We had a reservation scheduled for today at a 1 person office in Cleawater on 62nd St.. We had spoken with the on site premises and was scheduled to take our Rv over today. Do NOT under any circumstances bring your belongings here! They contacted me saying my unit had damage from the storm and I had to have my things moved out 11/7 a day I work. When I called they said too bad so sad you need to get your stuff out. The absolute worst experience of my life and will never use extra space storage again. There was no scheduling a time that I can come, no suggestions on where to go, just get your stuff and get out after 5 years of storing my belongings here. read more

Hey do you have a lot of stuff! Don't you dare think of selling it or giving it to goodwill. You don't have to part with it. Just keep all those material stuff here, in a locker. On average, how long do people have a subscription with a storage center? Beats me! But anyone not practicing minimalist enjoy the extra bill. There's another storage center being build around 7/11... they had to cut about 10-15 trees just to build that center. But hey, it's worth it right? read more

The managers never sweep up... Lots of dust in the hallways .. it takes weeks before they clean up

Used this storage co for over a year. Best storage facility in Clearwater. Property is well maintained and accessible. But the best reason to use this facility is because of their manager Heather!! She is always there to help with any of your needs. Goes above and beyond her duties. Especially helping and advising us old ladies who probably annoyed her more than once with calls and questions. Nice facility and the manager, Jason, is nice enough. The downside is the corporate pricing policies. First of all, you cannot count on the pricing, if you are looking for a new rental. The price on the website can and does change daily by as much as 10 or 20%. So, if you find that they have an "introductory" price that works for you today, you MUST get the space reserved or get the price in writing. Otherwise, it could change in the time it takes you to get over to their office. Then, if you do rent a space from Extra Space, you should be prepared to lock in the rental amount for as long as you intend to keep the unit. Generally, this means prepaying for a year or so. This seems to be the ONLY way to lock in a rental rate. If you choose to pay monthly, you should expect that your rent will go up EVERY QUARTER of every year you keep the space. They will continue to raise the rent every quarter until you finally get disgusted and decide to move your stuff out. For example, our rent DOUBLED in about a year and a half. They take advantage of the fact that many people will put up with several increases so that they don't have to move their stuff. Unfortunately, this sleazy practice now occurs with many companies in several industries. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I am new to this company. I know that while moving, especially if you need a storage unit, things can be stressful. Omar and the manager Jason at the Clearwater location off 19 and Nursery have gone above and beyond to help me get the correct unit and pricing. They didn't rush me, there were plenty of dollys on the property for me to use, and best of all, when moving units, they made the commute so easy. They were happy to help and pleasant to talk to the entire time. I never felt like I was bothering them, even on a Saturday evening before they were getting off work for their weekend. I am more than satisfied with the service I received. Heather was very helpful when we walked in to sign for our unit. She had previously gone and made sure that our unit was clean and ready to be moved into and left the lock for it on the floor of the unit already cut open so that we could easily access the lock. She was very knowledgeable and personable when we were asking her questions about the lease and other things pertaining our unit. I would do business again in the future with this company because of how easy they were to work with and how helpful their staff was. read more

The office on site is really great. The corporate guys are not so good. They raised my rent a hand full of times while I rented there. I was only there about 2 years. This is the reason that I left, otherwise it was a great location. read more

BAD Management....2 GATES....BOTH out on a Sunday morning....no one helped us resolve our problem!!!!! No one cared.... that we had movers paid by the hour...a rental truck loaded and a vacate date (to turn in keys) and no way into this faciity...... The rental truck had to be unloaded and returned. Movers had to be paid...lots of money out of our pocket.....we had to go back and rerent truck monday, hire movers again.... This Manager told me he had screaming, volgar, mean messages from 1/2 dozen tenants, but we were nice....boy was that a mistake! they still treated us like crap....we are already almost moved and do not want to move again, but if you have a choice, don't rent here...they do not care about you. read more
