None of this made logistical sense, and the company provided no real explanations. After complaining repeatedly on social media, I was connected with Brianna. While she made promises to follow up, she did not call back when she said she would, and communication continued to fall flat. When the delivery finally arrived after 29 days, the driver handled my belongings carelessly -- I watched him drop a bookcase, resulting in significant damage. Overall, Safeway Moving caused about $2,400 in damage to my items. My insurance company is now pursuing them because Safeway will no longer respond to me directly. They did offer a $450 discount, but that is extremely insufficient for a move that cost me nearly $10,000 and caused weeks of stress and damage. Poor communication, missed delivery timelines, careless handling, and lack of accountability make this company a choice I strongly do not recommend. They also have other non accredited BBB profiles, this company is actually based in Florida but this is the profile they sent me to try to prove they were legitimate.

Little did I know what would end up transpiring. I was originally quoted about $900 for half a days work. My husband was on site for the move and he reported back to me throughout the day that the three workers were standing around and talking often, and when they got to our house, they would not unload until the credit card payment was made. I was astounded to see over $2000 charged on the credit card, my husband had to call them and they said that they had charged for the amount that they thought the total cost of the move would be, he told them that we only had them for about four hours and that this amount did not make any sense, so they initiated a refund. The original refund was only $300 less which was incorrect, so he had to call a second time to get the correct refund amount. When the movers came back to try and say that they would take the rest of our items he told him not to bother that he would find someone else to finish the job. I feel disappointed that I was led to believe that they were a great company and that this transpired.

If they are gonna give you an estimate, it should list the expected number of hours and material charges. These guys tacked on $1000 for tape, bubble rap and boxes. Absurd. Management should had an idea of how long the job will take and relay that to the customer. The guys doing the job weren't that bad but it shouldn't have been 14.5 hours and they shouldn't have left the heaviest items at my place. I feel the management is at fault here for trying to milk every hour they can at overtime and then tack on 25% just because. Sorry Good Greek, you're just as bad as the rest of them.

They also scratched my floor and never mentioned it, which I only discovered after they left and had to report myself -- something that could have impacted the sale of my property. While they did repair the floor, that doesn't excuse the lack of honesty and care. To make matters worse, they hid behind their contract and offered a $25 payout for a TV that cost well over $100, instead of taking real responsibility. Then the damage became evident... four pieces of furniture completely broken, leather chairs gouged, a new piece of furniture still in the box completely shredded and scratched, a box of glasses dropped.
