I am very honest and fair and never just write a review that is 5 stars or 1 star because I am emotionally charged or anything. My hope is someone will see my review and have an honest view of what to expect. 2 days after my review of this facility the manager woman I have never seen before handed me an envelope with a smile on her face and said my lease is being terminated and I have till the first to get out. She said I had multiple violations accessing the property after closing where my gate code was used. I told her that was impossible because I am very vigilant about abiding by all the rules and I promised her there is nobody who can show a single piece of evidence backing that claim. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager; so I asked to speak to someone above her and she said that I was not allowed to speak to anyone above her but she would let them know I would like to speak to them, but not to get my hopes up because these decisions are almost never reversed. I said this feels very much like I'm being discriminated against and that I'm disabled and the unit is very important to me. I repeated that I never broke the rule and nobody ever mentioned me violating a rule to allow me to make sure I never did it again and she said I was seen in the parking lot past 10pm and that is considered a violation. Me making a phone call after leaving my storage before I drove to my next destination is the claim after she realized I never accessed the gate with my code after hours and that was a bogus claim. I cannot believe I am being kicked out because I didn't give them a 5 stars review. This is the most childish behavior and to smile in someone's face when you know you are making a decision that is going to make a persons life extremely difficult is so messed up. How someone can enjoy that moment is disturbing. I used to be a Forman working up on the light rail and even when I had to fire someone who definitely deserved it, I felt terrible delivering that news because I was causing unknown hardship for him. This woman looked like it's her favorite thing to do. Save your money and energy and go to a nicer place with a better staff. These people were the worst, and their units were horrible too. I suggest going to pearl street self storage if it's convenient for you. Thank people are very nice and the units are the best I've ever seen. I can't write enough to describe how horrible secure space is. Don't go through what I went through and go somewhere else

They were up front and transparent about any extra charges (we were charged $150 for the 32 steps up to our flat). And these guys worked HARD with hardly any downtime or breaks. I was floored. You may be able to find a lower hourly rate with other moving companies in the city but I was beyond pleased with their hard work and was happy to pay the rate with how quickly they got the job done. I understand the truck broke down, but at some point it should have been considered renting a truck. The crew was 7.5 hours late. They did not even mention the fact upon arrival. The truck they brought already had some furniture in it among other things. The crew was in a hurry except when they decided it was time to chat with each other. They did not treat my things with care (as advertised), they just tossed things around. They took things apart without making sure all the pieces were together. I am still missing some shelves they took out of furniture. Some things were broken. They used tape on painted wooden furniture which took off the paint or left a sticky mess behind. When I gave instructions as to what needed to be taken I repeated myself constantly. They did not seem to understand most of what I stated clearly. They did not communicate with me about most things they were doing, they just did whatever they saw fit. They left a huge mess and a 10' truck load of furniture that I had to pay for to move the next day. Thankfully my handyman helped us move what was left behind. Upon arriving at the new location they were in a hurry to get done. I asked that the furniture be placed in the proper room. That seemed to me an impossible feat. More than 3 times I asked them to move a large cabinet to the spare bedroom. There is no way that I could move it later on my own. Again, they did not communicate well. If I was not in the room they would just put things anywhere. When the truck was empty of my things the one who seemed to be in charge came for payment. They did not arrive until approximately 7:15 pm and finished about 11:15pm. He stated that it took 5 hours. I did not think about it at the time. I was stressed out by the chaos. But is seems to me did not work out that way in math class. I payed over $900 for my life and possessions to become a huge confusing mess. I discovered after they left that the furniture that had come with the truck was left outside the dumpster at the new location. Really unprofessional all around. The youngest one seemed to be the nicest and he did try to understand what I wanted. Too bad they didn't all try.  Overall, I do not think that I got what I paid for. I would like to see some of my money reimbursed. There should be some compensation for the 7.5 hour delay on a moving day that everything was timed around, (cleaning, carpets, etc.) when so much time was lost. The next day was pure hell! If not for the quick work and thinking of my handyman I would still be in a state of confusion. As it is I had to take extra days off work to try and make some sense of the mess. When I called they said they had to review the issue. No one ever got back to me.
