However, my experience with YSP has been an exception to the latter. Ever since the first phone call when I set up my first two units with YSP, the staff has been exceptional in their help, advice and flexibility. I am now renting unit number five from them in my preparation to move abroad once again. They have always acted in ways that serve my best interests rather than only being concerned with their own needs as I have found other storage facilities often do. They are willing to go the extra mile to insure I want to use continue to use their facility. In my history with other storage facilities, the reverse of this attitude has often been my experience with the facility operators usually threatening the fact that they have waiting lists, yada, yada, yada. Almost forgot to mention that payments are done online and are easy to make. You really won't regret using Your Storage Place. Elray and Bill are tops in customer service and satisfaction. I can't access it, don't know where my items are, and because it's after hours, I cannot get hold of the store manager. I called the 1-800 number, and they also cannot assist me. No one has any answers. I did not receive a call or a text, and not even an email stating my items were being moved, damaged, or that there was a concern about my unit. Cubesmart, you're completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and disorganized. My experience with Cubesmart is the antithesis of award-winning as their marketing states, and far from good customer service. It's 8:50 pm as I am writing this, and I guess I have to wait until tomorrow morning to see if my items have been lost, stolen, or otherwise. This is not how you treat new paying customers. I will be reporting this experience to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) because this is unacceptable to have no answers and no access to your items when you've paid for your storage unit. They both deserve to be recognized and a raise. The other employees weren't great and dropped the ball many times. I had two major issues and it took way longer to get it resolved because most of the employees at this location couldn't care less about good customer service. Corina was the only employee to call me after hearing my messages about getting my lock cut and replaced. Deanna was very helpful when it came to finding the extra key to the new lock and helped me with general information. I had an appointment to come during my lunch to get my key to my new lock. I showed up and I was greeted with a locked door. There wasn't a single employee in sight. They wasted my time and I definitely have a big problem with that. When I get my stuff out, I'll never store anything at any Public Storage for the rest of my life. I would never recommend storing anything at Public Storage if good customer service matters to you. The units are actually smaller in my experience. I actually ended up measuring a few units after already being charged for the unit and signing the contract. Once I measured about 4 of them after already being charged and signing a contract for the unit it became apparent that the units are actually 9 x 14 size units not as they advertised for a 10 x 15. The only reason we got the unit was for the advertised size and well unfortunately it is falsely advertised. It's unfortunate that we had already signed the contract and paid for the unit because we really needed all the square footage that was advertised on their website for the unit. Any ways just thought that everyone should know about this discrepancy before committing to a contract so you can actually get the size you truly need. Make sure to have your measuring tapes ready to measure before hand unlike us.
