Extremely Disappointing Experience with RA Movers -- Unprofessional and Unacceptable Service…read more Our experience with RA Movers was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this company based on the service and professionalism we received. To start, they left our 70-inch TV behind in their truck, and we were left trying to get answers about when our property would actually be delivered. Communication and accountability were frustrating from the beginning. Even more concerning was the behavior of the owner. During phone conversations with both my wife and me, the owner came across as condescending, confrontational, and seemingly intent on bullying rather than addressing our legitimate concerns professionally. Customers should never have to deal with that kind of attitude when simply asking a company to take responsibility for its mistakes. On top of everything else, RA Movers filmed videos for their own promotional content despite both my wife and me explicitly stating that we did not consent to being filmed for that purpose. Despite our clear objections, the videos were posted anyway. Disregarding customers' stated boundaries and then using that footage for promotional purposes is completely unacceptable. Mistakes can happen in any business, but how a company handles those mistakes says everything about its character. Forgetting a customer's property, treating customers disrespectfully when they raise concerns, and disregarding their objections to promotional filming demonstrate a serious lack of professionalism and accountability. Moving is already stressful enough without having to chase down missing belongings and deal with an owner who makes the situation worse instead of resolving it. I strongly recommend considering other moving companies. Based on our experience, RA Movers fell well short of the level of service, communication, respect, and accountability that customers should reasonably expect from a professional moving company.

We paid for the service and the insurance, yet all they do is ignore the delays, the broken items, and the damage they caused. We left voicemails, emailed multiple times, and submitted messages through the portal's help section, and still nothing. At this point, we need to escalate this because almost everything they moved or stored came back lost, broken, or damaged. We're not letting them get away with this.

Once from Boston to Northern New Jersey (Spring 2015) and then again from Northern NJ to Western Massachusetts (late Spring 2018). In both moves The Other Guys has been nothing but efficient, cost-effective, kind, helpful, caring, and flexible. Jane in the office rocks! Their email response time is second to none. Plus, she fields and fielded so many last moment changes in the move from Boston to NJ, she deserves a medal. I recently needed additional documentation to have my employer cove some costs and all materials were sent over immediately, even though my move was a while ago. In the most recent Northern NJ to Western MA, happened very fast and had a tight timeline. Julius and his team were able to help. I did not think they would even be interested in a move that required them to start in NJ, but thankfully, they were. Their quote was spot on and thorough, included toll estimates, mileage, materials, time, and more. Many other companies left out tolls and materials fees. Plus, it was much cheaper than some options in NJ (those NJ movers were BANANAS). They kept me updated the way down to NJ and throughout the drive north. When we got to the final destination in Western Mass, Julius made sure we saw the scratches on the hardwood, right under where we were placing our bed, left by previous tenants to ensure our landlord did not charge us. I have used their services back in 2013 for picking up and shredding documents. I had decided to…read moredrive up recently (within about 7days of the new year) and save some time and money. Here's the thing about old documents,like maybe some of you out there, I still had a lot left going back some 16 to 17 years. Now like a lot of people out there I have a shredder. Let's be honest though,how many of us (10 pages at a time) will actually shred such a big amount in a relatively short time? Raise your hand. (Pause). Yeah me neither. This is where neighborhood parcel comes into the picture. They are quick and efficient. If you take the drive up there my advice is to look for parking space 999( no not even making this up) as that is right in front of the building. They remembered me from a few years ago (hey I had a ton of old papers then). They are friendly as well and weigh each loose bag by the pound. Ironically I filled out and had them mail out the notarized certificate of document destruction. They will also email it to you only if you prefer. I can't tell you how much time they saved me (as I am getting to that stage in life of weighing time vs. money vs. the fact I won't do it all myself in this case). The relief of knowing that these old documents I was never going to look at again were all gone is priceless.
