FINALLY with our most recent move, I now know who to go to. Travelstead Transportation Group was an amazing choice and I highly recommend it to anyone that has the opportunity to choose a moving company. Starting with the coordinating over the phone, they were very professional with getting an estimate and scheduling a walkthrough to take a survey. Once we landed on a quote, the moving process was super seamless. The team showed up early and were ready to get started. Super professional and no surprises as they were very communicative with what they were doing, timelines, etc. They were even able to cut down some costs from the quote based on how they were able to consolidate some packing/supplies to not use as much (but without compromising safety of goods). After everything was said and done (finished with more than an hour to spare from the original quote), there were no damages and they assembled everything that they took apart. Don't get me wrong, the price tag is a bit high but with moving companies, you get what you pay for. I'd gladly pay that amount again for the level of service that was provided. Will definitely consider hiring again (hopefully I don't have to move again in the near future).

On appearances, it is an average UHaul location, with lots of 10 ft. trucks available. Nothing special, until Jerone walks in. Jerone was single-handedly running this entire operation, between moving trucks, cleaning them out, and managing the front desk. He was quick and knowledgeable, and made this the EASIEST UHaul experience- both at checkout on Tuesday and return Wednesday AM- that I have ever encountered. There are times when you go places and thank god for making the little parts of life so easy. Jerone was my Uhaul godsend. Thanks, Jerone! I made the mistake of returning my truck to another location. The manager at that location called…read moreme the next day to warn me and even offered to allow me to pick up the truck and return it to the original location to avoid a fine. However, I was called 5 minutes later and was told I was going to be punished for not taking it to the original location. I was then told my issue would be escalated, but it's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything from anyone. I've been using Uhaul since 2000. I understand I made a mistake. I was given a chance to correct this mistake. The person that charged me didn't even have the courage to call me, and used another manager to give me the bad news. I'm never giving Uhaul my business again.

Once from Indiana to Baltimore City, and the second from Baltimore City to Michigan. The first time I moved with them, the moving coordinator I worked with was very communicative, checked in with me throughout the moving process (including when my items were being picked up), and was conscious of my anxiety levels. The second time I moved, I needed to contact Stephanie to remind her of upcoming deadlines, follow up with her when she said that she would get back to me and failed to do so, and was also unprofessional at times, uttering profanities like "retarded" in reference to the move itself when on the phone with her. What's more is that one of my inventory items never even arrived to me. They launched an audit to find the lost items but came back empty, so I guess one of their workers just walked off with it. The pay out on the audit also was less than half of what the items were valued at. Some of the items that were lost can't be replaced. Like how does something just walk off? You're a moving company that specializes in moving things, and you're one of the most expensive brands in the market with guaranteed service. On a positive note, the people who picked and dropped off my belongings were very professional, on time, and handled everything like glass. Don't think I'll work with Perry again.

They were flexible with us as we had to reschedule due to weather, and had several complicated moves that were handled very well. All furniture was wrapped carefully with moving blankets and secured and all breakables were treated with care. I've never seen a team of people work so hard!

Charm City Movers was professional from start to finish. I completed a Moving Quote Request on a Saturday, and they called me on Monday with some questions. Andrew was very friendly and professional. My move included moving furniture from White Marsh to Mount Washington, with a stop in Timonium to drop off and pick up more items. A three stop move with lots of stairs at each location was quoted at $750. This was reasonable since I had anticipated spending about $1,000. Their window for a Friday move date was between 10-12. They called when they were about 20 minutes away and met me promptly at 10 AM. Four guys in a huge truck arrived and got right to work. Within half an hour we were on our way to the second stop to drop off a bed and retrieve the rest of the furniture. Off we went to the third and final stop to unload everything. I was nervous about large items fitting up a narrow stairwell, but the guys assured me that if I had measured right, they would have it all fitting in the apartment in no time. That they did. When everything was unloaded, the driver went over the listed items and made sure everything on the list had been moved and put in the apartment. The price quoted was the price I paid, and they were done in exactly two hours. I tipped each guy in cash and felt a huge sense of relief when they drove away - knowing moving day was successful and complete. Great customer service and fast and efficient movers.
