I have done this before in other cities and states with no issues. However, this one was not smooth. I didn't receive my dolly or clothes, and the process required that they validate me before releasing the truck. My concern with this is that it means if they do not validate you and you were dropped off at the place, you would end up stranded. What I've dealt with in the past is pre-approval before the day in question such that the actual pickup goes much more smoothly. I would encourage them to consider the process and also make sure to provide people the items they request so their move goes much better.

Hopefully, I will be able to get the money to make the final payment before I permanently remove my belongings from this company, as they have shown me no semblance of the loyalty I have shown them over the past 12 plus years. It's located on RT 301/Crain Hwy and it's easily to bypass it if you aren't intentionally looking for it. The staff are very friendly and will help you find exactly what will fit your needs and won't try to nickel and dime you. The units are clean and very secure. There's a pass-code access gate that you will need to dial into to enter and leave the premises. 24/7 surveillance for those that are looking for the piece of mind knowing your belongings are safe. Convenience was also a factor for me and knowing that I could pay my monthly rental fee online right through my phone made the choice to go with Castle that much easier.

I had a unit here (L511), and despite clearing it out on time on April 27th, this company continues to charge me for a space that is EMPTY. I even told them to check their own surveillance cameras between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM that day -- you'll clearly see me pulling up, loading my things, and leaving. But instead of doing their due diligence, they've chosen to ignore facts and try to squeeze extra money from me. The worst part? An employee named Maurice blatantly lied about the status of my unit. He falsely claimed items were still there and tried to use a photo of items I had already tossed in the dumpster as "evidence." Completely dishonest and unacceptable. I've contacted them multiple times and explained everything, and still -- nothing. Just more charges for a unit I clearly vacated. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and warning everyone I know to avoid this location. We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

When I first talked with Kelley Matthews in 2023 I noticed she was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. It was a pleasant experience setting up my unit and I am satisfied with the price. A few days ago, I received a detailed email from Robert that there had been a water leak in the hallway by my unit and that I would need to come down and open it to check it out, in case of potential damage. I also needed to come to the office anyway to update some contact information. I had not talked to Robert prior to meeting him this morning but he was also very professional, courteous, informed, friendly, and attentive. I was able to get my information updated quickly and we went to check out the potential issue. Though there was no damage to my things, we did discover some pooling of water in the ceiling inside the unit. Robert suggested we relocate my unit so that my items were not damaged in case of a leak. I agreed, so he managed to find an empty unit only two over from my previous unit! We quickly finalized the paperwork and I moved the items over without any hassle. The entire process was smooth and I was in and out in an hour and a half. Even though it was unexpected, the whole situation was handled very well and I am happy. My items are in good shape and I feel secure storing my valuables at Self Storage Plus La Plata because I know they are on top of things there. Thank you all!
