I liked the small, local shop feel, but I found there to be some lack of professionalism as they talked among themselves and there were even dogs allowed in the office. In my opinion that's just weird for a doctor's office unless it's a service dog. I wore a mask despite being vaccinated because that's my preference and I knew getting my eye exam and trying on glasses would require me to be up close with the doctor and techs. I was told "you don't have to wear that." It just felt unnecessary. The hallway down to the actual doctor's office was a bit untidy and then the doctor's office was pretty worn looking too. The lenses they had me look through to test my vision had some damage to them that couldn't be easily wiped off, and this made it hard for me to tell if I was getting an accurate vision test. I liked the doctor for the most part but she casually mentioned that due to my astigmatism, I have a significantly higher chance of retinol detachment, which I hadn't known and her casual tone was a bit alarming. When I tried to ask more questions I felt a little dismissed and she basically just said "don't worry about it because worrying doesn't help." I would have rather known more about the science behind her statement and it would have been nice to be given some resources. I don't think Bronze is the place for me but it does beat the long wait time at LensCrafters. I also like the idea because it's a small practice you can get to know the doctor rather than just seeing someone random like at Lenscrafters. I'll be on the lookout for a new eye doctor that accepts my insurance.

She checked my insurance ahead of time for preauthorization and called me back to schedule an appointment that worked perfectly with my schedule. When I arrived I felt so welcomed, specifically because the owner set me up with my paperwork and even offered me water or tea. I get the feeling that Bronze introduces himself to every new patient and that is such a thoughtful touch that goes a long way. The decor is also lovely - kind of an arts and crafts style and it feels like you're in someone's home. My exam with Dr. Cook was very thorough and I thought he was just fantastic. He has a very relaxed demeanor, which puts you right at ease, and he explains everything along the way. I felt like he and I were working together to find the best contacts and prescription for me, not like other doctors where they just tell you what it is. After my exam, I met with Tamia who helped me figure out how best to maximize my insurance benefit (glasses vs. contacts) and look at some frames. She was wonderful and helped make sense of it all. She also has a great eye for what will look good on you. I will go here from now on and I highly recommend them to everyone.

I took my frame and new lenses ( in a box ) to Ocomomowoc Vision. Emily graciously replaced the old lenses with the new ones. VOILA-- I can now read: words appear as clear, sharp images. But Dr. Kim heard me out, talked calmly and not like a sales person about my light Progressive options, and heard me out as I preferred a regular distance Rx and a supplemental computer script. Dr. Kim and the technician were top notch and I will return! Was looking forward to choosing some cool frames and found a pair I liked but the aren't manufactured to my needed frame size. Very confident to take my Rx elsewhere for frames and highly recommend Metro Eye!

The eye Drs at lakeshore eye professionals are bar none. 3 of my children have been treated for…read morelazy eye with Dr Jay and Dr German. They communicate clearly what they are doing at all times and make the eye exam an easy process. My youngest child in glasses was only 4 when he began treatment and with his special needs with adhd and his anxiety they worked well with him. Over the years we have seen Dr German for continued care and he is patient and very calm in his practice. The once 4 year old is now 15 and we will continue care as long as our eyes need it. One of my children needed to see a retina specialist and the office worked with us to get her scheduled at that office. With insurance changes we have gone sporadically to other optometrists and ophthalmologists but the care we received elsewhere just doesn't compare to lakeshore.
