I've been here twice for glasses and contacts and both times have been great. The optometrist was…read morevery friendly and efficient. The rest of the staff there were very helpful and friendly as well. They helped me choose the best way to get contacts and glasses at the same time while using my insurance to the best effect. My glasses came in the day after I came in for my exam and ordered them! I couldn't believe how quickly that went especially since I have a very strong prescription. The optician adjusted my glasses better than I've ever had them adjusted to fit absolutely perfectly. I will not be going anywhere else for my eye care. They seem to know their jobs well and care about the patients and making them happy.

He wrote a prescription and told me to come back the following Monday for him to get a quick look and told me I was good to purchase my contacts. I checked out at the front and paid $75.25, I told the receptionist the doctor asked me to return Monday and that I would be back that day to order contacts. when I showed up Monday at 12:30 (lunch) I was told that doctor smith was gone for the day. I said that's fine I'd like to purchase my contacts at which point I was told I don't think that's a good idea with out seeing the doctor. I told the lady that I was suppose to see him today and was never told to come prior to a time other than what is listed on the door for operating hours. She that's ok you can come back tomorrow; I replied with I took an hour off of work and drove 30 minutes to be here and she said I u destined would you like for me to set up a time to see the doctor tomorrow. I said no please transfer my prescription and she said she wouldn't do that until my evaluation is complete (even though the doctor said I could purchase them after he saw me a week earlier). I asked if I have paid in full and she said yes, I said then why did you charge me if the eval is not complete and she said this just how we do it. I said I have to work to pay for doctors and eye insurance and that I can't come back up here again so please issue me a refund. She issued me $55.25, and never told my why I wasn't given the full amount.

Downtown opticians has horrible customer service do not do business with them! I took my kids…read morethere since one of my kids was having difficulty seeing the board at school, they were not particularly welcoming to me or my 2 kids. The optometrist was also not particularly friendly. (We had previously been to Primary Eyecare just across from Downtown Opticians and was used to friendly courteous service, but was not able to get an appointment soon enough). When it was time for my son's contact lense fitting the lady helping him was very impatient with him even though she knew it was his first he was wearing contacts. She was getting frustrated because he was not able to put the contacts in quickly enough and it was getting late in the evening so we came back the following week for him to learn how to put the contacts in. Once again, the same lady was there and offered the same horrible customer service. She actually said in a very rude dismissive tone "you came at a bad time to do this because we are very busy right now". At this time there was only one other person in the store! I was shocked and thinking doesn't she realize I am a customer and I am spending my hard earned money with your company! I was not planning to place the order for contacts with them but against my better judgement I did. I was told they would be in within 7 days. After almost 2 weeks passed I called to inquire and was told they hadn't come and they were not sure when they would arrive but would call me when they came in. A few days later I called again and spoke to Rachael still no contacts, so I politely said "please refund my money I will order it somewhere else". (I ended up ordering them from Sams Club and saved $30.00 and they were ready for pick up in 3 days) Instead of refunding my $100.00 she debited another $100.00 and didn't even bother to call me and notify me of this incompetent error! I later found out while I was checking out at Walmart and my card declined!! I was extremely upset. No manager or anyone from this company has since offered any apology. But if I can save someone from having to deal with these rude incompetent people that's justice. Maybe they are not familiar with the expression "bad news travels fast" I will also report them to the BBB.

Perhaps you may have misinterpreted their tone? It's hard to believe they were that rude. I have been going there for years. The doctor is always really nice. They usually tell me if the contacts are going to take awhile to come in. They always send me home with a trial pair.

Krystal was really nice and personable. She walked me through all the pre-screen tests and made everything easy to understand. Every time I've visited this location the entire staff is friendly and personable. The optometrist is patient and explains everything to me about my eyes and answers all of my questions. Typically the exam is quick and thorough. Once I get my prescription I take my time to shop for the perfect eye glasses. LensCrafters has some of the best selections amongst optical shops near me. They have all the high-end brands like Prada, Ray-Ban, Tiffany and many more. The staff is helpful when it comes to making my final decision. I have purchased sunglasses and eye glasses from here and have been pleased with everything. I love that they have flexible hours and that I can schedule my exams on Saturday since I live almost an hour away. This location is always organized and clean. If you are searching for a place to purchase your next pair of glasses or need an eye exam, look no further.

I am thoroughly disappointed and appalled by the level of unprofessionalism displayed by your front…read moredesk staff. I called with a simple, routine request: to have a prescription faxed and later corrected. Instead of receiving the courteous, efficient service that every patient is entitled to, I was repeatedly interrupted, dismissed, and hung up on not once, but twice. Let me be very clear: this is unacceptable. As a paying patient, I have rights that are not optional, rights that are protected by law, and rights that should be honored by any healthcare facility that claims to operate with integrity. Your receptionist was not only rude but clearly overwhelmed or unwilling to fulfill her basic responsibilities. If patient care is secondary to whatever else she was prioritizing, then perhaps this profession which is rooted in compassion, diligence, and trust is not the right fit for her. Let's not forget: the Hippocratic Oath exists for a reason. If healthcare is not a priority at your facility, you should not be in this field. Period. I am a woman with the education, experience, and awareness to recognize malpractice, patient neglect, and plain disrespect when I see it and I will not tolerate it. Furthermore, I recommend your staff brush up on the Patient's Bill of Rights particularly the right to be treated with dignity, to receive accurate information, and to access proper communication without hostility or delay. The behavior I experienced falls far below that standard, and I will be documenting and reporting it accordingly. I wouldn't recommend your practice to anyone and certainly not to a dog. Do better.

Dietra brought so many frames as choices, I was like a kid at Christmas. The insurance paperwork was handled the same day, my frames were chosen and my appointment was set for 2 days later. When I returned for my exam., with my insurance and discounts, Detria was able to not only save me money but used the insurance allowance to get me all I wanted and only left 1.00 on the table. I had no expense out of pocket. Although I had been a walk in, I was treated as if I had an appointment. Thanks, guys. I payed $120 just for an exam and a contact "FITTING" (putting in the contacts myself) this price did not include any contacts nor glasses. The glasses were an additional $210 on top of the other fees. They only have high end frames so just be prepared or don't come at all. Just buy glasses online fam. In this economy outrageous. The people were nice but I was not expecting $330 price tag. A redeeming quality was the service. Everyone was kind and explained what was happening. I mostly have a gripe with a lack of transparency within the medical industry.

When I called to ask Dr. Earls more questions before scheduling the exam, I was told she was with a patient - she never called me back. I called back a week later to ask for Courtney, who never seems to be in the office, and again was told Dr Earls would call me - she never did. After 3 phones and tomorrow being THREE WEEKS, I STILL have not heard from their office AT ALL. Today I called a final time and was told by the receptionist that it wasn't "a doctor day," that Courtney isn't in, and then told that Dr Earls would be out ALL week for Spring Break (NOT what the receptionist originally said). I'm obviously being given the run around, and after spending close to $1,000 for their overpriced glasses and sunglasses at my last appointment. Dr Earls is excellent...IF you can see her in person. She doesn't return phone calls, neither does Courtney, apparently, and the receptionist doesn't seem to want to help pass on messages, as she gives the run around when explaining where the two primary employees are at any given time of the workday. After years with this company, and already being frustrated with the high prices, this was the final straw. Our family will be finding an optometrist and eyeglass company that respects and corresponds with customers in a timely fashion. I DO NOT recommend DePoe for these reasons.
