First time here , Do not trust this lady with important clothing. Dropped off a bridesmaid's dress brand new to get hemmed at the bottom. She returned the dress with stains and terrible stitching, there is thread poking out all underneath the dress. I saw 1 of many stains when I was walking to my car and asked her to take it out , at home I later found 3 other stains. I took the dress back and before I could even show her, she just handed me $5 and told me to take it to the cleaner because she didn't have time. I had to return with my cleaner receipt because it was more than a $5 fix, only then she wanted to help me and said she'd fix it for me but I had already dropped off my dress somewhere I trusted. Terrible customer service. She ended up refunding my cleaner bill with attitude but I should've never had to take it in the first place. They do not value quality service here. read more

I tried to support her small business by bringing all my medical scrub pants to her, But she ruin all my ten medical scrub pants!!!! ‍ I even tried on the scrub pants for her she mark them all with a pin for the length of my legs to fit perfect it! But when I paid her and picked up all my medical scrub pants for my new hospital lab job. I started to notice that all my scrub pants high waters. I even have to put my scrub pants little lower than my waist. It looks like where she marked it with the pin of instead of folding it and sewing she it , she cut it at the marked area instead. I purchased this kevlar vest for 'Alfie' (my cockatoo) 3 weeks ago and the velcro came off. I think it was stitched poorly, as the other side is stitched pretty well. So, I looked online for 'alterations' and came upon a lady (Twee) in Stanton..not far from me. I showed the vest to her (it was frayed from Alfie picking at it). I bought some yellow binding, and asked if she could put the binding on, and sew on another velcro strip. Twee did a fantastic job!! She even patterned the squares to match the vest squares, and used yellow thread no less!!. Twee reminded me that she's a 'tailor' (not just a seamstress) and proud of her work. Such talent! I bought this stunning dress from Marshall's that was an absolute dream. Unfortunately, as soon as I tried the dress on at home, the strap on one side broke! This dress was just so enchanting that I didn't really want to return it. The strap was rather thin so I wasn't sure if anyone would be able to sew back the strap securely so I could wear it. I was given EZ Sewing card by a friend. He strongly recommend them as they had mended some of his clothes in the past. Thuy was sweet. She could sometimes be very frank with what she was thinking, but overall she was fair and straightforward. I showed her my dress strap and she quoted bye $15 to sow the strap back on. I thought it was a little more on the expensive side. I was expecting the alteration to cost around $5-$10. She explained that they way that the dress was sown that she wouldn't be able just to sow the strap back on. I decided to go with Thuy since she seemed like she knew what she was doing! I didn't regret it! The dress came back looking like new. The entire process took about 4-5 days to finish. read more

I had a couple dresses that were a little too long for my height so I decided to give this place a shot based on Yelp reviews. The lady wanted to charge me $15-20 per item! Not sure what the average price is to get dresses altered, but I refuse to pay the same or even more than what the clothes are actually worth. I buy off the clearance rack at Target/Forever 21 for a reason! But maybe I'm being too cheap in this case? Meh. Thuy is such a sweet and amazing person! I was going on a trip to Seattle and Portland and waited last minute to get my jacket fixed since I had ripped the inside seams. Seeing how desperate I was to get it back by the end of the day since I had no other jacket to wear, Thuy practically dropped everything to work on my jacket. Had the fabric that she needed been available, I bet she would've been able to give me back my jacket within 30mins-1 hr. Can I just say...service above and beyond?! When I got my jacket back, Thuy didn't charge me any extra fees for the rush. She even took the time to explain how she fixed the jacket so that the same problem wouldn't happen on the other arm! Fast forward to 6 months later and my jacket doesn't feel or look like it'd been worked on. If you want quality service, come see Thuy. She's got great skills and is probably one of the most friendliest person you'll ever meet. p.s. Her shop might be a little hard to see, so look for the big Halal market. This is the only place I go to get my clothes tailored. I even told Thuy (pronounced "Twee") that I will have my clothes tailored at her house after she retires, provided the fact that she gives me her home address. In my opinion, her prices are reasonable, but the quality of her work is outstanding. She guarantees her work and will redo her tailoring if anything goes wrong after the initial tailoring (ex./ a stitch becomes undone). Here's what I like most about Thuy: she has your best interest in mind. She will not tailor your clothes for the sole purpose of making money. There have been several occasions where Thuy decided against tailoring my clothes, because she said they fit just fine on me. I trust Thuy unconditionally! read more

Came in as a walk-in last thursday, hoping to get my bridesmaid dress done by the wedding this Saturday. Luckily, Twee was able to fit me in, despite her busy schedule due to Prom season. I needed the hem brought up, and she asked me to try the dress on. I didn't bring the shoes, and asked if I needed them. She said that it's important to have them, since that will determine how high she will bring the hem. I didn't even think about it! She was very professional, and was so sweet! I just picked up my dress today(although it was ready yesterday --that was a 5 day turnaround), and it looks perfect. She definitely knows what she is doing. I went in and brought in four pairs of slacks and one pair of golf pants to get tailored for waist and length. The pants fit ok, they just needed a little off the waist and a little off the length. Thuy has me try on each pair of pants. She holds up the waist and asks how I like it. When she measures it, she says that it's "only a half-inch, it won't make any difference." I ask her what she means and she says that you need to take off at least one inch. I compromise and ask to her to take off 3/4" instead. She's adamant about taking off at least 1". Since she's the expert, I agree. Next I try on the golf pants, and again, it only needs 1/2" off the length. She says that most of her customers who play golf like their pants short. I tell her that I like them long, but she insists that shorter is the way to go. I feel a little uncomfortable, but again, I agree since she seems so knowledgeable. Long story short, the pants were too tight at the waist and too short in length. I had to bring them back and have her re-adjust them back. She gets a little angry with me and has me pay a little extra to get them fixed. I actually ended up donating my golf pants and buying new ones. The good news is that my new pants fit way better than my old ones. Bad news is that I spent $32 in tailoring and had to buy new golf pants anyway. read more

I have been going to E Z Sewing for probably close to 20 years (when she was between 7-11 and cleaners across the street). I would never think of having someone else tailor my clothes. I am a big guy so usually buying off the rack means alterations are necessary for sleeves and hems. Which is the case most recent for 2 pairs of Cutter and Buck jeans. I do not keep up with style trends so relying on her opinion has always been spot on. She has tailored everything from pants/slacks to suit coats and even deconstructed the sleeves on a new sweater to shorten for fit. Her skills are top notch and her turnaround times are pretty flexible. She has come through on short notice for me several times. Her work is always excellent and I have never had to take a single item back for a redo. Also need to mention that her prices are generally comfortably below pretty much everywhere else i have seen or heard about.. I can't reference her enough to friends and family!! Thuy will ALWAYS greet you with a smile and helpful attitude. She had heard, from my roommate, that I was in the hospital recently and was kind enough to show concern that my health was improving. And the search for a competent tailor continues. I thought something was amiss the last time around when I came back with 4 pairs of pants and a pair of worn jeans. Jeans had a tear in the back pocket. I paid $10+$2 tip, but then noticed that the pocket had stains that looked like a burn. She assured me it would come out when I washed it. Put it through the wash and the stains are still there. Then I checked the hem on my pants and the length is still slightly too long, so I drag the length around the floor. I tried on the pants with the same shoes I wear daily and the same belt. Finally, for her emergency repair which swept me in as a customer, I noticed that she didn't stitch the pocket shut like she was supposed to. I guess if you're not precise in your tailoring needs, she will suffice but I had expected a slightly better experience given the positive reviews before. So consider this a retraction of my previous review. read more

I am shocked that E.Z. Sewing does not have tons of reviews! You know how we are all looking for a good seamstress. Someone to take in that large dress or make those jeans a little bit more "skinny" fit.. Well, I found Twee owner and seamstress of E.Z. Sewing and she is wonderful. I brought in a rather large amount of clothing that I have been meaning to get altered for sometime now because I just was not feeling the two other places that I have gone to in the past. It's really hard to find that someone who will do an excellent job on your clothes. I brought in jeans that I wanted to get tapered in at the thigh to the ankle. Make them a little more "skinny" fit. Twee had me try on my jeans (several pairs) and she pinned them up and off we were to the next pair and the next pair.. etc. etc. Now, came time for my vintage dresses. I always buy vintage dresses knowing that I may have to get them taken in a little bit. Some alteration shops in the past have done a bad job in the past with my dresses leaving bad seems or bunches of material that I have to in the end fix myself. I just don't have the time to do this anymore nor would I want to after paying tons of money to get my clothing altered. Twee is just perfect. I tried on all my clothes the other day to test "her skills" out and I am really happy! I am always a little picky about my clothes when I get them back from an alteration shop. Examining the seems and the hems. Twee nailed it!! Twee has a magic wand when it comes to alterations. My vintage dresses are perfect! Jeans are perfect. Now, I don't have to buy new jeans for a while because she fixed like four pairs for me! Best part all of this ran about $97.00. Twee is so reasonable and honest. So I definitely had to write a review for Ez sewing! They are GREAT!I brought a pair of seven jeans In to be hemmed and made into skinny jeans, this is how my experience went. Twee greeted me when I got there in the friendliest way, then she asked that I try the jeans on. I told her exactly what I wanted... Shorter and skinny.. The only problem was I forgot my heels. She asked me how high I usually wear them and then suggested different lengths for my jeans. It took less then 10 minutes to have everything finished . I told her I needed the jeans by Friday and she said that was fine. This was a Monday.. On wed I called her cause I was going to be in the area and asked if they can be ready sooner. I brought in a satin dress with a broken zipper that I needed fixed asap! Twee was great! very helpful and was able to get my zipper fixed overnight for just a few dollars more! For just $15 I had my zipper replaced and with great care for my dress. I was nervous dropping it off, knowing the zipper would have to be seem ripped off and being satin, any carelessness could be the end of my lovely dress. But Twee did a beautiful job with it. Fellow Yelpers, I expected better out of you. Thuy as a person, absolute doll. I was supposed to pick up my dress a week later and when I arrived, hadn't even been touched. I had a feeling it was going to be a rush job. When I picked it up two days later, I found the following; loose threads outside and inside, scrunched up lining and the trimming at the waist on the right side was not aligned.
