We compared with several different companies and decided with John McCarter and I am glad we did. Our experience started with Clyde, who really did win this deal for them. He was the ONLY one who brought us any kind of mock up for our house, offered design suggestions, and even gave us advice for our roof for a future project. I highly suggest you ask for him. He explained the entire project and how it would work. Next we worked with James, who did final field measures. And double crossed the t's and dotted the i's to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted before they ordered. We very much appreciated this. While we were working with James, we had an attic inspection done by Jim who caught a leak in our attic! So added bonus, always better to find that sooner. When you have a project this large, things ARE GOING to go wrong. The important thing is how does the company handle things when they go wrong. And I can give nothing but the highest praise to this company and specifically our Project Manager John Giese in this regard. Jose responded to my Request a Quote within the hour and had availability the next day to come and take care of it. Our house is over 100 years old so we ran into a few snafus, like an uneven floor, bracketing issues attaching the dishwasher to the counter, and hose fittings but he handled it all smoothly, checking with me before making any decisions we might not have been comfortable with (e.g., screws in our counter interfered with bracketing the dishwasher exactly in the center of the space we had wanted so we had to shift a little to the left). He also reused some materials I had left over from a DIY project I had done to level the washer, saving us some money on additional materials. We also ran the dishwasher before he left and identified one of the hoses was a little too loose, causing a slight drip, so he made sure everything was tight and secure before wrapping the job. The dishwasher has been running great! The price was really reasonable and Jose was very kind and accommodating. I would definitely feel very comfortable calling him again for future jobs!

Our project was a complete kitchen and bath remodel. Removed a wall, moved doors, converted a 1/2…read morebath into a full bath. Replace the flooring, ceiling and walls. We re-insulated the exterior walls too. The project was about 16 weeks long, maybe 2 weeks longer than the original estimate but that was all due to sub-contractor timing. Coffer Contracting worked to keep things on track and worked around the subs. The kitchen is beautiful the attention to detail is very well executed. There were very few changes to the original project and they were all at my request. Like adding the insulation to the project. Coffer was fair on the quotes for the changes. They have a reliable and trustworthy crew and we were very comfortable letting them work when we were home or gone. We took a little vacation during the heaviest demolition. They worked hard to control the dust and keep things clean. The transformation is so amazing that we have a hard time remembering what the old kitchen looks like. Coffer Contracting did the following work - demolition, rough carpentry, management of subs for electrical, plumbing, heating, and drywall. They hung the cabinets, doors installed the shower stall and did all the finish trim on the cabinets. I had a separate contractor do the floors because they were my friends. I would hire them again to do more work. But, I think I will take a rest for a while.
