I couldn't ever get the QR code to work but hope this finds it to their management team. My mother has moved out of state to be with more extended family for a better support system. My father passed away unexpectedly and suddenly in 2017 and as most can imagine, we really never recovered. It also caused everyone to procrastinate going into his shed where he had a workshop that he did excellent woodworking pieces, stocked his shop in fuquay with these items, and learned tricks of the trade from his father. This was email was his happy place. There was also a lawn shed and my mom's shed on site. - All were kept up nice from outside but 1000% full of my dads tool, pool accessories, lawn equipment to odds and ends for storage!! After my mom moved out of state, a little in a quick manor, especially when it was to hard to kind of open Pandora's box of mixed emotions... the sheds stayed closed for others to handle on her behalf once she was gone. Fast forward several months after she left ( I think many can relate) it was starting to affect the sell of the house. I reached out to this company, received the quickest response and truly picked my day and time. Communicating. Expecting to just get a quote and hear something in a few days, Kell said oh no, if you are good with quote, we can come back if you prefer or we can get started now. Both Kell and angel were kind, respectful of the situation, and moved fast and methodical. They gave so many options for payment to make sure it was as stress free for my mom who is out of state as possible. We knew it was going to be a lot, but they didn't even show the slightest bit of annoyance for the mess. They answered any questions right away, carried everything with care and nothing was thrown away. Knowing that these items would get a chance to be sold or giving or used by others that my dad worked so hard for and not just wasted and rot in a landfill made me smile knowing my dad would be so pleased. Kell said we just need 1.5-2 hours max. At 2 hours and 10 minutes, this huge truck was busting at the seams!! Like i said, 2 sheds were empty, the 3rd had probably about a little less than 1/2 of the super bulky and heavy items. What was left is super easy for us to finish up and feels doable. I can't say enough about how hard these two worked, their professionalism, quickness and efficiency! We would be pleased to be able to use them again! TOP NOTCH FELLAS!! Crystal Kidd

What should have…read morebeen a straightforward one-day move turned into an absolute nightmare of broken promises, surprise charges, and a stunning lack of accountability. We were quoted $3,400 for a one-day move with two large trucks and a four-man crew--based on an in-person walk-through. Instead, they showed up with one truck and only two movers, who then had to call their management for help. Later, a 3rd person arrived with a small truck. Because of the company's inadequate resources--not ours--the job dragged into a second day. When I was notified of this by management mid-move, I clearly stated that this was unacceptable and that no additional charges would be tolerated. At the end of Day 1, they charged us $5,300--nearly $2K over the estimate. On Day 2, the crew abandoned the job and left behind multiple clearly labeled items. We were forced to rent a U-Haul and finish the move ourselves--at our own expense. Then came the final blow: they charged our credit card an additional $1,300 without authorization, notice, or explanation. When we repeatedly contacted management to resolve the issue, they dismissed our concerns. Their only excuse? "The estimate was off." The gap between the estimate and the final price is staggering. Is this incompetence--or is it their business model? Two Men and A Truck overpromises, underdelivers, and then CHARGES YOU FOR THEIR MISTAKES. Unless you're prepared to pay double what you were quoted, stay far away.

You see the gas station around the corner from my house was out of gas as was another one on my way to work on Wendover. Finally I get to Sam's Club and get ready to fill up only to find out that as of three months ago you have to be a member to use their pumps. Well I got back in my car knowing that Great Stops is the next gas station on the way. For the first time in my life I ran out of gas in the middle lane on Wendover Avenue. I got out to push to the side and another driver finally stopped to help as did the 2 gentlemen from "TWO MEN AND A TRUCK." They started pushing and I offered to swap when safe. So we start pushing like we're trying to make the NFL Combine! Driver gets my car right into the entrance of the gas station. By the time the other mover and I get there, two more folks have it to the pump. I fill up, bring them round to their truck, and off we all go to work. Talk about living up to your company name and motto! Well I hope not to have to use them in the future for any type of move whether it's my car or my home, if this is the attitude and helpfulness, I have to recommend them with five stars and I will be eternally grateful for them helping me to my safety.

Even if you label things clearly there isn't a mover on the planet that will follow the directions. Your only hope is that they are professional, nice, and willing to follow your instructions. I lucked out with this move. First, and I am NOT one of those who gets hung up on an accent, but it does help a great deal when the movers can speak English. Do not hate on me. I have nothing against immigrants. The more the merrier. But when you are moving your personal items from one location to another it helps when they understand. The two guys that showed up for my move shocked me at first. They were the thinest movers I have ever seen. I found myself worried for them as I had a lot of heavy items. The phrase "don't judge a book..." was thrown in my face as they were very tough and strong. They moved with a balletic precision. One took the upstairs, the other the downstairs (I felt bad for the upstairs guy as that's where the lions share was). Within 2 hours, the mess that was my apartment was cleaned out of boxes and furniture. This didn't mean they weren't careful, they were that professional. In between trips we all joked around keeping it light. When we got to VA, they were very quick with unloading the truck. This however is where they lost a star. There was quite a lot of stuff they brought that I had put to the side as I didn't need it. Additionally, they didn't put one of the pieces of furniture together correctly or follow my instructions on how I wanted it. It was a tiring and confusing day. Additionally, they must have left one of my pictures on the truck as it's missing. Same with my microwave that I kept bringing up. Oh well. Each move presents it's challenges and expenses. Speaking of expenses....this was the cheapest move to date. I was very happy with the final cost. All in all, they worked hard on a confusing move. I just wish they unwrapped some of the furniture before leaving!

We chose Safe & Sound because of the company's stellar Yelp reviews and its average Yelp rating when compared to other moving companies in the Triangle. Safe & Sound seemed like a safe bet and I'm happy to report that it was. We moved from a two-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom condo. We added on: (1) a stop to drop off furniture at my parents' house in High Point, North Carolina and (2) haul-away of some items in Atlanta. The total cost for everything was $4,075, broken down as follows: * 2 movers + equipment, loading in Chapel Hill (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * 2 movers + equipment, loading in Chapel Hill (0.5 hour, additional time required) - $77.50 * 2 movers + equipment, unloading in High Point (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * 2 movers + equipment, unloading in Atlanta (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * Deposit for travel and truck - $50 * Haul-away (junk removal) of double mattress, double box spring, bed frame, one standard dining room chair, and torchiere floor lamp - $125 * Remainder of balance for travel - $2,875 * Additional cost/payment - $182.50 * Tip for mover 1 - $150 * Tip for mover 2 - $150 A $485 total deposit was due upfront to secure the reservation. We asked for the movers to show up at a specific date and time. We paid the $485 total deposit 26 days in advance with a credit card. The rest ($3,590) was paid via multiple Zelle transactions after we arrived in Atlanta. In hindsight, I think I may have overpaid $50 because the $50 deposit for the travel and truck was included in our $485 total deposit. I believe that same $50 was included in the remainder of the balance for travel. In other words, I think the $2,875 above should have been $2,825, but I could be wrong. Also, in my stress and exhaustion from the move, I forgot what the additional cost/payment of $182.50 was for. It made sense at the time, when I signed the form ("Uniform Household Goods Bill of Lading - 35 Miles or Less") after the move was complete. I was just happy it was over and that my wife, the movers, and I all made it safely to Atlanta in three separate vehicles on moving day. I do think all of the costs could have been communicated more clearly in writing for our understanding. Money aside, as for the move itself, it generally went well. We scheduled a 9:00-10:00am arrival window for the movers. This was on a Wednesday. We were packed and ready to go at 9am. Unfortunately, the movers were delayed and showed up around 10:45am. They arrived in a 26-foot white Penske truck. It's my understanding they rented it that morning. While it was overkill for the amount of stuff we had, I believe it was the best available truck at the time. It looked new. The movers were Hamza (lead) and Sula. They were great. Very kind and polite. These were young guys in their early 20s. They both wore Safe & Sound T-shirts. They worked hard, quickly and carefully wrapping and protecting our queen mattress and furniture with stretch wrap and blankets, and moving all sorts of heavy boxes and miscellaneous items (e.g., my awkward and heavy standing desk system, computer monitor, office chair mat, torchiere floor lamp, vacuum cleaner) from our third-floor apartment with no elevator on a hot summer day. At the loading site, we treated them to cold Gatorades. It took them about 1.5 hours to do the load in Chapel Hill. We left Chapel Hill around roughly 12:30pm. Hamza ran the show. We made it clear which items were to be dropped off first in High Point and which items were going all the way to Atlanta. No issues there. My parents were very happy with Hamza and Sula's work at the unload in High Point. The two made it to Atlanta around 10:00pm and the unload in Atlanta took less than an hour. Long day. My wife and I made it to Atlanta earlier - around 7:30pm. Unlike Hamza and Sula, we did not stop in High Point. We wanted to get to Atlanta before them so we could get the condo ready for the unload. It worked out. Hamza told me they were going to try and drive back to Raleigh/Cary that night! Only one of our items, a shoe rack, was damaged. All things considered, not a big deal so I didn't bring it up. I can remember three other moves I did with three other moving companies and one item was damaged in each move. It happens. For the haul-away, I only mentioned the mattress and box spring. I added on the other items when I saw them in Atlanta. They didn't charge me extra for that, which I appreciate and must mention here. I sent the tips directly and individually to Hamza and Sula for a job well done. As for scheduling and payment, my wife and I communicated with Jaber (a.k.a. Omar), the owner of Safe & Sound Moving Company. Jaber was on top of everything and quick to respond via Yelp messaging, text messaging, and phone calls. Thank you, Jaber, Hamza, and Sula!
