Chris & Matt were very easy to work with. In advance of having our hardwood floors refinished and the interior of our house painted, they moved all furniture. Everything had to come off the wood floors from kitchen, breakfast area, dining room, living room, hallway etc. They also moved furniture away from walls in other rooms so trim could be cleaned and then painted. Both men were very conscientous of our belongings and treated them with great care. All furniture, refrigerator and gas stove were carefully placed in our garage. As serious as they were with moving carefully and quickly they both have a friendly & approachable demeanor. Answering questions and keeping it light made for an enjoyable experience. I look forward to having them back to move us back in and would easily recommend them for your upcoming move, whether that's to the garage, across town or across the country. read more

The two guys who came to help move were really nice and quick with moving my items. They started on the job right away and they finished loading up the truck and unpacking at my new place in about 4 hours. The only bad thing I would have to say is that they had moved the trash bins of my new neighbors (it was trash collection day) so they could park the truck optimally but they did not move the bins back. Their trash did not get pick up because of this. This definitely did not put me in a good first impression with my new neighbors. If I had known I would have placed it back, but I hope they keep this in mind for their future clients to put things back where they were. If my roommate was not already on good terms with my new neighbors, things probably would have started off on the wrong foot with them. I had chosen this company due to their competitive pricing and good reviews. So although they were a really good company with good prices, this one thing was big enough to cause my review to lower since my new roommate asked me specifically to review after this occurred. read more

I'd thought it would be just as good the second time - especially since the owner came but they damaged one of my items (it was the owner's fault) for attempting to take a short cut. I am giving four stars for what I know. While I did not use What's The Move for their services, I will absolutely say that it was a comfort knowing that they were available. Moving is a stress filled and uncertain time, I did not think I'd find someone as the time got closer to moving day, and coordination of helpers was very fluid within my life. I reached out to What's the Move via Yelp and they were exceptionally responsive. I also liked the fact that their bid was very competitive and had some flex due to my own needs and that the follow up (because it is nuts when the time gets closer) was superlative. I cannot review the quality of moving on the day because I did not use them, but I absolutely can say that the responsiveness gave me great comfort during the stressful time, and they are going to be in my contacts list for future moves. read more

Hired WTM for an "unloading" of a truck packed in a different state (by a different company). Many of my items were damaged on arrival, and Chris and Raf made sure to show me each item and allow me to take photos of them in the truck - so that I would have them for an insurance claim. (To be clear, NONE of the damage was caused by WTM). Both gentlemen were very friendly and courteous. I have to say, even with my damaged stuff, I had a pretty enjoyable moving day joking around with them. After seeing such good reviews here for this company, I was excited to hire them to help with both our move and with packing. The day of the move, we were contacted and told that they needed to shift our move time back to the afternoon due to staffing issues. Over the course of that day, I had to call for updates several times, even though they had promised to keep me updated. We finally ended up rescheduling for two days later. While I understand staffing issues are often out of a business's control, I would have preferred better communication around what was going on. They did show up on time on Sunday, however, the promised assistance with packing was almost non-existent. My disabled roommate and I had packed up half the apartment on the original day while we waited for them to show up. They only packed a handful of boxes on the actual day of the move, and we ended up having to pack the rest. Also, they quoted us, for the size of our apartment, 4-6 hours to move. It took them 12 hours to move us. 8 of those hours were just packing the truck at our old apartment. In the end, even with a small discount for the need to reschedule, the move ended up costing us double what we were quoted, and they did not even take every thing in our old apartment. We expected to pay the amount we did with the added hours to assist with packing. We did not expect the move to take anywhere near as long as it did. We also ended up having to go back and finish the move ourselves, moving approx. 4 car loads worth out ourselves. Again, my roommate is disabled. I will say, however, that the employees themselves did a great job. Nothing was broken, and they even moved a few large items of furniture out of our new house and into the garage for us, which we greatly appreciated. read more
