Started my unit in 1 year ago at 116 a month the 162 then 213 a month with in a year for a 10x20 unit . Unit leaked have water damaged furniture and mouse infested mouse dropping and ruined over every thing some bowed chewed open and some plastic totes chewed on . read more

Public storage would have NO stars but that was not an option. Do NOT rent with public storage. Accidentally gently pushed on the wall and look what happened. 18 hours later, I have yet to hear back from the manager of the unit or from corporate ( they eventually called and said they would switch units, but I wasn't interested.) But WAIT! A bunch of mice got into my unit and chewed up all my belongings!!! This is not climate controlled or temperature controlled! I paid $100 for a medium sized unit, which is way overpriced and the price also included insurance. Definitely don't recommend this location ever. And it's a pain to get in and out because of the location on us 19. I didn't pay my rent due to this issue and I definitely don't plan on giving them my money ever again! And when I called and spoke about the mice issue, they told me it wasn't their problem or their fault! Like wtf??? read more

Definitely would not recommend this facility if you work a 9:00 to 5:00 if you need to access your storage anytime after 9:00 p.m. you will be locked out of your unit and locked into the facility. My battery for my vehicle died at the facility while I was loading my unit. As I was leaving the on-site employee had gotten rude with me and threatened that I will not be able to come in after office hours. I paid $256 for a 10x20 on the 12th and then received another statement due $156 on the 1st. Definitely do not recommend nor will I ever recommend. read more

I have used the facility here in Clearwater just north of East Bay Drive on the service road to Rt. 19 for about 10 years. I started in a large unit and down graded to a smaller unit when I sold some furniture. Donna, the manager is very friendly and professional and the grounds are well maintained. read more

I was a customer at this location for 12+ years and they auctioned my belongings because I was not able to make one monthly payment on time.Donna and Rosa did not tell me that I just simply needed to contact their Customer Service Dept.and ask for a payment extension.I found about this myself after talking to a Rep.on the phone.At that point and time the only person with enough authority to stop the auction was David Friday/District Manager.He never returned my phone calls and I ended up losing a lot of money in personal property and more sadly things with extraordinary sentimental value.As a professional in the Real Estate and Property Management Industry I make sure that whenever my clients need additional storage space they stay away from Public Storage.They do not know the meaning of customer loyalty.On site managers are not empowered to make decisions on their own and Regional Managers lead by intimidation.A formal complaint sent by me to the Dept.of Consumer Affairs was approved and posted by them under their web page. read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

No stars. currently writing this as tears are rolling down my cheeks. My entire life MY ENTIRE LIFE inside this storage and there is wet boxes, mold growing on my couch. Rat poop EVERYWHERE rat pee everywhere. many boxes that rats chewed thru. Memories they destroyed. If you think ahahahhhhh that wont happen to me. please dont waste your money. $400 a month. Do not trust the condescending managers. They are thieves. They don't have any concern over you and your belongings. They only want your money. They don't have access to the cameras. Wtf? How do they not have access? My stuff was stolen and not a single care was given by them. This place is 100% dishonest. The units are fairly sized and clean. Rosa helped me with finding an appropriate sized unit for the amount of stuff that I had. She was very friendly, she found me a great price and she gave me a delicious orange after she showed me around the facility. The orange is (obviously) not a required part of the job but that just shows how considerate the staff at this location really is! read more

This is a great, clean location. The staff is friendly, especially Rosa. I got a large unit with roll up doors on both sides (wasn't aware until call) and only out a lock on one side. Rosa was making her rounds and called me immediately to advise i have two doors and need to lock one. She has always been helpful and friendly.
