Most of my belongings were saturated and ruined and I had to throw them out. Storage Post offered no compensation and even insisted on full payment of rent due til I gave up the unit at the end of the billing period in mid Sept. I was told by a mover that the building also flooded during Sandy. I would not recommend this facility, even on the higher floor, as i assume mold is present throughout the building due to the ground floor damage.

I opened this storage unit a long time ago, and had not planned to keep my items stored for this…read morelong, but am living in a different state. I've been calling -- now about half a dozen times -- to try to get access to my storage unit. I keep leaving messages with staff, and still haven't been able to talk to management. It's been nearly 2 weeks now, and I have no access to my property. There've been other problems over the years -- including staff making claims that they don't have to honor any contractual terms. I don't recommend that anyone use this facility.

You have to be very careful when talking to customer service, they will start charging your card without fully understanding what you want and somehow you will be at fault when they charge you the wrong price. I am shocked at how they treat people, didn't sit right with me. After botching my reservation, they still expected me to pay the $29 that was supposed to credit towards the rental. They claimed they could not transfer that to the new lease agreement, because it was already linked to the lease was wrong... makes no sense. I still wanted to work with them, but they refused to add that $29 credit to the new lease.. and out of principle why would I want to work with them. After demanding my money back in and dropping the business relationship, I am so relieved I do not have to communicate with them any further. I don't know if the girl I talked to was new or what, but the company should be understanding of miscommunication and stand by their mistakes. Easy for them to not own up to mistakes when your card has already been charged. I would honestly just avoid this spot, glad I didn't sign a lease with them. Ended up with with a much better company, whose reservation process was easy and cheaper. Look elsewhere unless you enjoy headaches ;)
