As with any move, we took care ourselves to wrap things, communicate our needs and expectations, but I would do that with any mover. Ask questions, clarify and explain what you want. All furniture was wrapped carefully with moving blankets and secured and all breakables were treated with care. I've never seen a team of people work so hard!

What should have been a straightforward move from a 3-bedroom home took 13 hours, and they still couldn't finish--forcing them to come back the next morning, while I was under extreme pressure due to a pending home sale. With 18 hours to be out of my house, Zip used the situation to triple the price, leaving me completely cornered. At one point, the police showed up at my door to question one of the movers for 30 minutes. Later, they left a single worker alone for SIX HOURS to finish the job. Completely unprofessional and unsafe. Once my belongings were picked up, I received zero updates for six weeks. No proactive communication. No tracking. No accountability. I had to escalate through three different people just to get basic help or information. And when all was said and done, Zip did absolutely nothing to make it right--no refund, no meaningful apology, no remediation--other than claiming they fired the person who originally quoted me, which does nothing for the damage, stress, or financial harm they caused. This was easily one of the most stressful and mishandled service experiences I've ever had, at a time when reliability mattered most. FINALLY with our most recent move, I now know who to go to. Travelstead Transportation Group was an amazing choice and I highly recommend it to anyone that has the opportunity to choose a moving company. Starting with the coordinating over the phone, they were very professional with getting an estimate and scheduling a walkthrough to take a survey. Once we landed on a quote, the moving process was super seamless. The team showed up early and were ready to get started. Super professional and no surprises as they were very communicative with what they were doing, timelines, etc. They were even able to cut down some costs from the quote based on how they were able to consolidate some packing/supplies to not use as much (but without compromising safety of goods). After everything was said and done (finished with more than an hour to spare from the original quote), there were no damages and they assembled everything that they took apart. Don't get me wrong, the price tag is a bit high but with moving companies, you get what you pay for. I'd gladly pay that amount again for the level of service that was provided. Will definitely consider hiring again (hopefully I don't have to move again in the near future).

I made the mistake of returning my truck to another location. The manager at that location called…read moreme the next day to warn me and even offered to allow me to pick up the truck and return it to the original location to avoid a fine. However, I was called 5 minutes later and was told I was going to be punished for not taking it to the original location. I was then told my issue would be escalated, but it's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything from anyone. I've been using Uhaul since 2000. I understand I made a mistake. I was given a chance to correct this mistake. The person that charged me didn't even have the courage to call me, and used another manager to give me the bad news. I'm never giving Uhaul my business again.

He was able to quote and schedule the move quickly. Before they showed up we received a phone call 15 min prior to arriving. When they arrived they walked the path, making sure they knew their surroundings. It took 4 people at the store to load the treadmill, but only took 2 movers from Venable to handle the treadmill. Probably the best part was how respectful they were when inside our home. We highly recommend Venable for any moving needs you have, you won't be disappointed.
