I stored my belongings in a ground floor unit at Storage Post for years. The ground floor flooded during hurricane Ida on Sept 1, 2021. Most of my belongings were saturated and ruined and I had to throw them out. Storage Post offered no compensation and even insisted on full payment of rent due til I gave up the unit at the end of the billing period in mid Sept. I was told by a mover that the building also flooded during Sandy. I would not recommend this facility, even on the higher floor, as i assume mold is present throughout the building due to the ground floor damage. read more

Wow! I've never seen a storage place that is so neat, organized, and clean as storage post in Jersey City. Valerie at the front desk was super helpful and professional. I couldn't imagine a better experience for something as vital but maybe lesser used as Storage. When you need it, you really need it! I have been a customer since 2019z I have paid my rent on time. and there has been one modest increase in rent for my unit. i use this to store all the belongings from a move out, basically what you would keep in a garage. today, when I entered my unit, a new lock was and had to have the staff cut it off. when it was cut off and opened, more than half of my stuff had been stolen. I locked the unit. and despite there being a key code to enter, anyone with access to the storage can steal. there are no cameras in the aisles and it looks like the thief opened boxes and carried out exactly what he/she needed. not one book was stolen. I lost over 15,000 in stuff. I wet it's this only to say. be careful of what you store. it's not secure and there is no guarantee of the same. my bank account was also hacked into and I am certain my account information was found from this break in. i was told by jersey city police that this happens a lot. How good can storage experience really be? I have just moved from another storage location to Storage Post. The facility is quite new, very clean and well kept. Yesterday we closed out our storage unit because we no longer live in the area and it is a bit of a ways away for me to get there. I just wanted to leave a review and mention how incredibly helpful this Storage Post location was. They always answered our calls and helped us out when we needed it. Whenever we had a package we couldn't get at home they were helpful in holding it for a couple days until we could pop over and pick it up. I would recommend this storage unit to anyone in the area. Val and India were awesome! Val showed me around and All I had to do was tell her the types of things I was putting in and she found the size to fit my needs! The storage place was clean and its climate controlled so I know my things will be safe. The elevator even has a security code that only allows you on the floor of your unit so its more secure. They also told me about specials they had running to save me money. I would definitely rent here again. read more

Rent at your own risk. The facility flooded during Ida, it has flooded in the past. NONE of this is disclosed to you upon renting. The entire first floor of the building sustained extensive water damage and there is not one unit on said floor that did not have water breached within. The building management has denied any assistance even those holding the company's useless insurance policy. They are qualified for FEMA damage and likely have flood insurance to cover damage and in turn make this right for tenants, the do not. People's livelihoods got destroyed, their lives upturned and the reality is that notification of this was a letter saying "water was seen outside your unit" REALLY? Try a river ran through it. This is a serious issue and they have done nothing in the past to avoid this such as sandbagging which could have reduced this or contacted tenants to assist in efforts to prevent damage by providing them onsite for us to take on. Now their are many displaced tenants whose belongings are rotting inside their units unaware to the level and depth of damage and that neglect will contribute to further damage within the building. During the remediation they provided only dumpsters and said good luck with that while tenants struggled on their own to try to salvage their belongings. This was a tragedy they could have avoided, you can by not renting there. Oh by the way they have raised rates, continued to bill us and made the second floor even more costly. This is the best storage facility I have ever been too!!! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the premises is clean and its great to go to a place where everything just works. rip-off alert: be aware of excessive late fees; grace period is only 5 days, and another 5 days after that, that's 35.00 worth. in addition you will get an invoice fee. also, it would be wise to ask who is their insurance carrier or if you can get some type of policy, i was declined any information on that( if you choose to buy insurance for your goods thru them). this is my first time using storage so i did not bother to shop around( mistake!), now that i have i found much much better rates in other places , including free moving services and free round trip taxi. arrivederci storage post... read more
