I got eyebrows and upper lip done. I'm happy about how my eyebrows turned out, so this review is mostly about my upper lip wax. For Upper Lip, she waxed and threaded the hair. In that process, she accidentally tore the skin on my lip. I would NOT recommend getting a wax or anything here before a big event. read more

It's not often I come across one- and two- star places, but save yourself the trip and go to European Wax Center instead. I made an appointment for an eyebrow wax online, as a first-time customer. When I sat down, my technician started preparing to thread my eyebrows, despite me booking a wax. I had to tell her to stop and was pressured into getting threaded several more times, even though I kept saying I only wanted a wax. There was no hello, no introduction, and the wax job was so bad, I could've done it myself. You would think this person never waxed before. The technician I booked with wasn't even working that day, and no one was wearing gloves or using new or clean materials. They were nice and the prices are affordable compared to other places. I am sure they didn't men to deliver a bad experience, but I would keep driving past this place. read more

First of all the place is severely understaffed. I had to wait for an hour and half to get my facial done. I also did my eyebrows and it hurt too much at that time but it is after coming back home I noticed that I had cuts on both my eyelids and now they are showing up like tiny red dots. I have a party tomorrow and simply don't know how to hide the marks. During the facial, she used the suction for pulling out the blackheads that left 2 ugly blotches on my face and nose. When I asked about it, the lady very casually said it will go away tomorrow but it's still there. So save yourself a trip to this horrific place. Above all of this their services are extremely expensive! While you can easily get your eyebrows done for anything between 12-15 dollars, this place charges 20 dollars. I have gone here a few times hoping my experience would improve but unfortunately that's not the case due to 2 main reasons: 1.) unprofessional workers: every time I enter the facility I am INCREDIBLY clear that I just need my brows done. However after she finishes threading my eyebrows, she'll ask me if I want other areas threaded. I get annoyed every time by this question. I have also received a question along the lines of "did you do your own eyebrows before? They look bad" I was taken aback by these intrusive and rude questions. Never wasting another dollar here. 2.) long wait times: I've had to wait nearly 30 minutes to get my eyebrows done, even when there was no one in front of me. When I went, there were 2 workers and 2 customers (including myself). The other customer was being extremely picky and was very unsatisfied with her eyebrows. The lady doing my brows had to switch over to the idiot customer and I was left waiting unattended for 20 minutes with only one eyebrow complete. I felt so unvalued. Never have I ever felt so unappreciated in my life at a business I don't know why I would continue to come back to this unprofessional business. 10/10 would NOT recommend. read more

Patty did a terrible job on my eyebrows. She told me to grow them out, even though they were grown out. I have sparse eyebrows but she was instructing me like i dont know my own face. She finished threading in less than 2 mins. There was no shape and when i asked her to fix it, she fixed one. There were extra hairs all over and cuts. Threading was very bad - didn't even clean up properly and left a ton of stray hairs all over the eyebrows / upper lip area. Had to get it fixed afterward. Also charged much more than other places. Was at Westfield and waiting for something to be ready, so I did a quick search to see if I could get my brows done during that down time. I came across this place and took my chances -- and I'm so glad I did! I hadn't had my brows cleaned up in months and the ladies here brought my brows back to life. The shape is perfect. Everyone was so nice and sweet, and I appreciated them checking in occasionally to see if I was happy with how it looked. Everyone wore masks, there was plenty of sanitizing in between steps, and I felt safe overall. There was no wait on a Saturday afternoon, and drop in was fine. The other salon in the mall is a touch less expensive, but I liked that this one focused on brow services. read more

Went in yesterday to get my brows threaded. I used to visit the location at Valleyfair. This was my first time to the new location and it's beautiful! I've been there 3 times today alone. Not because anything is wrong but because I came into get henna done from Patty and I brought both my kids back independently. Patty is amazing. She does such detailed work and really make you feel comfortable. She really cares for her customers. She even used the hair dryer to dry each of the designs to make sure the designs completely dried. She does facials, massage and other services too. If I could receive a refund for the balance of my pre-paid package I would stop going here. The salon does not have consistent stylists, which sucks because they all thread differently. Ultimately, I'm giving a poor rating because I came in for a cleanup last night and the stylist removed the entire ends of my eyebrows! When a client is going in for a cleanup, you shouldn't reshape and definitely shouldn't remove excessive amounts of hair. A cleanup means I like my shape and length, and just need the outliers removed If the stylist wasn't sure what a cleanup looked like for me then she should have asked. read more

The threading was very painful and horrible, she made my eyebrows on one side way too thin. During the whole time she kept asking personal questions like if I had a job and when I was going to apply for one. This was after I had told her multiple times that I was a student at UC Santa Cruz. She still persisted to ask if I had job after that. Then without asking, she starts to thread the hairs on my face, which I did not want her to do. At the end when she rang me up, she tried to sign me up for a membership to this place for $75 a month!! I told her to take that off my bill. Then she told me that because she did my face it was $45 total. This was a service I did not ask for her to do, but I was already put up with arguing with her and I just payed it. When it got to the tip part she looked at it and watched me pick the options which I felt was rude, I gladly pressed zero. She gave me a dirty look, but I didn't care. After this was all said and done I have in-grown hairs all over my cheeks now. I will never be going back to this place again. read more

I've come to Eyebrow Plus (Amiri) since I moved to the bay and they've never disappointed. I know the offer other services than eyebrows such as hair, but I only do my eyebrows threading here. They are exceptional and super quick. The most I've ever waited here has been ten minutes. They're also pretty quick and threading it but if you find it too quick and rushed then let them know if there's anything they missed. I had my eyebrows threaded and tinted by Patty. Her work is precise. She's friendly and energetic. This was my first time getting them tinted, and I was pleased with the outcome. The threading took about 10 min, and the tint about 20 min. The color filled my eyebrows a bit more and yet, still look natural, which was what I wanted. She can also make them more bold, if that's your preference. Just communicate that to her. If you plan on going on swimming, let her know that, so she can adjust the tint so they last longer. The tint can last 1-2 weeks. read more

Waited at the entrance for 15 minutes waiting for a customer to finish. The man who was servicing was the only one present at the location. I patiently wait for my turn, then this lady behind me falls in line behind me.. totally normal. The worst part about this is the man didn't even acknowledge me when I was waiting, then took in the Indian lady behind me and spoke Hindi as if I wasn't there or next. I asked if she had an appointment and he said no. So I politely I asked if I could go first because I was there first anyways and I called in before hand to double check if I needed an appointment or if I could just walk in. I don't know if this guys is unintentionally racist, or just terrible at running his business but I highly do not recommend this place. They really do a terrible job with customer service, and the employee working today Wednesday (3/09/21) is an asshole. I've been to multiple places and usually the case is simple.
