I was a customer for over 2 years and found our storage unit had been burglarized. We filed a police report and contacted Extra Space customer service and they told us that they would not investigate the matter since we called the police and to get our information from them. We spoke to someone who was moving out the day we went to move out and they had also had their belongings stolen from the storage facility. Do not come here if you have valuables because they do not care if your stuff gets stolen. They will also raise your price by double after 2 month of staying there read more

I haven't worked with the manager since I rented online, but they are good with messaging me to check in that I got in ok. I would have liked it if there was a temperature controlled 10 x10 available, but it is an inside access one, so that helps a bit. Not happy with the way they increase storage fees without notification. My rent has gone up from $110 to $141. There seems to be an increase every 6 months. Will be vacating my Unit soon. read more

Tanisha is a sweet, hardworking manager. However, the owners of this company are very greedy. They raise your price every four months. I have been with them on and off for several years. They have no loyalty to their long term customers. They will get you in with a cheap price then will keep on raising it after that. I have been storing at this location for 5 years, during which time this place changed hands from Liberty to Sparky's and now to Extra Space within a three year period. Since Extra Space took over our price has gone up from $238 to $251 to $271 and now just got a notification in the mail that our rate is going up AGAIN in less than a year to a whopping $285!!!! The units are very dirty, which we have put up with to avoid moving again, AND they allow a transient to sleep inside the premises in his Van which is a total safety issue. Lastly, they require you to carry their high insurance. It's totally ridiculous and I can;t take it anymore. We will be moving hopefully before the rate increase July 10th. I have been storing here for the last year, it began as Sparky's until about 9 months ago when Extra Space bought them out. I just recently upgraded my unit from a 5x5 to a 5x15. Codi reserved the unit for me so no one could get it before me and Tony did all the paperwork with me. Tony was more than satisfactory in his customer service. He even followed up with a phone call to re do my gate password so that I could get in later that day. I couldn't have asked for better people to help me in the stressful time of a move. Not to mention this place is super clean. Thank you guys for the kindness and appreciation. I guarantee you it has not gone un noticed. Keep it up! read more

I definitely will be taking my business elsewhere. I had opened a storage unit I had just opened with Mark and not even a day later I wanted to cancel as my mom ended up having extra space in her storage unit. I wasn't asking for a refund nor did I ever ask for a refund (even though I should have received one as I never even stepped foot into the storage unit or even put a lock on it). I called to make sure the account was closed so I wasn't billed for September. I called and spoke with mark and he said he'd call me by the end of the day and no later than tomorrow. I haven't heard from anyone in about 7 days. So I call this morning and speak with Carlos who was absolutely rude and gave awful service! I don't know how these people obtain employment with the attitude they have. It makes the company look sick. I recorded the phone call and will be letting friends and family know about the poor service I received. Like stated previously, I didn't ask for a refund just simply to cancel the account so I'm not billed for September. Carlos laughs and proceeds to hang up on me. Thank god for recordings, work practices like this is unacceptable. read more

If you want to rent a storage space where your belongings are subjected to deer mice poop (and pee as well because our stuff stunk like it) and the likelihood of potential harmful HANTIVIRUS and have it all over your belongings when you go to get them out then be my guest. Rented here for 2 months and went to pick up my stuff to move into our new home and discovered that I had deer mice poop in my brand new refrigerator, all over my new couches, my new Cal-King Bed, our children's bed, on top of my microwave, my washing machine, my dryer, in my bag of bath towels, in bags of our kids clothes, all over our Christmas light and ornaments box, ALL OVER THE PLACE. As a matter of fact my last comment to the manager before I left was "I am not responsible for cleaning up all this mice crap in the unit right?" He answered "No". He did explain that there were other instances of this and they were going to call their rodent/pest control out and let all the tenants know that they would need to access their units (after the fact). Keep in mind my stuff was in there for 2 months. On top of this all I am required to carry their insurance and (this is the best part) was told to contact the "Premium Insurance" that I purchased from them about my Deer Mice poop infestation problem. I contact the insurance company and they said "sorry we don't cover rodent damage". They cover everything else shy of a Nuclear Missile Strike or crap that clearly wont or is on the High Probability list of not happening EVER in the city of Lancaster California (I.e. Tidal Waves, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Tsunami's, etc.) but not the obvious rodent infestation and damage. I spoke with management again and said this was unacceptable as I have 2 small children and my cancer stricken mother that will be in the house using the couches, the beds, towels, you know EVERYTHING I had stored in this unit. Their response was that this had to go up to corporate and someone would contact me in 48 hours. Keep in mind I asked to have the cleaning costs covered as I contacted a company (CHEM-DRY) and they gave me a quote to "CLEAN and SANITIZE" my belongings for $2,000.00! I didn't ask for BRAND NEW furniture, beds, fridge, washer, dryer, clothes, towels, etc! I asked for the cleaning costs to be covered so that I felt safe knowing that my belongings would be sanitized and habitable for use by my family. That was on Monday April 18th 2016 so I should have received a call on Wednesday April 20th, 2016 right? I had to call them today (Thursday April 28th, 2016, 10 days LATER!) just to get an update and be told that "sorry nobody called you back. We can do our best to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future but we are not responsible for rodent damage (or health issues that could arise from breathing in mouse crap and pee i.e. HANTIVIRUS) and this is why we require you to have insurance (insurance that doesn't cover against rodent damage). If you are looking into getting a storage I would not recommend getting one at this location or any other extra space storage locations. For a company to place their bottom dollar over the health of a family and their young children is absolutely uncalled for and to not even consider working with the tenant on the cleaning costs to ensure that their belongings are SANITIZED is just beyond me. I cant afford the cleaning costs and had to wipe down and attempt to sanitize EVERYTHING. My mother cannot come into our home now. NEVER AGAIN! Let me make one thing abundantly clear. This is not a reflect on the assistant store manager's (Cody) ability to perform his job as he followed every procedure that he could for me. This is a direct reflect on the Corporate office and their disregard for health issues/concerns that arise (rodent poop and urine) from storing belongings at their facility when rodents infest the spaces and shear lack of customer service in communicating with the customer when an issue like this arises. read more
