To start, I didn't use this company to move. I decided to go with a different company with better pricing. However, since choosing a different company I have received several threatening calls and texts from Doug. He states my company is a broker and sold my move to them (they did not of this I am confident), and that Ill be lucky if my stuff doesnt all end up in a pawn shop. He also stated that I better not threaten him because he is completely in charge of my move and by being "rude" to him I was putting my move at risk. I told him I don't accept the way he is speaking to me and he said he was only being honest. I felt threatened and freaked out. ***Do not use this company*** Started out with initial quote with "Doug" claiming to be a manager and trying to sell BS. Saying he was a Navy Seal and pompously telling me his bs stories in order to impress me. Dude was completely full of himself and very egotistical. Real service men don't talk about themselves the way he did and I should have listened to the red flag. He barely let me talk or ask questions and went on repeating hes a bonafide agent and no one beats their prices, repeating they are not brokers. However, they act as brokers. Doug was very rude, vulgar, and unprofessional. Then on pick up day, they don't tell you about the bulk item fee of $600. They don't tell you this prior even though my bulk items were listed and itemized. In addition, they charge you a $750 packing fee if "everything" is not in a box and I mean everything. You can tell these fees are for the movers and not the company. Once packed and taken to a warehouse in a box truck, my​ property was stored in a temporary location until delivery (I had airtag locators in my boxes). Then reloaded on an 18 wheeler truck for transport. I moved from California to Texas. Once picked up by an 18 wheeler truck, it was delivered to my location. The delivery movers try to obtain more money by saying they couldn't park the 18 wheeler on the street and needed to be repacked in a box truck for an additional $1500. After agreement, they abided and charged me an additional $75 for an extra walk to my front door from the end of my driveway. The moving teams are kind and respectful but seriously attempt to extort you out of your money because you have no choice to receive your property and already paid 60% at pick-up up and 40% at drop off. It should be criminal. In addition, when arriving, my property boxes were destroyed. Here's a list: Broken newer TV, antique desk, a full box of dishware, damaged/dented brand new refrigerator, decor damaged, horrible communication, couldn't get a hold of anyone at their phone number provided, can't get a hold of Claims after leaving numerous messages and emails, without a single response. I cannot express to NOT USE THIS COMPANY by any means. I ended up with paying $1400 on top of the initial "binding not-to-exceed" agreement. Plus over $2000 in damaged property. The "small print" has so many loop holes and is all BS to the fullest. I'm sure the company won't care as they got my money. read more

They lied about the size truck we were paying for, couldn't keep communications, always arguing with me, and kept my stuff longer than expected. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! It took about a week and a half to get our stuff. I guess I should be thankful contractually they are allowed 14 days, it still sucked living like a squatter and eating out every day for every meal. They stuffed a bunch of stuff in the cedar chest including some framed artwork and it looks like they drug it here behind the truck (see photos). Many boxes marked fragile are crushed severely. The only reason they get 2 stars is that the "crew" that showed up, a young man and his wife who couldn't have been much more than 200lbs combined did a great job bringing our stuff in and setting up the beds. Oh yeah the price quoted, around 4000.00 doubled to 8000.00 in the day of pick up. Apparently there's a guy in Sacramento who is legit. These people are so dishonest, will not call you back, will raise the prices and hold your items hostage. My items finally arrived, almost all of my big furniture has broken legs, many items distroyed, dented and must be thrown away. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT YOUR BELONGINGS TO ARRIVE undamaged/destroyed. As others have documented, First Class movers does not care about you or your property. Once they have your money no one will speak to you or respond to texts. EVERY piece of our furniture was severely damaged. All of the furniture and several boxes were soaking wet. The furniture was growing mold and disintegrating due to sitting in water. Several boxes were so wet that they literally were falling apart. When I reached out to the owner Doug, it took 4 calls and a few texts before he responded 'contact customer service'. No one in customer service (Elizabeth) returned any of our calls. She did send a claim form. The damage to my property is clearly from being stored in a wet building/storage locker while waiting to be loaded on the truck. Would not recommend this company to anybody!!! My first time hiring movers without doing everything myself and it was the biggest headache of my life because of these unprofessional people. My stuff was picked up from Texas on April 7th and I didn't receive it at my new location in Florida until April 24th.They originally told me it would arrive the same day I was moving to Florida . The Booking process was quite smooth and I received a great quote , I confirmed with Madison who works at new start relocation that I . Would not be charged for a mattress cover or for adding 10 medium sized boxes. she ensured me this would all be covered in my quoted price . She even said I could add up to 14 boxes and the price would remain the exact same . When the movers got to my house the day of the move after finishing up loading up my stuff in their truck they came back into my apartment with their price sheet and said that they have to charge me for the additional boxes plus the mattress cover and the fact I had 4 more boxes then I originally was quoted for . Now my price jumped up $900 more than my original price . They also said before hand I could pay the remaining due balance at delivery but all of the sudden they were expecting 60 percent of fees at pickup when I already paid my deposit at booking and we agreed that I was paying my balance at delivery. They said if I didn't pay now they would have to leave now and would not move my stuff . I was left without a choice but to pay. Nothing that we agreed upon stayed the same and they charged me nearly $900 more than I was quoted from the beginning. My stuff finally arrived after 2 weeks, the truck driver guy would not bring his 18 wheeler in my complex when the leasing center told me it would fit the guy simply said no and that I have to pay $450 fee for a shuttle service. Instead I rented my own uhaul and had to hire someone to help me transfer all of my stuff from the 18 wheeler to the uhaul and transport it into my home because the truck driver would not help. Costing me another $400. After unboxing my items , I realized my TV screen was shattered , alot of my items were destroyed my white bed had black dirt on it from the move, and I was missing boxes and also received another person items. Contacted the company multiple times and didn't receive a response from anyone . I would not recommend these people to anyone looking for a smooth move . Very unfortunate unprofessional and made my move alot more stressful then it needed to be. They act like they will work with you and give you a great deal in beginning but then they do the exact opposite in the end . This company has multiple "locations". So I'm posting this here too. If I could give this company no stars like others on here I would. It felt like a bate and switch. Once they got my deposit money, all of a sudden I couldn't contact anyone except the GM who was extremely inappropriate, rude, and manipulative. Tried to threaten to cancel my contract, cut me off when I was trying to explain my situation, and accused me of trying to lower my rate if I moved my date. I originally called to ask if I needed to change the date does the price change (thinking if it was more expensive, I'd just keep my day). I was then told I needed to calm down multiple even though my tone was completely calm the entire conversation. Continued threats of canceling my contract and accusing me of "you need to calm down or I'm going to cancel your contract." After I said calmly "you've been extremely rude and you can cancel my contract and give me my money back" I then hung up the phone. I proceeded to get text messages of legal jargon like other people have in the reviews here on Yelp of the exact same threats of being taken to court and to call back immediately. Fortunately, this immediately threw up my scam alert and I have not contacted them since and I have gone through my bank to get my money back. I do not recommend utilizing this company. read more

This was the worst experience imaginable. The quote we received and the front end customer service made us feel like we were picking a solid moving company. However, the day of, the movers told us it would cost double what we were quoted, charged us a long carry fee even though I'd specifically confirmed it would not be charged based on where the elevator was in our apartment building. Our things were loaded into a warehouse, then moved again into an 18 wheeler truck and brought up to our new town, only for them to tell us we had to pay another $900+ for a shuttle to transport our things to our street, and then on top of that, many boxes of important things were missing, living room items and my daughters mattress. It was a nightmare. They did not unload a single item until we had paid everything in full - totally shady. When my husband called to express frustration, the foreman cussed him out, threatened him for complaining and said he was going to sue us and that he would make us pay. He said we had poked the bear and that we'd get the teeth and that we'd regret the day we dared to mess with him. It was ridiculous. Steer clear. Do anything else. Get a shipping container, do it yourself with uhauls and a Lugg team. Never hire this company. read more

Bait and Switch is their specialty. After giving them a deposit I had to wait an additional month to get my move scheduled because they needed to book other jobs coming my way. This was after they picked my furniture up. The delivery guy was to deliver 12-22. He finally delivered 9pm on Christmas Eve!! He threaten to leave my furniture at a truck stop if I didn't pay $700 for a uhual because he didn't want to bring 18 wheeler- even though there was ample space for his truck. He delivered tov4 houses on Xmas eve and charged each of us 700 for the same U-Haul. The U-Haul was a 15ft - they go for 129.00 at U-Haul. 6 pcs didn't make it. An antique buffet owned by my dad, never made it. The damage to major pieces was extensive. I've moved 6 times ( because of work) this was the worst. The guy was Russian and was smoking in the truck around my furniture and was very mean. I wound up paying $1200.00 more than expected. read more

I'm a disabled Veteran and it really hurts me alot to know that I went and fought in Desert storm for the owners of this company, The owner also call me a Cocksucker and then hung up on me. I was just trying to find out where all my stuff was. This truly is an absolute nightmare. Before they even left my house with my stuff they ruined my stainlesss steel Barbeque by dropping it off the truck on it's top and smashing it. There's the first $500. Then they stored my stuff for me and in the process have lost my 60" Vizio TV $1k, a 55" Samsung Tv $750, Lost a Kobalt Master Mechanic's tool set $10k, my Living room couch $800, an Emril Lagasse gourment cooking machine $350. They also Broke a Book case, Bent a File cabinet all to hell, and ruined a $3500.00 Temperpedic Mattress. The Mattress looks like it's been drug thru the mud.They couldn't have done a better job of ruining this stuff then if they had dropped it off at the San Francisco Zoo's Gorilla's Exhibit. Owner called me to give me a quote. He was a super hard sell (to the point that I actually thought he was a scammer), and when I thanked him for his information he pressured me even more. Time share sales people have nothing on him. When I wanted to politely hang up he started yelling at me and berating me instead. I still wanted to hang up politely instead of just hanging up the phone so I told him that I am getting uncomfortable with him yelling at me, and he said I'm only uncomfortable because I'm being scammed by other people - other companies are all scammers, they are the only legit company around. When he was done yelling at me, he hung up. He really sounded like a scam artist, calling other companies scammers. I still don't know what to make of it. read more

Being in the military I move quite often and seen the best and the worst when it comes to moving companies, but I had an Awesome experience with this company..professional individuals that introduced themselves and got to work ASAP! scheduled a light move that's less than 2 hours (140$)..fellas work fast and efficient. I needed a few major items (Washer,dryer,mattress) moved to the second floor of my new home and these guys moved the items carefully, making sure they don't damage the home or any of the appliances.. Delayed Jan 27th shipment from Fremont, CA to Woodbury, MN until April 7th, and finally delivered damaged contents after our filing with the DOT. Lots of contents damage as well. Sham company, and their contract required arbitration company csipros.org out of Coral Springs Florida only stalled and requested repeated copies of documents before bailing out altogether. Avoid at all costs. Read their contract carefully, and choose ANYONE else. read more

**UPDATE** I am finding more and more stuff they had broken the more I unpack the more I find they didn't know what they were doing in loading a truck. These guys are a pure scam. Ignore the good ratings. They are fake. This company has no insurance so if they break stuff (and they will) you are out of luck. Wow did things change. They were so nice loading the truck. Little did I know they skipped some major paperwork. That way if they damage something you are screwed. They lied to me at first about the price. The "owner (so he claimed. I don't think he was), who showed up and told me to ONLY buy straps I did that. When he got to the storage area to load the truck. He started right away. He didn't have me sign any paperwork. That way if he scratches or breaks anything he can say ohh well. MAKE SURE YOUR MOVERS HAVE INSURANCE AND MAKE YOU SIGN TO PRIVE THEY HAVE IT. Once I got to my destination I had another bunch of mover from another company. Wow night and day. Before they started they had me sign paperwork proving they had insurance and such. Once they opened the truck they asked who loaded this. I told them SACRAMENTO movers. He told me they had no idea on what they were doing. Said it was packed wrong, not enough straps were used or correctly, and no blankets. After they started unloading they started finding issues because it was not packed right (see pics) there was also items that were crushed. . After everything was unloaded I txted who I was told was the owner. He wouldn't answer that question. He said he was in New York and wouldn't be back until next Wednesday but said his guys did the packing right. He acted like he was the owner. We have broken items due to their shitty packing and they don't care. Save your money and go elsewhere. Now I know they are going to say you were happy when it was loaded. I might have been because at the time I thought everything was packed right. I was wrong. They are going to say no blankets. The movers who one of them claimed to be the owner said we didn't need them. Just stay away. read more

When we tried to reach the company, they never picked up the phone and then they turned off their phone and our calls went straight to voicemail. Beware of the company. Not sure what happened here. We arranged to have them come and move and it was supposed to set for 1 pm. Then I get a call saying it had to be at 9 am. The problem was they didn't have a truck so I had to provide one, and switching was a pain. The real kicker, and the reason for the one star is the fact they didn't show up. We seriously waited 2 hours with no response. I would think, if there was a problem, they would have the decency to let me know there was a problem so I could move on. No call, ever. These guys are super fast and efficient. A job I expected to take 3 hours took them less than an hour and that included the drive from storage unit to the house. I love these guys. These guys came in and helped us move a heavy double sink marble top vanity to upstairs bathroom. That thing was HEAVY! My husband and a friend had tried to move it but it was too heavy to move upstairs. First Class Movers came in and took great care to not scratch our hardwood floors, took care to not bang around walls or break / scratch the vanity. Another moving company left us in the lurch three days before we had to move from our old house to our new house so I called First Class Movers and they were able to fit me in for a Saturday morning move when no one else could. Tyree and Levar arrived with the truck as promised and immediately began the moving process. Tyree and Levar were extremely professional and treated our items with the utmost care as if the items were their own. They were very efficient and professional and were able to load and unload our house in the time they said they would. Bottom line: First Class Movers did what they said they would do, were careful with all of our stuff (and our walls), and were very affordable. Our new neighbors were so impressed that they even took a business card to help them with their move as well. 10/10 would use them again! read more

This company is a joke. Even though we arranged an 8am start time, the details of my move were not communicated with the moving team. I was not able to get in contact with anyone until 915 when the owner said "there was a miscommunication, they will be there or call any minute". He refused to answer my calls saying that he was unavailable, even when no one had arrived 30 minutes later. The owner then proceeded to turn his phone off and send me straight to voicemail, never once apologizing for his massive error. The team finally arrived at 10am and offered a genuine apology. The problem was I needed the move done by noon and I scheduled 3 hours of help (which is exactly why I scheduled it for 8am). The guys said no problem, they would get it done. They did and they themselves were fantastic and professional throughout the move. They also stated they would tell the owner to refund me that 3rd hour as it was their error for being 2 hours late. Now, if they arrived on time and finished in 2 hours, I gladly would have paid for the full 3. After hearing nothing, i reached out to the owner asking for the 3rd hour to be refunded, at which point he told me he was "dealing with serious depression and made a mistake, sorry". He then had his cousin (apparently another owner) call me to discuss the refund of the last hour. After initially agreeing to give me the money back (and trying to lay on a thick guilt trip by saying I was taking money out of the pocket of my moving team), he then proceeded to curse me out, call me a scam artist, place the blame on others and tell me that apparently I don't understand the English language... If anyone is a scam artist here, it is this company. They do not believe is offering anything resembling decent customer service. If you manage to make it through without any scheduling issues, the moving teams are great and understand how to provide great customer experience. If you are unlucky enough to have an issue, don't expect it resolved by the owners. Judging by their previous replies to negative reviews, they are likely to reply back placing the blame on me. I've been in customer service for 20 years and would never speak to a paying customer the way these people spoke to me. At the end of the day, a genuine apology and a refund for the errors you knowingly made go a long way. You guys screwed up, man up, apologize and do the right thing by your customer. Turning a negative experience around with a genuine apology and effort to rectify the situation will go a long way in changing your customer's perception of the whole experience. Had they just been able to own it and do the right thing, I would never need to write this as mistakes do happen. Dodging your customer's calls and blaming them for your errors are not the way to make up. Raymond and Brian were skilled, professional, friendly, and punctual. They were in communication with us to let us know they were on their way and immediately started to work once they arrived. They worked quickly but carefully and consulted with us as needed. In addition, they were warm and were able to make a stressful day more light and enjoyable. They were also very flexible and willing to accommodate additional tasks and requests that we had. Even though they had to come all the way to the sticks in Amador, there were no hidden fees. We were charged the reasonable hourly rate that was advertised. I can't imagine having done this without them and would highly recommend and use them again! Very hard workers and friendly towards my family throughout. Handled all of our very heavy items with care and plastic wrapped items we didn't even care about. They were honest about not having enough time for all of our stuff and offered to return the next day. Only critique is that they used our blankets to wrap furniture instead of bringing their own moving blankets, and used our tape. Otherwise would have given them five stars. read more

Arrived right on time and completed the load under the time needed. However I wish they had went a little slower with some of the bigger items. They damaged our box springs pretty bad and scuffed up some of the other furniture because of how fast they were trying to go. They packed our items very well in the truck and were pretty good at not smashing anything. As some of the other reviews mention they answer there phones quite often and take breaks to do so in some cases (in which I'm not sure if they count as part of their time moving our items, but it seems like they were). I'd be hesitant to recommend them to someone who has a lot of furniture/delicate items, most of our move was just boxes and they did a good job moving those. read more
