I had 2 moving vans for a move from storage at different locations to the new home with 2 reliable teams. When I ran into difficulties with a storage unit, they joined together and assisted at the second location. Moving two 10x25 units of furniture and boxes without incident. Sadly, the moving company (1/2 price movers) I used to move the items to the location damaged and scratched many items without telling me; only rightfully brought to my attention by this crew. Unfortunately, time has expired to make a claim. Will and Larry, as supervisors, made a stressful day easier to handle. Both teams pitched in to provide a safe move with professionalism and care in handling furniture and items. The guys also helped assemble a baby grand piano when other movers would have just left it in pieces. I will be using this company again for the second half of my move. Thank you to Will and Larry (he kept reminding me he's the handsome Larry) and your teams!!

Troy and his team went above and beyond, managing a 150-yard uphill walk to deliver furniture to our daughter's apartment on a grueling 95-degree day. My husband and I checked and rechecked, this caused a lot of tension between us. We have boxes missing from our kitchen, dining room, bedroom, basement, office (that had my writings and our workshop art studio area. Small personal items that I have had all my life are gone. I was in contact with Natalie from Impress and she was rude and condescending by asking questions about me being sure that I unpacked everything. REALLY???? She didn't even get the dates correct and send a claim form (which turned out to be for damaged not stolen). Being born and bred in NYC, I was happy to find a mover from there. We got screwed. DEEPLY DEEPLY disappointed.

Aki am not sure whether imbeciles work in that company but scratched and broken am have two different definitions. They lost my boxes and say the max value is $50-75 like wth??!! Even if the boxes were full of plates only, we know that they are not valued at $75 max!!! Like come on! They lost valuable shoes (all my dress shoes for work), my expensive sneakers from APL (one pair is $165-250) and they lost all my boots. And then start to tell me that people are claiming for diamonds in their luggage. First of all who would trust a moving company with diamonds. Also the fact that they came with a trailer and I was the last delivery. They were late by a week with zero communication and start comparing how a chef cooks and doesn't share ingredients. I'm not sure what restaurants they go to but the ingredients are always shared so that one persons is not getting poisoned by ingesting food they may or may not be allergic to. Also a carpenter tells you what materials they are using. This analogy was such a fail. Not sure who was advising this company. They want to pay me a total of $225 after losing and damaging my stuff well over $5000. They never communicated what kind of vehicle was being used for the delivery and then have the audacity to blame me saying that they don't have to say and I never communicated if my apartment would have access. I don't know if I am meant to be a mind reader to know what they are using to tell them if there will be access or not. Worst company ever!!!!! I can never ever recommend!!!

I needed to move some items from my childhood home in PA to CA. I was not going to be in PA, but my brother would be there to let them in. Not only did they show up hours late, but they made him pay $640 by check before they'd take the stuff. That was NOT part of our agreement. Then, once they had my stuff, it took me forever to get ahold of someone at the company to find out when it would be delivered. Susie, the woman who called/emailed/texted me multiple times a day when I was still trying to decide which moving company to use, was suddenly silent when I tried to contact her. I finally talked to a manager of the warehouse and my things were delivered more than 6 weeks after they were picked up. But that's not all. When the delivery guys arrived, they told me they could not actually deliver to my house, and that I'd have to rent a smaller truck and transfer everything from their truck. This was not discussed when I made the reservation. So I had to make about 10 back and forth trips with my car to transfer a couple boxes at a time from their truck (parked a 5 minute drive away) to my house. So inconvenient. The entire experience was unbelievably frustrating and unprofessional. No one there cares after they already have your money and your stuff. Don't use them!

I would like to believe that it was an oversight, but the lack of response to my calls make it seem otherwise. It appears that a much lower estimate was issued, not to be competitive with other full service moving companies, but instead in an attempt to bait and hook me, knowing that the office would be closed once the movers loaded the truck after 10pm on the day of my move and there would be no way to contest the charges. The low estimate seemed deliberate as I disclosed everything that I planned on taking and included pictures. Also, I ended up leaving a large item behind, which should have decreased the dollar amount charged as I was charged for space used. At this point, it seems that my items are being held hostage and my options are limited. Because the move was $1000 over budget, I am unable to put a deposit down for my new place. If I use the $1000 to put a deposit into my new place, I will have to pay the astronomical fee of $360 a month for storage with Jet Blue. If I choose to pay Jet Blue the $1000 balance and get my items right away, my unit will no longer be available. This situation is disappointing and had better ethics been practiced by Jet Blue, I would not be in this unfortunate situation. I believed that I was in good hands dealing with a company with integrity, but it's clear that that proved to be false. I am seeking a financial remedy for this dilemma.

The movers in NJ who packed me up were great, they worked hard and were very appreciative for their tip....... here is where it got irritating. When the movers arrived in my new location the manager immediately cornered me and said I would have to pay more because the distance from the truck to my apartment .... when I said it was the same in NJ he said he could work it out in the tip. Ok.... there were 3 movers and I told him I was going to be generous and planned to give $70 each (which I thought was a lot) he said make it $100. WTH? Then they rushed, and before they left the manager said he couldn't take the trash, it wouldn't fit because he was going to another job. Seriously? They just unloaded my furniture and the trash won't fit? So I had a stack of broken down boxes in my apt. for 2 days until I could take them out for pickup! I look over my list and I'm missing my TV- I told him I wouldn't sign because I didn't have everything. He insisted I had to sign and to write he owed me a TV on the bottom of the paperwork. That they must have left it. What a mess - he said. I would have it in 2-3 days.... today is day 5 and I'm still waiting. Do your research, that is all I'm saying and if you have more boxes than expected, Work it out BEFORE they arrive or they will slam you on the cost. I won't use these guys again. (Broken table, chair, pile of trash and no TV)

I was happy to finally have this issue resolved, although it's disappointing that I had to complain to the BBB for that to happen. Also, a note about the delivery: Accidents happen during a move. Even when I've moved on my own, I know that sometimes things break. It's a part of moving. That being said, I think more care could have been taken with the way my things were packed on the moving truck. Numerous boxes were basically crushed. Many (most) of the boxes that were delivered were left upside down. This led to some things being spilled and damaged in the move (nothing of huge value, so nothing worth fighting over). My suggestion to the company would be to be more careful about how boxes are stacked. Heavier boxes should not be stacked on top of lighter boxes. The movers themselves were friendly and courteous. Why only One-Star still? Although the cost issue was resolved and I finally got my belongings, dealing with this company was one of the most unpleasant parts of my move. Moving from CT to NC isn't easy as there are many logistics to consider. I hired a moving company because I thought it would be one less thing to worry about. I paid for the convenience of having someone else deal with moving most of our belongings. If I had known I was going to run into such a headache, I would have taken a week off of work and moved everything myself. In the long run, not only would it have been cheaper, but I would have had less stress.

It turns out that they are in Florida. Movers usually out sort jobs. Moving time the actual movers showed up, once all was said and done I paid more than I thought I would. I was a little mad but then to mover said you should always find a local mover to come see the actual item now you will have an accurate price. See furniture come in many different sizes even though you may say a dresser. Fast forward, All Point Moving and Storage held my items for a month at no cost in a climate controlled facility. Two weeks before I called and told them when to deliver and just like that the truck was on its way to Florida. I got a call from Tom at the office. Lisa the driver with ETA. She did have a delay but it was due to an accident and thunderstorms coming down on I-95. Which if you have driven it can be brutal. She was on point with updating me with the ETA. They unloaded set up and cleaned up what they could. I am so happy with their service and Lisa she really worked her tail off. We contracted with AMERISAFE MOVING, who used the key words Top rated, Full Service, White Glove. We had no idea and were not informed that AMERISAFE would subcontract our move to ALL POINTS MOVING & STORAGE. Had we known we would have done our research, saw the very low ratings that ALL POINTS received from other dissatisfied clients, and would have avoided using AMERISAFE and ALL POINTS. None of the AMERISAFE Ascertions were met. The final binding costs increased by a third. The increases were eyeballed, not measured. We were told that the "load" would be measured and weighted at the warehouse, however, half of the extra cost was paid at pick-up and the remaining half at drop off. The pickup was at our apartment complex in NYC and we were charged an additional one dollar a foot from truck to apartment. The first 75 feet were "free", however the distant in the City was many hundreds of feet. We were also charged two $75.00 elevator fees at pickup and one at drop off, when there should have only been two. The promised drop-off date was extended by 7-days leaving us at a logistical disadvantage. Communication was poor. My inquiries were treated as an inconvenience. Valuable artwork, guaranteed to be packed and handle safely, were jammed into three boxes without any protection. The drop-off supervisor was witness, at our request, to the unpacking of the artwork. Six important pieces were badly damaged. Two pieces had to be sent to an Art Conservator for repairs. Glasses and dishes were broken, furniture was marred, scratched and damaged, a computer was missing, and several items were missing from the inventory. The inventory list was a multi-copy carbon and I was given the semi-legible bottom copy to review among a myriad of other " sign here" "Initial here" impatient instructions. The missing computer contained important and confidential files. The corresponding 24" monitor showed up without a mover's sticker, was not on the inventory, and had my wife's name not been on the original box, it would not have been left with us. Other damages included a torn antique lamp shade, broken lamps, missing finial, and several scratched and damaged vintage picture frames, the list goes on. I tried to get some satisfaction by addressing my concerns with AMERISAFE & ALL POINTS to no avail. They both seemed accustomed to dealing with dissatisfied clients and referred me to CSIPROS. I filed a claim with CSIPOS as instructed,10-days after the drop off, allowing time to assess all of the damages. CSIPROS sent me acknowledgement of the claim, however they informed me that they were a third party, not affiliated with the movers, had no knowledge of or access to documents. That "the intent to file a claim does not constitute a claim". Detailed information would have to be posted to their website, such as inventory box numbers and items contained in the boxes, which does not exist. Our fourteen pieces of artwork, for instance, were inventoried in Box #1, Box # 2, Box #3 without specifying which pieces were in which boxes. We were further instructed NOT to repair any damages and to save all boxes, many of which had already been removed by the drop off crew for an additional fee. Actually, they told me they would remove the boxes instead of reimbursing us for the extra $75 elevator fee. I've attached some photos, however, we simply want to put this entire experience behind us, as we have no expectation of reaching a fair & just settlement with any of the entities involved, and I lack the energy to do the dance. This entire moving experience started out to be reasonably affordable, clear and simple and turned into a nightmare...So beware.
