I had a whole car load of stuff on the cart and I called support for help and spoke to Walter and he smugly told me that this happens all the time and I should have done this before 8 PM. The crazy part is the door used to not even lock and you could access it at any time of day so how bizarre of me to think that I could still get in after 8 PM when I previously have been able to. Walter then went on about how this happens all the time and there's nothing that he can do and I posed the question to him of what if my unit is open or what if I left my car keys in there and wasn't able to leave or even what if I left my phone in there there? What in the false imprisonment. To that Walter said you could come back at 6 AM and your code would work. You would think with the remodel that just happened when life storage became extra space, that they could also afford have security or to remotely access the lock devices on the doors. I also told Walter that I was in possession of the company push cart with all of my stuff on it and he told me to make sure that I left it somewhere safe are you joking? That's your concern? I then asked to speak to a supervisor because of Walter's decorum and he let me know that someone would call me back in 48 hours. Highly doubt I'll get a call. Walter also thanked me for being a customer since 2020 at and again told me I can come back at 6 AM. I have work at 6 AM Walter! Okay and not to mention that this place also has a rat problem. Then there's the intermittent access challenges. Initially offering 24-hour access in 2022, the facility now restricts hours to 9AM-6PM, closed Sunday & Wednesday. Hours differ for autopay users. They misadvertise 24/7 access when in reality it's only 9am-6pm unless you sign up for autopay, which still only gets you access until 9pm. Their gate is constantly broken, so you end up using one gate to enter and exit, which is frustrating and feels unsafe. We also had rodent damage that cost thousands, but their insurance only reimbursed $400 per claim no matter the loss. And despite promising to keep rates low because of the issues they caused, they still tripled the price within a year. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place at all. STAY AWAY!!!
