Most of my belongings were saturated and ruined and I had to throw them out. Storage Post offered no compensation and even insisted on full payment of rent due til I gave up the unit at the end of the billing period in mid Sept. I was told by a mover that the building also flooded during Sandy. I would not recommend this facility, even on the higher floor, as i assume mold is present throughout the building due to the ground floor damage.

Just so you guys know - if you store things here, it could be stolen. It's not a secure facility and they completely dismiss any concerns about their security practices. Contacting their customer service email does very little as well - it's been a month since I reached out to their customer care address and they haven't provided any substantive response. It's not worth the rent you're paying.

It's been nearly 2 weeks now, and I have no access to my property. There've been other problems over the years -- including staff making claims that they don't have to honor any contractual terms. I don't recommend that anyone use this facility.

You have to be very careful when talking to customer service, they will start charging your card without fully understanding what you want and somehow you will be at fault when they charge you the wrong price. I am shocked at how they treat people, didn't sit right with me. After botching my reservation, they still expected me to pay the $29 that was supposed to credit towards the rental. They claimed they could not transfer that to the new lease agreement, because it was already linked to the lease was wrong... makes no sense. I still wanted to work with them, but they refused to add that $29 credit to the new lease.. and out of principle why would I want to work with them. After demanding my money back in and dropping the business relationship, I am so relieved I do not have to communicate with them any further. I don't know if the girl I talked to was new or what, but the company should be understanding of miscommunication and stand by their mistakes. Easy for them to not own up to mistakes when your card has already been charged. I would honestly just avoid this spot, glad I didn't sign a lease with them. Ended up with with a much better company, whose reservation process was easy and cheaper. Look elsewhere unless you enjoy headaches ;)

I had significantly less than half the belongings I had during my previous move, yet somehow this company managed to turn what normally takes approximately two hours into an unbelievable EIGHT-HOUR move! I had no particularly heavy or complicated furniture, just basic household items. They also showed up short one mover, and the entire process was painfully slow and inefficient. I've moved several times, and I've never experienced anything like this. The amount of time they took was completely unreasonable. To make matters worse, numerous pieces of my furniture were damaged, scratched, and mishandled, and some of my belongings were missing altogether! But what really speaks volumes about this company is how they handle problems afterward. I contacted them about the damage, provided the information they requested, and then they completely disappeared. No follow-up, no resolution, NOTHING. I've repeatedly tried calling, and they simply don't answer or return my calls. They're quick to take your money but nowhere to be found when it's time to take responsibility. Don't be fooled into thinking you're saving money by hiring this company. You're not! By the time they drag out your move for hours, you end up paying nearly as much as you would for a reputable, established, top-quality moving company.
