another company, and the 2 movers were representing AT Moving Services.

On my apartment move-in date, I hired a moving company for less than $1k to move my items from my storage unit to my new apartment. I saved quite a bit of money utilizing Self Storage Plus. Yvonne was very helpful throughout the process. She was very clear on the hours that the office and storage unit were open, what not to store in the unit, how to contact the office, and how to properly close out my storage account. On the day I moved out of my storage unit, I called her from the wall phone button near my storage unit, and she said she'd inspect it soon. A couple of hours later I received the receipt confirming that I've successfully moved out and ended my lease. Even though I was only there for a month, I didn't have any issues and all interactions were respectful and professional.
