I've hired movers for every move I've had, and I have never had a worse experience than dealing with this company. We paid for 2 hours full service moving as well as the delivery and load for the container. That's what they charged us for, so we paid for that service. They showed up several hours late, at about 3:20, and because they had to bring the container back by five they left at 4:45. They immediately got into an argument with us and said they weren't going to take apart the furniture, despite one of the guys saying he heard his boss confirm they would do that for us. One of the guys was so angry about it he literally threw one of our lava lamps while packing it (it did not break). They also completely ignored our packing instructions and left a ton of stuff behind, while also packing things we didn't actually want. They were so eager to just get out of there that they packed everything horribly and admitted that a bunch of stuff would likely break in moving. The worse part was that they basically forced us to let them leave while there was still room in the container, without all of our stuff, because they had to bring the container back by five (something they had never told us). So we have empty room in this container but are paying fedex to ship things out. All of this because they were running late and couldn't actually give us the time we paid for. They still charged us for the full amount though. Update: I got a call today about this review, and the owner of this company offered me one hour back for my trouble but only if I removed this review. I told him that wasn't really reasonable, and he completely flipped out- started swearing, calling me names, and even making veiled threats about how it's good I already moved. This company is run by a con artist who will literally threaten you if you don't make his company look good. If you have a problem he will scream at you about how he's been in the business for ten years and he doesn't care about anything because he owns his own business. Do not let this person anywhere near you unless you're prepared for him to escalate any issue with threats of violence (or worse). read more

waited a year to post this out of safety. I'm still shaken up by the mover. the experience was awful. four guys showed up, some in slippers. no dollys, no professional gear. they did good work moving our things on to the fourth floor but were not friendly and a little untrustworthy. the worst part, they bully you into leaving them a five star review on the uhaul website so they show up in the first page. I don't normally do this and with it being almost a year after my experience with "Elite Movers" but every night since I moved I have to look at a damaged coffee table that was hidden (the movers put something on top of table and never mentioned it) I did not see it until they were long gone. Additionally, I'm missing an antique BB Gun, it never made it to my new residence. I'm probably missing more items but have not had a chance to really investigate my garage. Last, I felt pressured to complete their U-Haul rating so they could get more opportunities to get moving jobs. He literally sat at my counter and watched me complete it and told me to mark all exceeding rates. I gave them one star because they did show up on a last minute request. Elite Movers exceeded all of my expectations. Eric, Tyler, and Jake helped load a 20' box truck and haul everything to my new home 30 miles away. They disassembled/reassembled furniture, packed everything safely, and even did light cleaning! On top of that all three had great attitudes, took directions well, and were easy to work with. I'll let the texts speak for themselves but in addition, I want to tell you about items that didn't ever make it to the move. A huge huge wineglass like 4 feet tall, my pumpkin dishes, bowls and plates that haven't ever been used. And my daughters bag from her airlines by Zac Pozen celebrating their anniversary, which is sentient and irreplaceable. Still in the packaging, I was saving it for her so nothing would happen to it. It didn't make it with the move!!!I would give anything to have my items returned. I contacted Eric Duenas the owner of Elite Movers approximately one month prior to my move. We arranged a date and I informed him ahead of time of the moving truck size of 20' and size of my house. I explained that the majority 85% of my household was packed in boxes and bins in addition to our furniture. I requested that they pack our kitchen and hutch. I then contacted him two or three days prior to reconfirm. At that time he didn't ask any questions. I will admit that I made the mistake of not requesting he come out ahead of time to give a detailed quote. We we're scheduled for 10 AM on 4/29/19. They arrived approximately 15 minutes late. He showed up with two additional movers. So a three man crew. Charging $130 per hour. Initially, I was not worried because it was a three man crew and figured tops this could take six hours. Eric had me walk him through the house on what was to be loaded into the moving truck. However, his crew had already begun to load boxes/bins from our garage (not high priority items). After about four hours Eric came to me to ask what was a priority my reaction "everything I showed you". He explained we would need a bigger truck or trailer. We couldn't get a trailer large enough last minute so we got a larger truck; 26'. Again he was confident everything would fit. He said his crew would take lunch for an hour and then meet us at the rental site to transfer from one truck to the other. Once the transfer was completed we drove back to our house (approximately 30 minutes). Then they continued to load. At approximately 9:30 PM he informed me that my couch (6ft standard three cushion couch), recliner, and several bookcases would not fit. Also, they we're running on fumes and would have to come back the next day. This came as a shock to me since Marvin said they had been on other jobs as late as 1 AM. This was a problem because I had to be out of the house by 2:00 PM and my carpet cleaners were scheduled for 9 AM - 11 AM. He assured me that everything would be finished and off the carpets by the time the carpet cleaners showed up. I texted Eric at 8:30 AM and said we were expecting him. He then called and said he was running late he showed up at approximately 9:20 AM. This time it was just he and one additional mover (two man crew). Once they arrived one mover began to pack the hutch (finally) and Eric was loading. Eric then said he needed to leave because they didn't eat breakfast or have any beverages. Leaving me one packer/mover for approximately 20 minutes. He did offer to buy me a Clif bar. Yes, I took that offer. My move out inspection was scheduled for 2 PM. The inspector showed up at 1:34 PM. In the end it cost me $1,745 for 11 hours of packing and loading. I lost my couch, recliner, and bookcases. In addition I found it rather coincidental that a friend of his happened to be the person to pick up my recliner and couch. I also told them they could take ALL of our food pantry items. In contrast the unloaders in Arizona had not just the 26ft. moving truck to unload but also a a portion of a 20 ft. truck (about 15% full). It took them six hours at two different locations. A two man crew. They assembled two beds and put the furniture where I requested all within six hours for a total of $630. The only reason they didn't get zero stars is because they we're polite and did help move a refrigerator that I had given away (total of 15 minutes). read more

Eric and his team did a phenomenal job. They discussed all the logistical stuff before they began. They told us when the time had started. I have a piano and they wrapped it up very well. They took it downstairs, I lived in an apartment. The piano is still in great shape at my new location. They moved everything out of the apartment in 1.5 hours! My roommate and I had disassembled the beds beforehand for them which was a time saver for them. They get a haul and then refill the gas as well. So that gets all put into account when paying for it. Though with the amount of injuries I've had in the past it was just way easier having them do it. They're super professional and really cool guys! I would highly recommend them. We had a recent 3 bedroom/2 bath household & 10' x 10' storage unit move and rented a truck. The company we rented it from offered a list of several in-area movers to help load and unload for our move. Since it was the hot days of August (plus with all the smoke and ash still in the air from the California wildfires), we opted to use movers to help us. Eric and his helper Jake provided a competitive hourly quote. They offered packing and unpacking services too, which we didn't utilize since we could do that ourselves inside our air conditioned home. On the day of our move, they showed up on time, were very professional, had been careful with our belongings, and hustled out in the heat & smoke. Eric and Jake helped take what would have been a very stressful day for us and turned it into a manageable chore.
