Worst experience ever!!!! After paying for three (3) with there constantly increased fees. They sold our unit without us knowing while we were actively paying. What we have in our unit valued $8,000 or more dollars...All our personal, sentimental memorabilia ( including photographs (plaques) books, my husband's important documents in his briefcase with his land titles, university certificates and other important documents. NEGLIGENCE!!!!!! on their part. They didn't secure. All they told us that they buyer is a Haitian man, whom they're trying to contact to take back our personal belongings. Just imagine our personal belongings in the hands of a complete stranger! God knows what he's doing with them. CARELESSNESS!!!!! This should have never happened! This caused us sleepless nights and emotional trauma and my husband is a senior citizen with high pressure. I would not even recommend an animal to those people. read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY - when I started renting a 5'x5' storage unit there back in 2016, the unit cost me $32.65. The most recent payment, for the same unit, cost me $251.32. If you look online, their introductory price for units of equal size is around $55 - which is great, except that if you're storing stuff in a storage unit, chances are you'll leave it there for a while. Be aware that they will literally quintuple the price on you!! TLDR: First payment For Unit: $32.65 Most Recent Payment: $251.32 Usually I don't bother writing reviews, but this one is so ridiculous I have to - if you can avoid it, I highly recommend not renting with them. read more

This Storage facility is constantly increasing the monthly rates as follows: Oct-2023 $191.00 (There was another increase prior to June however I literally begged for a reprive). Jun-2024 $257.00 Dec-2024 $312.00 I saw another review stating this same issue....please be very mindful in renting from Public Storage @ 8300 N University Drive. It is extremely disappointing as the website offers lower rates yet they are penalizing loyal, on-time paying customers. What a shame! read more

I reserved a unit on Friday and had it saved until Sunday. The guy at counter called me Saturday at 1pm asking if I was coming in and I replied I would be there by 4pm to pay for the reserved unit. When I got there he has sold the last unit available for my size and exterior. Absolutely ridiculous and totally unprofessional. The guy had nothing to say but oops. God damn moron. Totally screwed me with my plans and location. Couldn't get in touch with any managers or anyone that could help. Terrible way to to business read more

I started renting a storage unit here in the beginning of June 2023. The facility is nice and clean. They have elevators & dollies for the patrons to use. Not to mention access to the property by using the app on my cellphone. Gina was the associate that gave me a tour and signed me up. She's friendly and knowledgeable. No complaints about this place thus far! read more

this Public Storage facility never has flatbed. They only have one there's four moving trucks one flatback for everybody. I know Public Storage is a big company, but they don't really give a damn about anyone. This location is the 8300 University Dr., Tamarac, FL 33321. read more

Being the second time I use a Public Storage facility and paying for a AC'd unit, I can honestly say I'm disappointed and fed up with asking this particular location to lower the AC so that it actually feels COOL on my floor. Reported this twice to the office and received a call back both times from the very polite manager. She stated she would call in to get it checked. Their United are supposed to be brand new. But it's clear that the issue is coming from higher than her. If company policy is to keep it at 76-78 degrees, as she stated to me, THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH for such a large space. You are robbing people. If any of my belongings are ruined, you will have a problem. read more

Comparable pricing. Really nice staff before and after leasing. Great access hours. Faculty is clean. They give you your own gate code. Flat carts are provided. read more

"Customer service very nice and friendly" Dulal Kundu

The worst experience thus far. Book a reservation for a 10x15. The fee on the site stated $1. Pack the uhaul and got there to find out by Brenda that... they took back the $1 offer, I was sent no email of this, no phone and had a truck loaded with items. They didn't honor the $1, and put me in a smaller unit a 10×5, that could not fit all my items. It was a totally messy experience. No accountability and the worst customer care. I'm still waiting on a call back from the general manager and also had calls hang up on me several times. The worst, I wish I could give then a negative 10. read more

I never really rented a storage unit before. However, they made it very convenient to rent a unit and no contact service as well. The unit was clean, lock available, and they had dolly's available for easy transfer of my boxes to the storage space. Pretty affordable too for what I needed in a pinch. read more

Lucy at this location was phenomenal ! What I booked on online wasn't what I actually needed she asked probing questions and was able to find exactly what I needed . Thumbs up read more

Megan was very helpful in showing me the unit I wanted and getting the paper work done very quickly while she explained everything that I signed. She was friendly and answered the few questions with great ease. It was a pleasure dealing with her. Elliot H Goldberg read more

This storage facility is horrible. There is rat feces all over the place including inside the storage unit, dead and alive cockroaches and chameleons. The bathrooms are unattended, filthy, and unequipped. No toilet paper, toilets dirty and have matter on them, tipped over overflowing garbage cans etc. I used this storage facility for two years and had 3 storage units. When the Manager, Claudia, left we had not had any issues to that time. She was a great Manager, the place was clean and the staff actually worked, made rounds, cleaned bathrooms etc. Since she left and Jose came on board, the filth and theft rose. There are several outside units that house people or families. The doors to the building are never locked so they can use the "facilities". Recently, we had an issue of "someone", who I believe to be an employee, replaced my lock with another Public Storage lock. When approached, the Manager claimed I had the wrong keys. Well, I visited my units 3-4 times a week as I kept inventory for my business in there and the staff was aware. So having the wrong key was impossible as it was never removed from its location on my key ring. The lock was REPLACED. The cameras are only pointed outside at the gate and do not rotate images and there are none inside the building. We once had an issue where these 3 guys walked through the opening gate as we arrived at night and loitered around the foyer. We knew they did not belong there so we simply left. There are usually 3 staff members on at a time and I have often witnessed 2 of the girls sleeping on the job. Why the hell they are not made to clean bathrooms and trash and sweep hallways is beyond me. The "climate control" advisement only means the temperature does not change. It is set at 80 degrees and never changes. It would be dangerous to store electronics in this heat as well as anything cloth as it gets moldy. We made the mistake of having a family member rent a unit there and she mentioned the security breach to Jose, who denied its existence to her face even when she said our relation. We all left at the end of the month. We have since moved, Thank God, to a clean, well kept, very secure, professionally staffed and truly climate controlled. Do NOT make the mistake of renting here unless you intend to live there...then its pretty cheap rent, although this is illegal. But if you have anything of value, please do not rent here. It is not safe. The staff is dishonest and lazy. Do not entrust them with your valuables.myou can go to any number of family owned facilities in the immediate area, get clean, climate controlled units and CHEAPER! I actually am saving over $250/month for a way better place and unprecedented service and security. I wanted to attach some pictures of the mess and filth but this site would not allow me. read more

Fast, friendly service with a smile. Clean and cool storage areas. More than happy to recommend. Lucy was wonderful!

I was very pleased with the service and professional help from Lucy (General Manager). She answered all my concerns and showed me a few units until I found the right fit for my needs. read more

I have never used a storage facility before and Megan made the process very easy. She asked what I would be storing to figure out the best size unit for me. I was between two sizes and went with the bigger one (even though Megan suggested the smaller one). After much thought (and paperwork), I changed my mind! Megan was extremely helpful and pleasant even when I couldn't make up my mind. I felt bad changing my preference, but she had no problem fixing the paperwork for me. It seemed to get busy and more people needed Megan's attention, she didn't forget about me while I was filling out the paper, and finished helping me as soon as I was done. (You know how sometimes, at other places, while you're filling out paperwork the employee starts helping someone else and then you have to wait until they're done with that person). Claudia came in a little bit later and was just as nice. They were both super friendly and had conversations with us while we were finishing the process of signing up. I would definitely recommend this public storage for the great/professional service. read more

Centrally located, great location in the heart of Tamarac. This facility is very clean and kept in great shape not only in the office but the facility itself. I have never used a storage facility before and Jose made the process very easy. He asked what I would be storing to figure out the best size unit for me. Jose was super courtesy and super friendly and we had conversations while we were finishing the process of signing up.
