My project was immediately responded to and they were able to help me move two weeks later on their soonest available date. The three movers, Pat, Renaldo, and Kevin were incredible. Communication leading up to the move and theday of was great. They were able to move all my large furniture within 2 hours. Everything was wrapped carefully and efficiently. They were kind and thoughtful, helping me make adjustments to the furniture layout once we got to the destination. Their positivity through one of the hardest situations I've ever gone through was much-needed and made me feel confident in entering this next chapter. I even had a last minute change to the destination (originally everything was going into storage but I ended up finding an apartment just in time), and the professionalism and patience from the entire Bookstore team through this change was excellent. Pricing was reasonable yet again and came out to about $500 (excluding tip) for the truck fee and moving of 16 large items. Thank you Bookstore Movers for helping me when I needed it most!

We were disappointed with our recent experience with Bookstore Movers. The crew was polite, but the…read moremove felt much slower and less efficient than it should have been. We had a dedicated elevator, yet workers often brought items down only one or two at a time. I also saw team members on their phones or standing around in rooms and hallways instead of actively moving things. These delays added up quickly. The crew also misplaced parts of our bed frame, and the pieces had to be found before it could be reassembled. That alone added nearly an hour to the move. Because the move took much longer than expected, the final cost was significantly higher than the estimate we received. We were also charged based on an arrival time that was recorded as ten minutes earlier than when the crew actually arrived. The team was courteous, but given the inefficiency, added time, and higher final price, we would not use Bookstore Movers again. This is unfortunate, because we had been happy with them in previous moves.

We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

Stay away!! Where do…read moreI start? When I signed up for a locker I was told my rent would start on the 1st of each month. When I went to pay they insisted that I would lose my locker if I didn't pay on the day I was there making my rent due on the 20th instead of the 1st which caused me to be late monthly. THEN after about a year, I went there to pick up an item and found that the lock hasp had been hack-sawed. I contacted the management and they informed me that it was like that when I moved in - IT WAS NOT. I went back the following week, more saw marks, dents in the door and the hasp had been pried and actually had pulled one of the bolts through the metal. STILL nothing was done. I purchased a new hasp on my own from an online distributor and got the wrong one so I had to purchase another ($40 total for both). Now the door only opens 1/2 way because I had to put large washers on to hold the hasp in place. On to the next rant...Elevator was out of service for close to a year. They'd like you to believe that there are security cameras BUT they are only located at the elevators giving crooks plenty of time to saw your hasp off. Did I mention that there are people living in the storage units? There was an occasion I went to get a few items and a woman was doing her laundry in the restroom AND using 2 carts. I said something about it to the attendant who told me that as long as her cube was paid that there was nothing he could do. There's very little lighting in the unit, so I brought in a drop light so I could see what I was doing while getting things out. Recently the decided to remove all the outlets so now I have to use a flashlight. There seldom are carts available so if you need a cart, bring your own. The only good thing I can say is the staff are polite and professional.

We booked with this location of CubeSmart looking to store some things for the summer. Next, we repeatedly found ourselves waiting for staff more than once. The day we checked in, we waited for a staff member to return from lunch for over 45 minutes. The following day, we returned with a moving crew and waited over 30 minutes for the building itself to open. We arrived at 10, and left at 10:45, while the building was meant to open at 9:30. All this being said fails even to mention that the facility itself is nowhere near as clean as nearby competitors and we were shocked to find our unit with preexisting trash in it. Oddly, I called the corporate office which insisted there was no Public Storage facility at 2600 N Charles -- I repeated several times that I was standing outside its office door. After a few minutes, the representative "found it," but didn't apologize for the delay, the hassle, or her own confusion. Of course, I'll seek storage elsewhere -- how can my stuff be secure when the facility and corporate are so confused and flakey?
