They were all polite, no cussing and no drama, just GREAT TEAMWORK!! Steady busting a$$ and finished what was originally predicted to be a five-hour job down to three and a half hours. These guys were professional. They, again, arrived at our new home promptly, and while the team shrunk from five in MD to two in SC, still did great work. Just steady humping, taking no breaks, until the job was completed. Great attitudes and a better work ethic we couldn't have asked for. Originally, I was a little apprehensive about using them for a move of this distance (600+ miles), but my wife believed in them (we used them 11 years ago for a 10-mile relocation) and she was correct. Day of, there is some work to do. I was confirmed that morning of the move to be on location by a specific time. Well as I waited I was informed of logistical issues with the driver. Honestly, when dealing with people that are taking off work to be present during delivery, and the service they are paying for is late, it's such a frustrating situation. Nonetheless, this shifted everything about 40 minutes behind schedule and they still were able to complete the job. The guys were apologetic and I got my furniture. Would i come back for service? Yes. But likely leave more wiggle room for the time.

MetroMove not only unassembled, packed and moved my furniture and belongings but they unpacked and reassembled my furniture at my new home all for a very fair price. While most of my belongings came with me to my new home, some items had to be taken to good will, and the rest had to go to the junk yard. This company was able to handle these additional jobs quickly and with fair pricing at short notice . However, I'm glad I saved JFP Express in my drafts because their service was excellent. I contacted three different companies through Yelp, but ultimately chose JFP Express because they were the only ones who provided an all-inclusive price with no hidden fees--unlike the other companies. I find it frustrating when businesses try to extract as much as they can from customers through various pretexts and dishonest practices. JFP Express, however, was honest and transparent from the start. Jason was very courteous and communicative, arranging everything seamlessly. When the team arrived, they were respectful, personable, and professional. The piano, along with everything else, was handled with the utmost care and attention. I was shocked when we again requested the company to move us a very, very short distance from one place in our rental community to a larger place in the same rental community. From the very first meet my husband and I felt uncomfortable because the man in charge came in with a nasty attitude. Lance spent more time in our restrooms obviously avoiding moving our belongings. While he was in our original apartment, he announced to us that our couch was oversized and he would NOT be able to get it upstairs in our townhouse. Lance had never been in our new townhouse so how he made that determination is still baffling. He claimed that we would need to leave our couch down in the basement. My husband removed the chair rail himself and lo and behold, the couch actually fit. One of his minions, kept telling us that Lance was an expert and knew what he was talking about. Lance was lazy and for every 10 boxes his helpers carried up, Lance brought one. Of course, that was when he wasn't hiding in our bathroom. At one point I couldn't take it anymore and finally told him that I was shocked by the way he kept dropping everything on the floor, unfortunately, so did his helpers with the exception of two of them. I overheard him outside telling his coworkers that he was tired of my "smart mouth". His coworker apologized to my husband and I for Lance's behavior and comment knowing we had obviously heard it. Thankfully, there were two guys that had a work ethic. A few more words about Lance. Lance continuously complained about how cold it was outside, which it was, yet none of his coworkers were whining. One of the guys was struggling with moving our couch at which point it dropped on his foot. That had to be extremely painful, but he continued to carry on. Later, Lance got scratched by a staple in our couch and so overreacted that it was comical. Keep in mind the poor guy that had the couch drop on his foot and then this large grown man practically melting down over what was equivalent to a paper cut. The other thing we noticed was that Jacob had talked about giving us a deal as returning customers, however, Lance actually charged us extra. I recommend that you ask Jacob ahead of time if Lance will be the one sent to you. If so, make sure you have toilet paper in your bathroom because that's where he likes to hide. I actually saw another review prior to our move and realized too late that the reviewer was referring to Lance. Hopefully Jacob has let him go, but unfortunately, the damage has been done and most likely we will not ever use Thompson Moving again.
