Scope: all outside trim, entrance door, porch, gutters & significant carpentry replacing rotten wood. But in addition, the price was more than fair and reasonable, and the experience great! First, communication: Ryan kept open channels, phone, text or in person - very flexible to work with. Second - work performed in the time frame promised actually finishing ahead of schedule. A large crew finished the work to our satisfaction in one (1!) day. Third - the work crew itself was very professional, the day of painting was a pleasant experience, leaving a clean worksite behind and Forth - great customer satisfaction - Ryan came back to make the minor touch ups we identified in the walkthrough, making certain the work all together was perfect. I wouldn't recommend them at all. We scheduled an appointment on Saturday for Tuesday at 7:00. I told them exactly where we lived and even emailed a map previously. Also I explained that to meet at that time I would have to take off of work. 5 minutes before the appointment they called to say I was outside of their service range. I had two lose 2 hours worth of work. If they had bothered to call even a couple hours earlier I could have kept that time. This is incredibly irresponsible and completely disrespectful. Through the entire process they were very poor at getting back with us through email or phone. Also they had called a few weeks earlier to come out the same day which would have been great for us as we weren't working that day, but never showed up. Later they had said they were having voicemail problems, but after the most recent blow off I really doubt it was anything else other then their incompetence. read more

Outstanding service from Pinnacle. Painted my entire condo in half the time others quoted. Not the cheapest option, but worth it. Gave good advice on color and design options, ripped out a couple of built-in bookcases and repaired walls and baseboards perfectly, and I could not find a drop of paint on the floor or a drip on any wall. I've also hired them to paint my living room, bedrooms and baths at various times. Always happy with the results. They call, show up with a crew and they knock it out in record time. This company is only good if you are hard pressed to get paint on your walls. The work is sloppy with absolutely no attention to detail. Started painting without pulling the carpet away the walls something that we had specifically asked about so that we could get the trim painted in prep. for hard wood floors. They did it after and left bits of paint on the carpet. The paint job has dried up drips. They don't bother sanding down the bumps unless you ask and then you end up finding more. The doors have many dried drip marks. VERY POOR quality work. DON'T RECOMMEND. read more

We hired Pinnacle to paint our house in Fall of 2011 (We live in Brooklyn, NY-The Ann Arbor house is a rental). They were true to their estimate and did a great job. The house looks better than it has in many years. In addition to the painting, they did good prep work and replaced some wood (good matches). My only complaint is that they unplugged my sump pump to use for power and didn't plug it back in. I'm lucky I noticed that as our basement tend to get very wet. read more

Avoid. I've never actually written a review on Yelp before but I hope to warn others that this is not the paint company to go with; wait for the ones that are not available right away. We had hoped to avoid those fly-by-night or summer student paint companies and it was hard to find someone to be responsive to calls. Pinnacle was initially very responsive and seemed responsible/prompt but as soon as the deal was sealed forget about it. Poor communication, so-so work quality (we could have done at least as well ourselves in as many days as it took them if we had the time to do the job ourselves). We were told it would only take a few days but the time frame was ultimately doubled seemingly without cause or explanation (and no, they didn't communicate with us at all to tell us when we could expect to get it wrapped up - work sat undone for days). This was NOT a big job - we're talking two rooms. In the end when something wasn't done right they did not promptly address (we had to press for correction). I am being generous with the two stars as I'd like to give 1 but in the end we do have a few rooms painted that we didn't have time to paint ourselves so that was worth something. read more
