I was never told about this, and EVERY SINGLE TIME I went to move an item out or put an item in, this LOUD ASS ALARM would always go off and scare the ever-loving life out of me. I STILL have NO IDEA why the alarm goes off, and it was never communicated that you had an alarm of any kind. Does it go off because of noise? Or because the office is closed? No idea, but it went off every time I went to this place. Please let us know if there's a lunk alarm like a Planet Fitness! I would've loved to know that before signing on. 2 - PRICES WAY TOO OVERPRICED for what you're getting. You're telling me I get to pay $200 a month to get my ears blasted off every time I come by. I asked about downsizing, and their prices are still crazy for even a 5 x 7 unit. I could get the same storage for half the price at Instorage in Yorba Linda, AND I won't get the shit scared out of me every time I go in there. 3 - CARTS Generally speaking, most storage places have carts or rollers that you can use, these places make it especially hard for you to use these features. They require that you walk to the front desk (which, if it's far from your unit...good luck) give them your ID or keys, then they give you a key to unlock one particular color-coded cart that is even further from your storage unit. Once you walk all the way back to your unit after walking from the carts,,, after walking FROM the office. You can use the cart. Don't worry. Once you're done. You're gonna have to do the whole process in reverse now just to get your ID back. SERIOUSLY need to rethink the way you give out carts. The staff was fine overall, but they never really "helped" when I actually needed help. For a place that was charging so much, you guys could've been a little more helpful, especially with communication regarding that stupid god forsaken alarm. Can you tell what motivated me to write this? Overall,,,would give 0 stars if I could. Never had a worse storage experience than this place.

I was just issued a 50% rent increase which took me by surprise after only three months. I have left a few messages with the office and have yet to receive a return phone call. I just wanted to know what warranted such an abrupt and large price increase. Going back now I see there have been a few who have experienced the same. I think it's standard practice, they just don't broadcast it. It feels a bit like bait and switch. If someone would have called me back to at least explain, I don't think it would have bothered me as much. Extra Space is a real estate investment company and I imagine the staff onsite are just following protocol. Update------------ The rates here are competitive to other storage facilities. Our unit is super clean and easily accessible. The reason I am updating my review is because of an incident that had occurred with my unit. Without going into detail, I just wanted to say that the way the staff and extended personnel handled the situation was professional in the highest sense. They were accommodating and I was able to resolve very quickly. Highly recommend this facility for storage. Seriously... 5 Stars

This might have been my fault but when I first signed up I was unaware of the "promotional rate" so I was unpleasantly surprised when I received the first increase. The rep did offer some sort of discount but sure enough 3 months later my rate went up another $100 dollars. What rubs me the wrong way is that there is no transparency. No warning , no notice email they just go ahead & take it. Sure I could call again and try to negotiate but it just all seems kind of shady. Plus I don't wanna have to catch my payment every month before it goes through just to make sure this business doesn't continue to do ridiculous increases. I get that places need to follow "market rate" but again just be transparent & clear with your customers from the beginning. I also find it kind of surprising that within a few months the customer "demand" is SO HIGH that it requires this type of increase(I've NEVER seen this place busy) Sure the facility was nice but not impressive enough to deal with unethical price increases. But no worries just venting, I have scheduled my move-out :)

This was my…read morefirst experience using one of these facilities, and while there are pros & cons to the experience, I would say it checked off the boxes that mattered most to me. *Property was safe, never broken into, and easily accessible. *They have a large parking lot in front which made for easy drop offs & pick ups. *Bathroom available for guests on site *Dollys are available but limited in quantity. You also have to leave off your ID in exchange for one. I often bypassed this by just bringing my own. *Elevator accessibility, and doesn't time out after a few seconds. *Great experience with Jocelyn, and staff. She was forthcoming, accommodating, and never made me feel like just another number. She didn't rush me, and answered all of my questions. I appreciated her honesty, and genuine character. Since then I've also had experience with another storage company and what I've learned is that staff is going to be limited at these sites period. They often have to multi-task, wear many hats, and that will often pull them from one side of these giant properties back to the other. It's really not their fault that they can't just be present at the desk 24/7. It's really on the company for not wanting to hire additional staff to take care of these other janitorial, and on site mishaps. I've also learned that parking in front of the building is a luxury, not a requirement. Also having access to a bathroom. That being said, I would absolutely rent from Public Storage again. My only complaint was that they wouldn't honor a coupon that had expired just 12 hours earlier for their winter deal. Unfortunately promotions and general customer service is handled by an outside rep. Aside from that, my experience was very good.
