1 star. I don't write negative reviews. Ever. But Coast 2 Coast Relocation is committing fraud and people deserve to know. After problems started I contacted the FMCSA. They told me Coast 2 Coast had 12 complaints in 2026 alone by June and are actively investigating. Coast 2 Coast Relocation, Long Beach CA, DOT# 4285282. Binding estimate $3,450. Once our stuff was on the truck they handed us a bill for $6,140. Crew had no uniforms and smelled strongly of weed the entire day. By the end they were throwing things into boxes. Our stuff sat in a warehouse for two weeks with no updates. Empty DC apartment. Nothing. Delivery confirmed for 8am June 5. Driver didn't show. We had prepaid $350 for our building elevator. Gone. He showed up hours later demanding $1,973 cash only. Their own rep had confirmed $1,036.10 by Zelle four days earlier. He added a shuttle fee for an address on file for 45 days and double-billed the elevator fee already in our signed estimate, listed as two different amounts across documents. The situation felt unsafe enough that I called the police to report what was happening and for my own safety. They did not come but my building manager ended up escorting me through the entire drop off process. Customer service manager Jill Rodriguez promised to follow up on our billing dispute. Never did. Ignored three attempts to reach her. Then sent a boilerplate email threatening storage fees and redelivery charges when we never refused delivery. When we kept pushing she tried to gaslight us by calling our billing dispute a damage claim so she could block it under a one claim per move rule. Two completely separate things. Sales rep Melanie deliberately misled us about the delivery timeline to close the sale. Told us in writing they run a tighter timeframe than competitors and confirmed our pickup dates would get us delivery by our target date. Then hid behind a 0-21 business day fine print clause when none of it happened. Two ceramic planters broken. Glass fixture shattered. Jewelry missing after delivery. Escalated to CEO and corporate officer. Neither responded. Filing with FMCSA and BBB. Total in dispute: $3,636.90. Do not use this company. read more

The movers from CA seemed great, but between CA and KS they used every box marked fragile as a soccer ball. I lost sentimental heirlooms, my tv, my microwave, a plant stand, a metal bed frame, toaster, and on and on. I also felt like they quoted one thing and charged another because I had 'more items' than the original quote, which I challenged. Make sure you are very clear about the date you want it. I told them when I was moving in and they said 4-10 days, I didn't realize that it was FROM that date, not around that date. The movers here in KS were nice and helped remove moving material and tried to set up the bed but the frame! was broken. It was one thing after another that items unpacked were broken. I've moved from South Carolina to CA, CA to North Carolina, North Carolina to WA and in all of THOSE moves, I had ~2~ broken items. This move cost me more in both not following the quote to all of the items I had to replace. Try another moving company. read more

I was initially in communication with Joseph who warned me about scammers, but it seems as though they may be the ones doing the scamming. My property was picked up from my previous apartment July 11th and had to pay more because they didn't have an accurate depiction of what was being picked up. They said it would be anywhere from 0-21 days for delivery, which is a huge time period already, but I was pressed for time and money since I was starting my new job across the county. I informed them I would have to reserve the freight elevator and loading dock and would do so for July 18th. Later I found out it would be 0-21 days from "first available delivery date" since I told them the 18th, it would be 0-21 days after that? I reached out and was being texted by Erica, on July 25th and then again on July 5th, at which point she informed me that my property was loaded and leaving California. Today is August 11th and I'm being told since they took my belongings from a regular sized truck and transferred them to an 18-wheeler, the new truck MAY not be able to park in the area and would require me to pay to have it shuttled. Just do it yourself, or go with someone you can trust. read more

I don't usually write reviews but this company warrents one. Don't use them, Horrible service! Communications is terrible, my agreed upon pickup and delivery dates were not respected. They are not honest in their communications and set up false expectations, then blame you for it. Customer service is very dismissive. They probably won't pick up your calls in the first place. They will also upcharge you a significant amount. read more

Do Not Use them for moving across country. I moved from LA to NY. Had to pay extra for them to move my peloton for only to have them loose the peloton screen. I also did not have very much stuff to move and most of my boxes were squished after receiving only a month later read more

They broke all my tvs and our bbq we had just got before the move from California to Tennessee and my daughters bed and only offered us $80 to fix it after making us jump through hoops on this bs claims site that is a joke. As of now we still didn't get any money back. And we had sold almost all our furniture and they told us that we would have money on the move due to the fact we sold it and there would be more space on the truck. Well they laid and said we had the same cf as before. And when they got to Tennessee they posted a ad on Craigslist asking for guys to help us move in with our address on there..... after they told us "we have our own guys that are in different states " this company is horri read more

Coast 2 Coast handled everything with care, and they didn't rush through the job, They did a phenomenal job moving my items, and reasonably priced. Herbert is the man! thanks for everything, would use coast 2 coast again read more

Stay away from this business. Things will stop being fine after your stuff is picked up for the move. Our furniture arrived broken. Of course no refunds. Their third party contractors weren't ready to unpack and reassemble our furniture. They reluctantly assembled it, and in a bad way, after I refused to sign on the papers. Waste of time, money and a massive headache. Stay away. read more

I don't often write reviews for things unless something pretty major occurs that I want to educate others about so that they don't suffer the same things I did. That said, lets begin. I was moving from Los Angeles to Florida. My initial experience with Coast 2 Coast Relocation was a positive one. From setting up the moving date, to the assisted packing and loading. The movers were fast, efficient and extra careful. This is where the positive part ends. The first and most important thing you should do is get the full insurance package if you plan to use them. I was under the impression that after everything was packed up on the truck and I had verified everything was safely in place, it would be in transit to its destination right away. The reality was; it was taken to a location, offloaded onto an 18 wheeler along with multiple other people's things. While I get it, saving money by adding multiple clients to one truck is all business, what was bad about my experience was; They did not take care of the positioning of the fragile items in the least. Upon arrival, there were an extra problems which would have been solved by informing me that there would be an 18 wheeler needing to somehow access a small driveway. Because of this, they could not unload at the location. I had to rent a Uhaul to offload everything into from the truck to take to the location and the movers had to help offload it again. Because of this, all of the moving blankets had to be kept to avoid damage and I was in turn charged 100 dollars per blanket. When unloading from the 18 wheeler I found that the TV and computer monitors valued ad over $4,000 total were at the bottom of the pile of shipped objects and as you might expect from that were completely destroyed. Many of our boxes labeled "Fragile" were torn and crushed as well. Thankfully we packed them ourselves and the padding we added saved the majority of the items. Because I only got the basic insurance, when I went through the settlement department I was given 80 dollars. As for the estimated costs, the initial estimate was given based on what I had packed, which were about 30 boxes. They told me it would be about 4500. When the movers got there, their idea of boxes were itemized a bit differently. They counted some objects as multiple and the total box count ended up being 100ish. The price in the end was closer to 7000, which was fine since many other movers priced me at roughly the same. So there you have it, that's my experience. My simplified takes: 1.) Get the best insurance, they are not careful with your items. 2.) Make sure you have a backup, in case they cannot deliver to your agreed upon location. I hope this can help you better prepare, should you wish to use Coast 2 Coast Relocation. read more

After reading the other reviews this may be repetitive but hopefully helpful. First, I moved from WI to CA in 2021 and used Colonial Van Lines. It was a great, trustworthy experience and I should've used them again. As I searched for movers to come back to WI I called around and Coast 2 Coast was the best price. I should've known. Joseph was very friendly and like other reviewers talked to me about being ripped off and so on. They price based on space not weight and my initial quote was 800cubic ft after going through my inventory and current square footage and paid a deposit with CC. Also, I wanted my stuff to arrive on 8/22 and he said that should be fine. I received a call/email that the movers would arrive on 8/14 as planned and that was probably the only reliable thing about the whole move. When the movers arrived we walked around and he gave me a new estimate of double the original cost. He then looked at me and said I can take the original estimate of 800cubic ft and you'll have to figure out what to do with the rest of your stuff or I can take it all and you need to pay cash now. As I needed my stuff I told him I to take it all and had to pay cash for pick up. At this point I had planned to fly from CA to WI to get my stuff unloaded on 8/22 (I understood it that my stuff would arrive that day) and return to CA on 8/27. I take responsibility for not re-reading the original email from Erica that says it's estimated and can range from 0-21 days. On 8/24 I received a text saying my stuff just left CA. I texted back on 8/25 asking for an ETA so I could adjust my travel and work. No response. I called twice with no answer. On 8/26 I called again with no response. Then I got a text saying "Hey Lea. I am in a meeting and unable to answer. I can give you a call back shortly". Which let me know they saw me calling, but were not responding. I then talked to the office and explained my situation and she said she would check in with the drivers to get an ETA. Later that day I texted asking if they would be getting back to me with no response. I texted again 8/27 asking for an update. Finally got a response that the delivery is in the hands of the driver and she reached out to her manager. I want to emphasize that providing a response even if it isn't the most helpful is more appreciated than silence. I flew back to CA on 8/27 with the holiday weekend I thought they wouldn't deliver until after 9/2. Then on 8/29 the driver called and said that he would be arriving 8/30 or 8/31 based on if he could fit the semi in my driveway. I texted a map view and got a response that the truck may not fit but he will see when he arrives. Because I couldn't get a direct answer I flew overnight back to WI. They arrived on Saturday around 1630 and he told me he would've been here two days earlier but he was re-routed by the company (not helpful and infuriating). They were able to unload the semi, but refused to take the garbage, didn't unwrap everything, and I had to ask for stuff to be put together. Also, the tape that they used was terrible. Sticks to your belongings, is hard to get off, and leaves residue. Overall, If you chose to use this company make sure to read all your documents carefully and be prepared for bad communication. My only positive is that all my stuff arrived unscathed. Be cognizant of extra fees for elevator, stairs, long-carry, or shuttle service. Cash only payments at pick up and drop off. read more

I should have checked their rating before I hired them! Lesson learned. They talked me out of getting insurance on my goods. Told me anything they did they would take care of. Even "driving off a cliff; they'd pay for everything." All this was verbal, of course. They caused $650 damage to a pre-civil war bed that had been moved 6 times and in four states without a scratch. They did not follow my instructions for taking it apart. They broke all the trim off another antique plant stand about 100 years old and solid! They also put dents and scratches in several pieces of furniture. Dented a stainless steel trash can and completely crushed a well-packed nearly new air-fryer. They offered me $125 to cover everything. In my personal opinion they are the worst. I did not accept their $125, contested it, still lost saying I should have bought the insurance. Lesson learned! Don't be their next victim. The bed has been fixed as well as it can be by an antique restoration company so I don't have a good picture of the break. But it was a 21st birthday gift from my parents (I'm now 79) and it broke my heart to see it so badly broken. read more
