They were flexible with us as we had to reschedule due to weather, and had several complicated moves that were handled very well. As with any move, we took care ourselves to wrap things, communicate our needs and expectations, but I would do that with any mover. Ask questions, clarify and explain what you want. All furniture was wrapped carefully with moving blankets and secured and all breakables were treated with care. I've never seen a team of people work so hard!

It wasn't intentional, but the amount of damage we saw was much more than what I would have been okay with. The furniture and location was difficult however given that everything made it to where they needed to be, I'm sure it could have been done much more carefully. That made this pretty mid tier service. So 3 stars. And that's what we initially put in our review. But then after putting in our claim on damages with ample proof of damages, and also our honest review, my wife received a call from one of the movers asking us to take down the poor review because they would get in trouble with the owners. Now I'm wondering goes on behind the scenes because the good reviews seems much more shady now. How many other reviews got asked to be taken down? They got the move done and did it relatively quick given the difficulty. The price was rather high given the quality of work completed. And given how quick they were to request us to take a poor review down to me deserves an even poorer review. Honestly, if they had taken accountability right away to the damages I would have felt better about a simple 3 star review. I can't in good conscience recommend Zip Moving and Storage.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I had already packed my master bedroom and later completed the kitchen/dining room. Therefore, they completed the remaining three (3) levels and did a FANTASTIC job. I've never experience such experts with great customer service. The last movers I hired, dropped a case of Cooperhawks Wine and never replaced it. I would highly recommend this company, if you are looking for quality service. We actually moved fewer items than originally planned and they took one day less than planned to conduct the move. Based on that, we expected the final invoice would certainly be no more than their estimate. Much to our surprise, Perry sent us an invoice for an additional $1846, which was 17% more than the estimate! For more than two months after the move, we went back and forth on the upcharge with Perry, including with one of their vice presidents, Brad Payne, asking them to explain the rationale for such a large upcharge. We thought they should zero it out given they moved less than originally estimated and took less time than planned. They never really explained why this additional charge was warranted and asked us to pay the full $1846. Incredibly disappointing. We reluctantly paid it, but I strongly recommend avoiding this company. Find someone else with ethical business practices.

My friend and I live in the same complex and moving to another unit across the parking lot. So, we need her place and my place moved into one space. We have packed everyone up and though we were ready to go. They called me to confirm my move today and spoke with Chris. We went over the items and then the price. He even threw in a free kitchen packing kit and said the guys would help. Cool. He also gave me discount and I was happy. Kion calls me an hour later asking me to confirm the move. What? I spoke to Chris. We go over things and he tells me we are good to go. I am emailed a confirmation and then see a different price. I call back and speak to him again and he says, oh, that is an estimate but we would be done before that price. Then, I get a call from Mike. He wants to confirm my move and inventory. What the heck? He says his notes are confusing so he wants to check. We go over things, AGAIN. He then tells me that it sounds like more work so, he is going to send 5 guys instead of the original 2 guys and a truck because it's gonna be a big job and that it would take 9-12 hours and double the price that I was told. Umm, what? For a 2 bedroom apartment?? He tells me I can speak to his general manager, Kion. I literally confirmed with him before! I literally start crying because I am already stressed from preparing to move in a timely manner before the 31st. Kion and I speak again and he won't even let me get a word in and trying to say that the numbers Mike estimated are correct and that there is no way it wouldn't be a full day job. I cancelled, he says he will return my deposit and then transfers me to customer care where the guys asks me what can he help me with? You tell me, sir. He hears me out and says he need to speak with Kion to get his perspective and will call back. No one has called. Lesson learned to NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

I booked my move a week in advance and paid a $100 deposit after being told it would guarantee my moving date and secure my spot. Then, only 3 days before my scheduled move, the manager -- I believe his name was David -- called to tell me they were fully booked for the entire week and that my move would either need to be rescheduled or canceled altogether. I made it very clear from the beginning that my apartment lease ends on the 31st and that I needed to move before then. Had this company been honest about the fact that paying a deposit did not actually guarantee service, I would have hired another moving company much earlier. Now I'm left scrambling at the last minute, despite having everything planned out. I also have to report to work in another state on the 1st, so this has created a major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, speaking with them on the phone was a complete disaster. The communication was unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable. They agreed to refund the $100 deposit, but that does not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and potential consequences this situation may cause me. If I receive penalties from my landlord for a late move-out or face any employment-related consequences because of this company's failure to honor their commitment, I will absolutely be exploring all possible legal and consumer protection options.

The price was pretty comparable to others, but others only wanted an hourly rate. I was not sure on how long three people would take, but I knew I wanted it done quickly to move on with my life. If they have a cleaning service too, I would have gladly taken that. They gave me a video call and gave me a solid quote. I was happy in the end. They moved everything as I wanted and made sure my furniture and TVs were in good shape. I appreciate the service. I hope to work with them again.
