Express Towing and Recovery - This should explain it. Why wouldn't they be or are? - Towing Near Me - Orem, Utah

I can't believe how incredibly rude and heartless the owner Brody is. I was there at 5pm on Friday to pick up my car and because I got there at 5 he charged me an extra $75 for the "after hours fee," so for a tow and storage for not even 24 hours was $511. He was so rude about the whole thing and I can't believe he doesn't care about anything but making money. It's like he knows he's dealing with people who are already struggling and sees it as a perfect opportunity to kick someone while they're down! I hope karma gets him! read more

They were not helpful in any matter of communication. Would not allow us to take anything out of the vehicle without paying the $600 tow fee for very few miles, and 5 days of storage. 2 of which where the weekend where we could actually come get the car, but they said they were closed. Fortunately Dynamic Collision Repair was able to get our car out. I suggest that if you get towed by them, get your car out ASAP and go somewhere else. read more

They towed my car after it had been there for an hour. I was just trying to visit my sister. They charged me $350 just to tow my car a few miles away. They are predatory. Also gave me wrong address as well. 0/5 stars if I could give it I also don't care if it's buisness ect most places give out boots or tickets not just straight up tow people so you guys suck and are predatory for money with "parkway Lofts" screw people trying to vist but can't cause theres not enough parking read more

Highly unprofessional and unethical towing company. Incredibly rude & dismissive general manager "Cody" --if that's even his real name. We were forced to use them after a car accident since they are on the police rotation list. Never, ever use them. I tried to discuss the situation and the alleged manager wouldn't let me talk, talked over me, spoke in circles and was verbally aggressive. Despite me telling him I wasn't angry & would like to calmly discuss the situation he became more and more angry and dismissive. In my opinion: this company is twisting Utah Code Section 72-9-603 to hold hostage personal items in vehicles for their gain; they are in violation of Utah Administrative Rule R909-19 which governs towing ethics; and they are in breach of the Police Rotation Contract. They're either too stupid to have intelligent conversation or they're just absolutely unethical, vile human beings. In my opinion, it's both. The police shouldn't use them & insurance companies need to take them off their lists. One of their locations is 1469 W. Center St in Orem. read more

Express Towing and Recovery - one of their locations is 1469 W. Center St. in Orem. They don't put locations on their business cards. - Towing Near Me - Orem, Utah

Zero stars stay far away. Worst most evil people ever. They have 3 different towing companies under the same location probably because they don't want you to be able to leave them a review. The other names are Express Towing and recovery and Knights Parking Enforcement. Do NOT call them if you need a tow. They are predatory do not give them business. We had a broken down car that literally was in the parking lot for not even 4 hours we had a mobile repair service coming to fix it and these scumbags came and towed our car. Charged nearly 500$ we explained the situation and they have no heart or soul because this is how they make their money. They didn't have any signs that we could see saying you couldn't park there. Predatory scamming scumbags. They deserve a special place in you know where. The guys left whistling. I hope they sleep well at night making a living off this. read more

My car was illegal towed from my apartment complex with them. Luckily I had enough evidence to show they were responsible to bring it back and not for me to pick it up. No notification of the towing even came to me until I had to to go to a follow up doctor's appointment for my pneumonia and I noticed it was gone. Missed my doctor's appointment for pneumonia checkup that cost me over $100. I did get my car back free and delived and HOPEFULLY not damaged. The most disgusting thing was my apartment ( Parkway Lofts) was in on it too. Just moved there. Definitely first strike. I absolutely refused to pay anything to them as they told me during move-in everything I did was okay to do.. Pure scam they have going with the apartment as the lady from the apartment did confirm over the phone that I could park there. Missed an important appointment and lost $100 dollars. Still thinking of taking them to small claims court out of principle. Do not really care about the $100 as long as they loose and know I had to wait 4 more days for another appointment coughing my head off. Did talk to Orem Police dispatch who even suggested an ambulance and to see about having the towing and apartment complex cover it. read more

towing companies are literally the scum of the earth, this one included. dude was a douche after I had emergency surgery and my boyfriend accidentally parked my car and it got towed. complete jerk, and the charge to get it back was insane. have fun ruining peoples day. Update- the idiot worker followed my boyfriend out of the parking lot, tailgated him, cut him, break checked, and even filmed him driving! truly insane behavior, dude deserves to be fired read more

Towed a total of three times, each time was worse than the last time in terms of professionalism and reasoning. The first tow was fair, I parked my car in a 24hr zone for longer than 24 hours, that's fair. The second tow I parked my car in a permit parking spot. I have a permit sticker. They towed my car because the permit had tape on it. And they defended that it was fake because of that up until I ripped it off my windshield and handed it to them. They also damaged my wheel and tire, but haven't taken responsibility for that yet. The third tow I parked my car in visitor parking at my apartment for a single hour, because I really needed to take a dump, and there were no spots for a quarter mile. They towed my car "because you have a parking permit and should've just parked in a designated spot." -$300 because I paid for parking :) read more

First they towed my vehicle that was legally and properly parked without my permission. When my wife went to retrieve it, the proprietor wanted payment for a tow that was not needed, not requested and for which we had no agreement, implied or expressed. When pressed on these claims the owner was rude to me and wife and would not respond to our questions. His only communication was a persistent request to move the vehicle that he had dropped in order to make room for more. This guy is unethical and gives the appearance of a predatory towing operation. read more

HORRIBLE costumer service. I understand no one's happy to have their car towed but c'mon no need to be a jerk about it. They need to have better customer service and as well as provide more information on their business card. read more

https://www.udot.utah.gov/connect/business/motor-carriers/tow-trucks/ Contact the above link to get them off of the tow rotation list (look for the tow complaint link) !!! Ditto to all of the negative reviews-these guys are the most dishonest, rude, GREEDY, predatory tow company. They would not let us retrieve our personal belongings from our vehicle after an accident not to mention keeping our vehicle in their lot (ignoring the calls from the insurance company to release it) so that they could rack up a bunch of storage fees at our expense!!! They would not even disclose the location of where they were keeping our vehicle hostage. they took forever to show up to the lot after making an appointment to get my car out of the lot. didn't answer out phone calls, they don't have anyone at the lot on duty to get ur car out you have to wait for someone to be available. then they had lots of attitude and they were not helpful at all and they were so clueless. worst company in all of utah. do not use this towing company. read more

Zane is a complete piece of garbage. He took an hr to show up and get my car out from being wrongfully towed then charged me a ridiculous amount for towing it less than a mile away. Pray to God your car never ends up here. I was in a serious accident and Orem Police happened to call them. -Couldn't pick up my things on a weekend. -Very inflexible hours and had to have an appointment to pick my things up. -They can't even commit to those appointments so you need to be at least 10 minutes early and be ready to wait 30. -Had to deal with the rudest staff I've ever experienced. This place is not good. Hopefully Orem stops calling them. read more

as always these guys are complete assholes and only care about how deep their pockets can get. was straight up told "as far as i'm concerned that car doesn't have a permit so good luck w the dispute" as my 4 month old is screaming and shivering in the fucking cold. Whoever runs this company deseveres every awful things that happens to them. How are people comfortable going to bed at night knowing they just treated someone the way I was treated? Terrible service and I wish nothing but the absolute worse for everyone apart of this company. read more

It was raining, my wife was doing 30 in 35 at 8:30 at night when one of the so called professional drivers came up behind her and flashed his lights at her then proceeded to go around her and brake check her. Then turned his rear flood lights on and left them on. While the unprofessional clown is towing a vehicle non the less. I called and he lied about being dispatch and that he had reviewed the dash cam footage hahaha then later admitted he was the driver and called me and my wife a bunch of names then hung up. Unprofessional, dangerous and I'll mannered to say the least. The wreckless unprofessional tool has no business in a commercial vehicle. read more

The experience with this company was not good. Dealt with someone named Bodey who was not truthful and aggressively rude about several things when asked questions. Also we were overcharged per what the state legal tow amounts allow (charged over $320 when the state allows $274). There was damage to the car. Just so many things wrong and the local and state municipalities have this company on their certified tow list! In fact, they just renewed the certification from September 2023 to September 2025 even though it appears that several consumers have brought issues forward. read more

horrible company. driver who met us and answered the phone was very rude. the location for pick up was very dark with no lights and was just me and my daughter out in the middle of nowhere. On phone he said yeah you will just have to wait in the dark as he arrived 15 mins later than what he had told us and no feeling or compassion. thankfully our uber driver said he would wait with us and we could stay in the car. truly been the worst day. i had all my reasons for why i parked where i did and there weren't signs i could see when i pulled into the lot where i parked. It didn't matter. he didn't care 387 dollars to get our car back :( but the rudeness of this guy was just awful for something already so upsetting. read more

We all need to band together and get this company off the police's call rotation. it's obvious they are not trustworthy enough and are overall not a good business. The manager I spoke with actually hung up on me which has happened multiple times if you look at previous reviews. This whole company top to bottom need to investigated about their relationship with the police. They seem very entitled and confident that orem police is on their side. I will be on the sidewalk in public domain holding my "Express Tow has got to Go" sign if anyone wants to join. I'm there most late afternoons into evening. They dId not like that so they harassed me and made me move my car claiming it was private property even though it wasn't their private prop and nobody complained. they are bullies and they will soon find out we or I do not back down to bullies. it just makes me dig in even harder. read more

My car was towed at my apartment complex where I pay for parking every month! My parking permit is a little broken on one side and I'm guessing it fell off because when I went out to the parking lot to drive to work, my car was gone. I ended up getting an uber to the towing place and I explained what had happened and even showed the guy my parking permit and he still made me pay $325!!! There were so many random fees on the receipt including gas (for what??). The place was only 3 mins from my apartment. I am extremely disappointed that I had to pay $325 for parking that I already pay $720 a year for!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

My car was towed from a lot at 9pm. I called at 10, was told to meet the driver at the specified location in 30 minutes. 45 minutes later, they showed up. $310 later, I get my car. Then I notice the damage just in front of the rear tire on the driver's side. "I'll have my manager call you tomorrow." No call. I had to call them and they accused me of damaging my car. My insurance company is getting involved. These clowns don't even take care of your property and won't fess up to damaging your car. This company is shady and should not be dealt with in any positive light. Even the apartment complex that contracts them out has received complaints about this company. read more

Pure predatory towing. Visiting my brand new grandson. Parked at their apartments. Went inside after dinner and 45 minutes later my car was towed while parking in a visitors spot. They literally dropped it off at their yard about a mile away from where it was picked up. Charged me a storage fee of $40 , it was there for 30 minutes while I waited for these 2 losers. Also charged me $59 dollars for fuel charge. Once again the lot was 1 mile away from where they picked it up. Total cost of $325. Pure predatory. They literally drive around complexes. this company is the absolute worse and I'm not sure how they are still in business they are very crooked and will rip you off and over charge and are extremely rude and unprofessional to work with , they don't even have an actual office you have to wait outside the yard for them until they decide to show up this can probably be why they don't show up on google because they know how shitty they are and how they would be aired of their shitty reputation read more

We got towed! My husband moved his truck to the street yesterday to help get my 83 year old mother into a car in our driveway. He forgot to move it back and we got towed! I hope no one else has to deal with Express Towing. I can't imagine a worse experience. I called this morning to get information to retrieve my vehicle. I was provided with the address and told to bring $251 cash. I was told he would meet me at the lot at 8:30am. He arrived at 8:44am and he knew I was in a hurry. This made him move even slower. I asked for his name and he wouldn't give it to me. He was incredibly rude and condescending. At one point he even pushed me away from his truck. No one should be treated this way. read more

My daughter's car was towed from in front of our home in Vineyard, UT. It was our mistake and we were willing to pay the fee. My husband called as soon as we discovered the issue to get the cost of being able to get the car out of car jail. He was told it was one price if we paid cash and then a different price if we paid with a credit card. He wrote the amount down. Once we were able to actually meet up with a driver at the lot, we were told someone would be at the lot at 8:30 they didn't show until 9, we were told that the amount was $10 more than what was quoted over the phone. It was a different guy than who my husband had initially talked to and he wouldn't contact or let us contact the original guy. Just kept insisting we were wrong and that it was only 10 bucks and we should just pay it. We ended up paying it because, we had too. Not a good company to work with. They driver we meet up with was just uncaring. Express Towing is awful. read more
