They arrived between 2-5 PM (closer to 4 PM) and gave me a call before reaching, just to confirm that I was ready. During the quoting process, we listed out all the items--furniture, chairs, bed, mirror, boxes, etc. When they arrived, they first verified the number of items matched the quote. They were okay with a few extra small boxes (2-4), but if something significantly bigger wasn't on the list, they either wouldn't take it or would charge extra. They charged me for 4 hours of work, and 3 movers showed up and completed everything within that time. They even moved 3-5 extra items without any hassle. They handled fragile items like the mirror and glass table with care, though they did charge $80 for packing materials. There was some damage to a dresser cabinet, but they compensated me for it. Overall, I'm satisfied with their service and would consider using them again.

Unusually large amount of things were broken. If it was porcelain or ceramics (including family heirlooms) it was damaged. If it was wood it was dented. The guys were very responsive to get the job, prompt and on time, and polite when they arrived and even through the process. However they totally hustled me. They quoted me one price and then changed and increased the price two times during the moving day, while they already had my things packed in their van. Which also they didn't show up with an actual moving truck but a large van --So that was their excuse as to why they now needed to do two trips to my new house and were going to charge for it, (why was it my problem they did not have a large enough moving truck and also did not tell me this??) and then claimed I had more inventory than they expected or I told them, which wasn't true. I stated I had two large couches and several end tables, baby crib and baby furniture and about 4 wardrobe size boxes and some medium boxes. They said I told them perhaps half of that, it wasn't true. I had an estimated inventory list I sent to several moving companies so why would I have told them anything else?? But what could I do at that point? They already had my belongings in their van once they increased the pricing, and I had to move that day, and they knew that. So they ended up basically hustling me, I ended up paying more than double their original quote. They charged for the distance, the double trips, anything they could use to charge me more for. I've moved multiple times in Manhattan, Long Island and the Hamptons over the last 11 years. Never had a bad experience like this. The price was always the price, they packed everything and were very professional. This company is not that. They are a small company, they don't have an actual moving truck, it's a large van. They don't make an inventory list before hand (so make sure you have one and it's exact, not even one or two boxes or a piece of furniture more when you get a quote from them, otherwise they will change your price multiple times during your moving process). And they will demand the tip as I see in other reviews they did this to me too and wanted 100/each at the end. So after quoting me 800. It was 1500. The whole process just felt dishonest and when your items are already in their van, your hands are tied and you have to pay it. There's a lot of moving companies out there so I would recommend looking elsewhere. Or if you hire them, make sure to have your exact inventory, and know what type of vehicle they are bringing to move your items in and make sure that all your items will fit. Otherwise you are in for big surprises the day of. And they know that, so they seem to be getting away with doing this as I can see from other reviews... it's the same story.

The movers were not bad guys and did their best while moving my furniture from NJ home to storage. The furniture was delivered to Myrtle on time however three to four issues arose. My Ethan Allen entertainment center was broke and I was informed by the representative at sea cure to repair and send claim in that was done and they paid me the 120.00 it cost . Next was my Jennifer convertible love seat that was in pristine condition. This piece was ripped at legs and had several burns on side . I called the representative he told me I didn't have full replacement insurance and the claim would be paid at a pro rated amount . The estimate to recover was 350.00 without material . I then called the same representative and he told me to call him after claim was settled and he would try make up the difference which in my opinion would be offset of about 500.00 total for material and recovering of sofa. I get a check from the claims department paying me 180.00 for the love seat. I then call the representative to negotiate in good faith the difference as per his instructions. He sends me an email explaining how I didn't take full replacement and with his discounts I'm actually up money . In my opinion This representative should have been honest and upfront. Why tell a customer that he would make up difference if you never had the intention of negotiating. I gave my furniture to his men in good shape and I can't use it. Last the top of an antique finial broke and the driver of truck glued it back . My home and possessions are immaculate. Last my piano screws were missing and they rigged it with round top screws so now my piano doesn't close flush . Not a bad group but some of my nice furniture was broken and or not usable with no option of being made whole . Last email I got was an accusation saying that by posting this review I'm trying to extort money . The truth is that the representative acted in poor faith as a business owner . Six guys arrived and parked the dump truck in a very precarious space that was difficult to access for even regular parking. They got to work immediately, communicated every step of the way, asked questions when needed, and even put aside valuables that they found amongst my Uncle's things, including jewelry and collectibles. I've never used a service like this before and all I can say is they set the bar for what I expect if I ever need a service like this again. They do everything. They're also going to rip out the carpets and come back and do a deep clean. They will even washed clothing and linens and bring them back to you if needed, even though I didn't need that service. They put aside anything that was salvageable in clear bags. Truly respectful and handled everything with care. So thankful that they handled my Uncle things in this way. Great job guys!

They did a great job packing all of our items, which included a lot of heavy items, including a large marble table, several couches, and tons of heavy pieces of decor. I had to share my experience, because this company did exactly what every relocator's WORST…read morenightmare is. I found them on unpakt.com, called them, and found them to be very helpful and able to accommodate my needs. It was a comfortable 3-4 weeks before our move. We were happy. Then, out of nowhere, 12 days before our move, we get an email that they canceled our move. No phone call, no nothing. Just an email. So, I call them -- and was promptly reassured that the cancellation was a clerical error ("I think my secretary cancelled you by accident"), and that he would get back to me. Saturday comes and goes, no call back. So I call Sunday just to check in, and am told that he is out of the office until Monday morning, but he will be back in the office by 9am and will call me first thing in the morning. I confirm that he knows my name, he tells me he doesn't need a phone number, recites the details for my move -- all in all, I'm feeling confident. Monday, 3pm, no call. So I call him and am sent to voicemail (for the first time) and leave a message explaining that I would REALLY love to hear back, given it's roughly 9 days before our move at this point. Monday, 8pm, no call. It is now Tuesday, 6pm -- still no call. Because of this "clerical error", and frustrating inability to return my REPEATED calls, we were forced to book with a different company -- after going through a number of other companies who were booked by this point. This company jeopardized my entire move, and they STILL have not called to apologize or rectify the situation. They delayed my booking a company that actually DOES want my business by 3 days during a peak season and less than 2 weeks before our move. This was the opposite of reliability.
