I've only been with them for 2 months and all the sudden they went from $116 for the rent to $195. Don't use them, no business ethics. I can understand price increases but to almost increase the rent in the first 2 months of doing business with you. Almost double is absolutely theft. Avoid at all cost or it WILL cost you. They get you in the door with the 3 month specials then tell you your rate is x amount but then jack the rate without warning. They send you emails that either never make it to your inbox or never actually get sent. Email is NOT a proper form of communication for 1 sided decisions. They raise your rates higher and higher and force you to switch to smaller units then charge you MORE then the larger units. And you pay a $10 transfer fee??? Because why. I've NEVER had this issue with any other storage unit in my LIFE. Some increase by 10% after 6 months some its a year but never in my life have I seen a company this GREEDY and PREDITORY. DO NOT PUT ON AUTO CHARGES THAT'S HOW THEY GET YOU. A $90 increase for a unit that is currently less at FULL PRICE on their website. Do NOT trust the good reviews the staff ask you to leave them when you first get there. There are many others like me with the same issue. They are no better then thugs who shake you down. read more

I write this as Hurricane Elsa is on its way. We have our hurricane kit which includes our generator and portable A/C stored in our unit there. After work, I drop by to pick these essential items up. However I arrive at the gate and its chained. I go to the front gate and there is four other customers there. I talked to them and it seems that the management locked up the gates and left. There is a sheet of paper on the door indicating that the facility has been locked. These customers each had something essential that they needed and couldn't get to it. Each of us were expecting the business to adhere to their usual posted open times. The management of this business gave ZERO notice of them closing down early. ZERO. They felt a paper sign on their door sufficed in notifying their customers. Absolutely unacceptable. They have all of our contact information. They took the lazy way out. They locked up and bolted out of there without a second thought to the customers. Its not my responsibility to find out if\when they are closing early. I am the customer. Email me. Text me. Call me. They should notify me of a situation that's out of the ordinary. Its the least they can do with the money I give them every month. VERY disappointed in the management. Poorly handled situation. Best self-storage place in the county!!! After 5 failed attempts to find storage, a co-worker told me about Whitney 19. THANK HEAVENS she did because it turned out to be the best call I've made in awhile. They are AFFORDABLE, have KNOWLEDGEABLE and FRIENDLY Manager, FANTASTIC HOURS and CLEAN facility inside and out. Why spend over $175 for a 10x10 climate controlled unit when you can get it for a little over $100. It's a no brainer people. Whitney 19 Storage is your place to store. read more

Steer clear of this place if you are looking for an honestly managed storage facility. I signed a month to month lease with this facility to store my boat at until a marina slip became available. I made my monthly payment via the online portal as I was flying out of the state and hours later I had friends of mine go to the storage unit to take my boat to a service center. When my friends entered the facility, the manager, Mike, approached them in a very hateful manner and demanded payment saying that "their friends didn't make their payment on time and unless they paid it, they couldn't take the boat" although I had already made the payment earlier that day. So my friends paid the $100 payment for the 25 ft uncovered parking space to retrieve the boat therefore submitting two payments for one month to the facility. When I called the manager to ask for a refund and that we were going to cancel the space since we got a marina slip, he said that the second payment would apply toward the next month and that they do not give refunds. Although it was this man's fault doe double charging us, he said online payments are non refundable as stated in the terms agreed to when submitting the online payment. As I agreed, the transaction that my friends made at the store is certainly refundable on the credit card machine he used but he told me he wired it so he wouldn't be able to give anyone refunds. I asked to speak with the owner and he said that our money was not important enough to pick up the phone and call the owner, that he would "have a meeting with the owner at the end of the month and possibly bring it up." I have managed a small business for 6 years and know that if the management accidentally double charges a customer, it is the right of service to refund their money. This manager told me he will NOT refund either of my payments and I should be happy if he decides to mention it to the owner a month after the payments were made. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS TERRIBLY MANAGED FACILITY, they are not customer oriented and will take your money. read more

Mike was very courteous and helpful, and even coordinated the transfer with my movers. The facilities are clean and spacious. I am very satisfied with my experience there. read more

Clean place, but don't ever miss a payment. My unit is $50 month, the late fee is $23... that's nearly a 50% late fee if you are 1 day late.
