I had to call the corporate dispatcher to fill out my contract. Once that was completed, which took about 20 minutes, I was able to retrieve my rental vehicle. Due to the fact that the workers here are not u-haul employees, they are not savvy with contracts and vehicle rentals. I would suggest contacting u-haul corporate as you're on your way to pick up your vehicle so that you can minimize wait time. They will inform you of the vehicle number you're assigned to and you need to inform them of the current gas levels and mileage. You'll also need to report miles driven and that the gas was refilled to where it was when you got the vehicle. This location did not have any furniture dollys or other moving supplies. All in all, it is what it is. Not a great experience but I was able to move my things.

However, both were mishandled: * The return package meant for the merchant recipient was incorrectly delivered to Amazon. * The package intended for Amazon was somehow delivered back to my home instead of to Amazon. These were two separate items, dropped off at the same time, and both ended up at completely wrong destinations, something that should never happen. What made the situation significantly worse was the complete lack of support from PostalAnnex once the issue surfaced. When I contacted Sanjay, I was not offered any assistance, investigation, or sense of accountability. Instead, he immediately distanced himself from the situation and sent me the following message: "The drop off service is offered as a courtesy to our customer. The packages are handed off to the respective carriers. Please file a claim online at usps.com. We do not insure the drop off package's contents or value. The receipt itself has the terms and conditions." -- Sanjay This response was dismissive, particularly considering that both items were scanned and accepted at PostalAnnex, a step customers trust precisely because it is supposed to ensure accuracy and responsibility. When I spoke with USPS, I was told the matter needed to be addressed by PostalAnnex, since that is where the items were physically processed. Yet PostalAnnex declined to assist in any way, leaving me stuck between two parties, each redirecting me to the other, with no ownership taken by the location that actually handled the drop-off. The only support I received throughout this ordeal was from the customer service representative at the merchant recipient, who had no obligation to help but still guided me through the situation and helped ensure a resolution. What should have been a quick, routine drop-off turned into a lengthy, stressful, and avoidable two-week ordeal. I want to highlight one important caution for other customers: PostalAnnex's receipt contains terms and conditions stating they do not insure or take responsibility for drop-off items. Most customers likely overlook this, but based on my experience, it is something everyone should read and understand before trusting this location with packages that matter. He sent his crew to the property and they left windows wide open when they left. They did not secure the property properly. It rained over the weekend and water came through and sat on the windowsill and wooden floor for a couple of days. There were three pieces of furniture that Rick promised, and was paid, to remove from the property and take to Goodwill. Instead, the furniture was dumped at the condo complexes dumpster. The items had glass shelves, and were pushed over and the glass broke everywhere. This posed a hazard to other people in the community not to mention it was illegal to dump these items on the side of the dumpster. I called Rick immediately and gave him an opportunity to remedy the situation. He promised that he would and I returned the next day and one of the pieces was still left behind. There's a sign posted right next to the dumpster that states "no furniture". I reached out to Rick again and no response. This was an AWFUL experience and I won't use them or recommend them again. Coast to coast…read more I feel I dodged a bullet with many moving brokers trying to secure a contract through a hard sell and promise of *literally* unbelievable rate quotes. Doing further research I found there's a common and growing scam to quote low, then hold your stuff hostage until you pay surprise extra and extreme charges. Anyway, I went with U-Pack after researching the various container drop-off and load options. Contract terms were straightforward and no surprises on drop off. Both the start and end, U-Pack and their shipment team were super easy going with the schedule. Just call a day before drop-off/pick-up and they were able to make it happen. I had 3 cubes and two went to destination and the 3rd was stored by U-pack for a bit while I secured a longer term storage unit, and they dropped it off there. Make no mistake, packing and loading the cubes is a huge freakin' task. Do it in layers with large flat items working as "walls" to help hold stuff in. And ratchet strap each layer. A special call out to JW, the forklift operator in San Jose! He was one with that machine and able to maneuver with extreme skill and precision, including a very narrow and long driveway with tight gate and cypress tree. He's a magic man and was able to place the cubes perfectly between sidewalk and street and back yard driveway - saving me $ and headache dealing with the San Jose tax assessor regarding a permit if cubes block street parking and/or sidewalk. Other thanks to Skee (Ski?) at the drop in Florida. Also skilled w/ the lift and super accommodating on placing the cubes where I wanted. Finally, Gerry (Jerry?) and Lorenzo at dispatch. You'll be given a pretty huge window (like the whole day) for drop-off/pickup, but I'd give a call and they'd be able to narrow that window to a couple hours.

Went to great lengths and expense coordinating pickup with another party and Tavares. As the pickup/drop off date got closer I hadn't heard anything from Tavares. I began to send messages through yelp, via text, then finally called leaving multiple voicemails. I have not received a response after 3 days contacting them. On my first call, the phone rang like normal. After that every time I called it went straight to voicemail, I believe they blocked my number. If you changed your mind or something came up and you can no longer do a job, just let your customer know. Don't leave them in the dark and block their number.
