I was expecting the worst when I first made contact with this place. They are not a big mega dealership, which is good in some sense but sometimes you get nervous about the small mom-n-pop shops because historically, small used car dealerships do not have a good reputation and rightfully so. I have to say that this place changed my impression. The first thing that stands out with this place is that they specialize in Teslas. They had more Teslas than any place within probably a 200 mile radius from Sacramento. When I went on their website they had plenty to choose from and a wide variety of models. Their website is pretty simple without a lot of gimmicky bait and switch tactics to get you to come in. I left my information on the site to let them know that I was interested in a couple of vehicles and called it a day with them. I did the same thing with a couple of other dealerships and was immediately bombarded with texts and emails and phone calls and spamming. I went in to check out a couple cars on a Wednesday and when I hit there, saw that it is a small place packed with Tesla's. Parking is not the easiest, but then again it is the Bay area so if you're familiar with the area, then you're used to it. When I arrived, I was able to look to my heart's content without some cheesy used car salesman jumping from behind a bumper with hard pressure sales tactics. A sweet older gentleman was outside after a while and he let me know if I had any questions or wanted me to unlock any of the vehicles he would be happy to help me. Other than that welcomed interaction, I was able to browse without being bothered. I enjoyed very much being able to take my time without any pressure. After looking for a little bit, I went in and spoke to their manager, Danny. Danny is a nice young man in his 30s, pretty mild mannered just like the other gentleman that I met in the lot. Pretty low-key, no pressure, no BS. Again, I appreciated it. I told him that I would be back on Saturday with my wife. He gave me his card. He gave me the option of holding a car with the deposit if I was interested in a specific one and again, no pressure no hard sales tactics. My wife and I came back on Saturday. We were expecting the worst again because that's when I planned on going through with the sale. That's usually when the car dealer sticks it to you. That's usually when they know they have their hooks and you and that's usually when they take advantage of you and where you out. Once again, these guys changed my impression. Everything was low-key. There was no pressure with anything. There was full disclosure. There was no upsell, no thousand dollar scotch guard or $2000 ceramic coat or $3000 low Jack., and no bait and switch. No last-minute add-ons. No fees that weren't disclosed. My sales contract in the end was exactly as it was described in the beginning. All the numbers were as they described. I am definitely a fan of these guys. I did not know then but know now that it is a family owned business. The whole family works there and that probably contributes to the relaxed atmosphere. It is not the Taj Mahal. It is not Beverly Hills. It is not a lot of marble, and big screen TVs and cappuccino machines but, if you want to get a good deal on a good used Tesla and you want to be treated fairly without any hidden tricks or surprises, I highly recommend you give these guys a try. I'll bet you will drive away with a new to you, Tesla!

This place was 3 hours from where I live. Their price was so fairly priced that I spent $200 just to get an Uber to get there for the purchase. Upon inspection of the vehicle, I did find a few areas of concern, however, the owner Danny offered to cover the cost of the concern I brought up. Furthermore, the whole process of test driving and proceeding with the purchase was seamless and a great experience. I'm glad I went with this company and will definitely be a return customer when I am ready for another Tesla! Also, Wise and Ali are both very helpful and great members of the team!!

Bought my car in December and waited a few months to post a honest review. 4 months later, car runs like a gem. Sale rep, a male, forgot his name but he was great. Very informative and efficient sales. Non pushy and got us in a car that works in our budget. They were so good, I'm referring my mother who is in the market to purchase a Tesla.

Even the interior was pristine

I can't recommend this place enough! Ali and Danny helped get into my dream Tesla model 3 for a ridiculously good price. No other dealership or even Tesla themselves gave me this sort of service, care, and attention. They're just genuinely really caring and great people. An amazing family owned community business. Will definitely be getting all of my future cars here for my family!

I recently bought a Tesla model 3 here and it was a great experience! I got to test drive the car and was given plenty of time to decide whether or not I wanted to purchase it *spoiler alert- I did*. Ali helped me through the entire process. Not only did I get a great deal, it was at the perfect price point which allowed me to claim the used EV rebate. Ali was also quick with the paperwork and I never felt pressured to buy any additional warranties or services. He was honest and accommodating throughout the process, he even offered advice on additional rebates I might be able to get through pg&e. He organized all the paperwork and let me know what I needed to submit with my taxes at the end of the year. He's even going the extra mile so I can get my plates and title sent to me. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a great deal on a used car!

Karoush was great -he didn't waste my time on things I didn't need, but knowledgeably answered any questions I did have. Best of all, although I was willing to accept one of the vehicles that were local, he knew my first choice for color and took the time to go several hours away to pick up one in that color, so I could be completely satisfied. On top of that I got a great deal and my lease payment is actually significantly less than what I was paying on my older EV6, same trim package. RC in finance was also super easy and efficient to work with. In the past, my biggest issue with car buying has been all of the BS and wasted time, and I got NONE of that with Kia Serramonte. Nobody knew who had been reassigned to my car or if it was even looked at. The work order was incomplete and most things were never entered. The staff was rude and unhelpful. A gentleman did respond to the post saying the normal : This should never have happened etc. And to call the manager at Serramonte Subaru to address the problem. I called and the manager that I was supposed to talk to was not there. I was asked to leave him a voicemail which I did. I got no response. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a company and subjected to the rudest staff ever. I am now going to Burlingame Kia. Stay away from this place and don't think "Alham" means what he says. He just posted his response so it looks like they are going to fix the problem and take care of you. He is not.

While my vehicle was in their custody, it fell from a service lift and was damaged. The repair required sectioning and welding work on the rocker panel area. Although the dealership arranged for the body repair, the overall handling of the situation was poor. The repair process took months with repeated changes to the completion date and very limited communication. I frequently had to follow up myself to get updates. Even more concerning, after the accident occurred under their control, the dealership still charged me over $350 for the original service visit and refused to offer any form of diminished value compensation for the damage caused to my vehicle. Accidents can happen, but how a business responds afterward matters. In this case there was little accountability, poor communication, and no effort to make the situation right. I hope Serramonte Volkswagen reviews their service procedures and customer care policies so future customers do not have the same experience.

While I was already on the way, another representative, Rachel Pagan, sent me a message confirming the appointment and saying she looked forward to meeting me and appraising the car. I responded immediately, but after about 40 minutes she followed up they were no longer interested due to modifications something that was clearly visible in the photos they had already reviewed. I understand dealerships have policies, but this should have been communicated before scheduling, especially given the distance. Overall, a disappointing experience and a lack of consideration for a customer's time.

Buying a used/pre-owned vehicle seems quite the mystery most of the time, and any car purchase almost seems subject to endless hassle until you get the keys.. Enter CarMax.. Backstory: At the recommendation of a good neighbor, we decided to consider CarMax when shopping for an extra car for the family. They have a HUGE selection of vehicles at each of their locations. As with everything these days, we started with searches on all the usual car shopping websites, but CarMax seemed to have the most solid candidates worth considering. There was one car that we liked at a CarMax store located maybe 40 miles away, so we requested to have that car shipped to CarMax's Colma location - at no cost to us. After a test drive of this and another possible candidate, we decided to purchase the car, but they don't take partial deposits! That said, they could reserve a car for you for 24/48 hours, so we returned with the funds to pick it up two days later. The salespersons seem to be non-commissioned, and all were interchangeable in role and well trained to perform pretty much any part of the sales process, everything from tire-kicking mode, to closing out the sales paperwork. Practically zero up-selling during the sales process either.. Just a question about extended warranties, and that was it. Write the check, and the car is ready for you in their inbound/outbound area. SIMPLE, STRAIGHTFORWARD, ZERO HASSLE, Professional competent courteous service with a great selection of pre-owned vehicles that seem to be in pretty decent shape. PRO TIP to be aware of: These are used cars, and we found that minor cosmetic damage isn't always ALL listed on their web listings when they tend to just show one imperfect spot. Minor cosmetic damage is stuff such as curb rash or minor scrapes on the body less than 3" long. Remember, these are pre-owned vehicles, so a little bit of wear and tear is to be expected! We are happy with our purchase here, and certainly would keep CarMax on our shopping list in the future!

CarMax offer was so good that I was afraid they would bait and switch but I had my plan B. I had a shipping quote. I could always ship it back to Ohio where driving is less scary Other companies, for the most part, wanted me to drive it over to them without giving me a tentative price. The companies that did give me a quote were looking to make a huge profit at my expense. Nope CarMax gave me a quote, dependent on whether I was accurate about the mileage and condition. I walked out with a check for the amount they said they'd pay. The entire process took about an hour or so. Timothy was our guy. He clearly explained things. My license plates were put in a nice CarMax tote bag. Timothy then asked how we were getting home, we are seniors. I was going to walk a mile to Colma Bart then grab MUNI once I hit the city. Timothy treated us to a Lyft. Definitely a 5 star experience from start to finish.

A note of caution -…read more Dumb ways for a dealership to make a good sales experience less good... My wife and I purchased a new 2026 Leaf SV+ from Nissan Serramonte in December. Sales experience was fine. Salesman and sales manager both did their things competently and politely, so far so good. The trim line we purchased did not come with a cargo cover for the rear hatchback area, so we negotiated that one be added as part of the purchase. The dealership advised that they did not have one in stock, and that they would order it to arrive "soon" and would call when it was in. Still good. Two weeks later, no calls to us, so we started calling them. We were told cover was on order, it should arrive in the next few days, they would call. Sadly, no calls to us, so we called again multiple times over multiple days until (about 3.5 weeks after purchase) we are told cover has arrived, we can come in to pick it up. Not great, but still ok. Drive back over (about 30min away, each way), pick up cover in a large cardboard box, toss it in car and head back home. Now it gets weird. The cargo cover is a large flat molded piece that comes with a small bag of parts, instructions in Japanese, and no obvious way to install. Called the dealership again and were told they would install it, just bring it back in. Now it is starting to feel like a waste of time, not so great. Confirmed a time to bring it in with our salesman, confirmed it could be done while I waited, and drove back to the dealership. After arriving there I hear that: (1) installation requires drilling holes in the hatch pillars or plastic covers, that this requires some sort of printed templates, that this is a surprise, and that they will need to charge for the installation, and (2) they are really busy right now so they can either get to it in five hours, or I can schedule another time. Now I am no longer a happy customer, and thats how it goes... Use caution if you use this dealership.
