The only word I can use to describe my experience with Tribble is bizarre. If you're comfortable paying a significant estimate only to have the company redo all their work and deal with disrespect from a man named Joey, then Tribble is the right choice for you. Rod was our project manager, and I've included images below to showcase the quality of his work. According to Joey, Rod is "the best they have," but the pictures tell a different story. The work was sloppy, careless, and far from what we were promised. When we reached out to Joey to address the poor quality of the work, we were gaslighted into believing this was what we had paid for. We were told we didn't read our contract properly, that it didn't include sanding the walls, and even threatened with collections. To top it off, Joey casually dismissed our concerns with the comment, "even a pickle can set a pregnant lady off." However, when Nick evaluated the work in person, he confirmed that the quality was poor and agreed that everything needed to be redone. We paid nearly $5,000 for this experience. According to Tribble, they "made it right" by returning to redo the work--but that required as much time as the original project. We had arranged for the work to be done while we were out of town for convenience, but we were still displaced for two extra days, turning a two-day project into a four-day ordeal. As a result, we overpaid for subpar work, are now a month and a half behind schedule, and have endured unnecessary stress and disrespect, all for something as simple as having our walls painted. I'm at a loss as to how they could possibly think they "made it right." The final result is decent, though there are areas with uneven texture where they had to fix previous mistakes. We were told this was the best they could do. Will was the only one to offer a genuine apology and made a kind effort to address the issues, but that doesn't undo the frustration we've experienced. This has been the most expensive headache I've ever created for myself. What was meant to simplify our lives during pregnancy has instead caused a level of stress I can't fully describe. I'm left questioning the validity of all the positive reviews--our experience was the complete opposite. We will be using a different company for our futures projects. Our job consisted of a 2,000 sq. ft. two-story home: Interior walls, ceilings, trim, doors, kitchen cabinets, minus two main bathrooms and closets. I obtained four quotes and Tribble was the highest. Tribble was recommended by a trusted friend. $17K walls, ceilings, trim, doors + $6K for cabinets. Overall the crew did a great job of transforming our home: Aaron, Lee, Dylan, Will, Brandon, Gavin. The crew arrived every morning ready to-go. The paint looks great. The mud/drywall work is top-notch. The cut lines are impressive. I was thoroughly impressed with Lee's skills, he is a master at his craft. A majority of the walls were still drying on the final day and Tribble was kind enough to address any homeowner observations when the cabinet doors were installed. The observation walls were rerolled and look great. The oak kitchen cabinets look good with a fresh paint job. The island doors came out a little rough. I would have preferred more prep work on the cabinets without having to ask. Time will tell how well the paint holds up. read more

Tribble painted the exterior of our 2,100 sq ft home and we could not be happier with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the painters, Alayna and Brandon. They kept us informed of their progress, cleaned up around the house at the end of every day, and left us with a beautifully painted home. So trustworthy, and did good work!! We used Tribble for interior painting, and for extensive removal and replacement of exterior wood trim on the outside of our house. The painting crews were very professional, very polite and informative, did great work, and cleaned up after themselves before they left. Importantly, the exterior paint perfectly matched the rest of the siding. The work matched the estimate, and while I'm sure you can get a cheaper price, this quality work was worth every penny. When I had to reschedule, that was also handled smoothly. The painters were professional, competent, and cleaned up everything when they were done. Also, everyone I dealt with was masked. It's true....you get what you pay for. Was the Trimble quote higher than others I received, Yes. But am I glad I went with them...Absolutely!!! Mark W. and his crew (Rob and Darius, among others)arrived promptly every day for 5 days and worked professionally, quietly and as a team until the project was completed. In addition to the original paint project of 2900 sq. Ft of finished basement, they also assisted in completing trim work that included crown and window trim at an amazingly great price. There were never any surprises or any additional "cost over runs" that were not included in the original quote. Before they left the job we also added an upstairs bathroom to the paint list which they also completed on the last day. Will have them back in the future without a doubt!!! read more

This is a hard call. Tribble painted the outside of my house in Ann Arbor which is their core business. They provided a prompt estimate, good not great pricing, came as scheduled, were polite and did a good job. The owner is a very experienced, qualified business person. Tribble's job reflected the values he projected. My wife was home and managed the process. She felt happy with the Company and the job they did. The issue is when Tribble painted our other rooms and deck. In the case of the deck, they followed the same process - all good - and totally botched the preparation work. We currently have massive peeling after one winter. Tribble somehow blamed it on us because paint always has this problem. My wife and i scratched our head at this. We probably would have done anything that Tribble recommended. Calling Tribble with a problem is a customer service nightmare. The staff of the Company seems to avoid putting you in contact with the head guy. This is sad. He deserves bettter and his customers do to. We are now getting bids from other companies to do out indoor painting as a result. I plan to add to this post with more detail. read more

He did not rush the pre-job walk through and he was very responsive when one small area was overlooked in a powder room. It was addressed immediately and without hesitation! Todd Tribble came out to give us a quote for painting the exterior of our house. He told us that we really need to reside our house since he felt it would only last for 5-8 years before it was going to fall apart. We had the Georgia Pacific wood composite siding that is subject to swelling when exposed to water. Todd showed us where it is beginning to swell. He said that he would paint if we wanted to and it might last 8-10 years but he advised against it. We got 3 other quotes (all higher than Tribble) and none of the other contractors ever mentioned that we needed new siding. While I am not happy that we have to spend the money to reside, I am very impressed with a company that puts it's own self interest aside and recommends an action that will cause them to lose a job. We will definitely be calling Todd the next time we need painting. read more

We had all our internal walls painted including a three story great room, 3 levels, 4100 sqft, with 5 colors. From quote, performance, staff, and clean up they were professional across the board. These are not people doing odd job painting but full time staff, that are uniformed and professional. Brad our project manager was the best and highly recommended. This past fall, Tribble painted my home and redid my back deck with AZEK composite decking and a Westbury aluminum railing system. All staff was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. All completed work met or exceeded my expectations. A Tribble sales representative first met with me to gather information on what I wanted to get done. He then presented different options and worked with me to decide on a final option that best met my requirements and cost considerations. The sales representative was courteous and very knowledgeable and took the time to really understand what I was looking for. A contract was then signed and Tribble scheduled the days when their staff would be at my home to complete the work. The staffs that pre-washed and painted the house arrived on-time the day the work was scheduled to begin. As part of the pre-wash, they covered all plants and shrubs to ensure that they would not be damaged by the chemicals in the cleaning solution. All paint was applied using brushes and rollers. They were courteous, professional, and did an excellent job. The finished product met all of my expectations. The staffs that redid my deck and installed the railing system arrived on-time and were very knowledgeable and courteous. They suggested ways to install the decking and railing that would make it look better when finished. When installing, they took the time to ensure that all planks and railing were installed properly and met the desired finished look. The finished work met or exceeded all of my expectations. I hired Tribble Painting to paint my old aluminum siding. I was doubtful that I was going to be able to make it look new because of all the problems I heard about painting aluminum. But, Tribble put in additives to help adhere and the paint has held up for 2 years without any peeling. The one situation that stood out the most to me was when it was time to clean up the last day of the project. The lead painter was having a problem putting the lock on the back door they painted (which i put on and was a pain in the butt) so I told him not to worry about it, and I would take care of it. He said, "No, not leaving until this is back on" It took another hour and by that time it was already 7pm. But, he got the lock back on and did it with a smile while the rest of the crew waited patiently in the truck. That is true customer service! In turn, i highly recommend Tribble Painting to everyone. They might be a bit more expensive, but I would pay for quality and that kind of customer service every time! read more

I contacted this company for interior painting for my house. They were super quick to send Nick out for an estimate. The estimate was a little higher than others received but we decided to hire them anyway because they seemed the most flexible schedule wise and promised two day completion. Once we sent in our deposit it turned out scheduling wasn't so flexible. Communication and response to our inquiries became spotty. We were finally able to schedule a start date and got two emails confirming the day and time. We got a phone call at 4:20 pm the afternoon before saying they weren't going to be able to make it and we needed to reschedule. Oh, and our quote which included a seasonal discount was only good for the next two weeks. Good luck rescheduling...we are waiting on getting deposit back. read more

I've used Tribble Paint twice now, both times for interior whole house jobs. I also asked them to do considerable prep work before painting such as drywall repair, fixing nail pops, etc. The quality of work was impeccable and the painters they employ are highly professional. The job started on time as scheduled and was completed within the allotted time, or sooner. If the quality of the work is important, if starting and finishing the job on time is important, then you'll want to use Tribble. We used Tribble before and were satisfied. Recently, we asked for and received an estimate to paint a new garage door - that was primed at the factory. The estimate read, "Paint both sides of garage door and weather stripping with two coats of Benjamin Moore, or equivalent, latex paint." The small print stated that "All material is guaranteed to be as specified, and the above work performed in accordance with the specifications submitted and completed in a SUBSTANTIAL WORKMAN LIKE MANNER for the sum of $737.00" (Emphasis added). After two coats had been applied, the primer was still showing through in spots and the whole job was uneven. It took two more coats to complete the job, so only the outside got done. We declined to have the inside done. The workman said that the paint didn't cover as well because the color match required more pigment. And he did add a fifth coat, and was very polite. But it was still a disappointing experience, in that we trusted that the estimate would lead to a completed job. read more
