Quite possibly the worst business I have ever dealt with. I've never written a Google review before, but the negligence, lack of communication, and incompetence here were so extreme that I feel obligated to warn others. I brought my car in after a minor accident to repair a few scratches. My insurance issued payment the first day they had my vehicle. Despite this, they claimed they hadn't received the check and delayed starting work for two weeks -- even though my insurance agent confirmed it had been cashed just days after it was sent. After finally beginning the repair, it took another two weeks to complete what should have been a simple job. A full month later, with virtually no communication, my car was finally ready for pickup. When we arrived, an employee discreetly attempted to charge the battery before handing the car over. What they failed to disclose was that they had completely drained it. The car drove home, but the next day it would not start and displayed a major system warning -- issues that never existed prior to bringing it in. I reached out multiple times with photos and received no response. However, they had no problem repeatedly texting me asking for a review. To make matters worse, my car now has scratches that were not there before, my personal air freshener was thrown away and replaced with a cheap promotional one, and the interior was returned dirty. It's also concerning that while their Google rating appears high, their Yelp rating sits around three stars. Given my experience -- and even a local AutoZone employee mentioning that customers frequently come in after issues with this shop -- it makes you question the consistency of those positive reviews. Highly do NOT recommend using them for ANYTHING you don't want broken or returned to you in worse condition! Here are the details of our first and LAST experience with AF Collision. Our Toyota Sequoia was backed into from an uninsured driver. He said he would pay cash for damages out-of-pocket so we didn't have to get insurance involved and to let us know where to take it. The other driver had used AF Collision in the past, and recent reviews were positive. They could get us in the soonest (possibly a red flag) and after looking at their reviews online, along with the other shops, (all seemed to have a similar rating) so it seemed like comparable service. During the whole process I had to call into the shop regularly to get any kind of update on things. They never called me once to tell me what was going on. When my wife went in to pick it up the first problem was the car wouldn't even start. They had drained the battery down from leaving the doors open and didn't charge it back up. Even worse, the windshield was completely cracked. My wife noticed a large crack in the windshield running the entire length of it. My wife asked Camille what happened to the windshield and where did the crack come from and Camille stated she didn't even know it was there. WTH! Upon pointing out this wasn't there when we brought it into the shop Camille pulled up the pictures the shop took when we brought it in. The final picture was the car being cleaned and Camille stated there is the crack, at which time my wife pointed out that was a picture from today. She stated this was nothing they would have done in the process of fixing the car and it must've been from the accident. We had to call and talk to the tow company and they had 12 pictures of the car before and after they had towed it down to the shop. Several of the pictures the tow truck had taken showed the windshield very clearly and that there was no crack at all when we dropped it off. It is clear from the pictures (even though the windshield had snow on half of it) that there wasn't a crack in it when the tow company dropped it off to get fixed. I went in and pulled the pictures up and explained the situation and they agreed to fix it. Camille stated that it must've been something they caused and that they would have it fixed within a day. I got a call at work around 4:00 later that day from Camille and she said based on what they can tell, it was from a rock chip that caused it so they would not be fixing it. She said I could talk to the owner, Ken Murdock, about it if I wanted to. I said absolutely so she brought him on the line. I explained the situation again and said I have pictures showing there was not a single crack in the windshield before we brought it in. Ken said there was no way his guys would have done that and he is not going to replace the windshield. He said it was from the windshield going from hot to cold while it sat on the lot for the last 4 weeks. Not only that, he said it was my fault for not maintaining my car and getting a rock chip fixed so I was the one being negligent. I again reiterated that I have pictures showing there was not a crack when I brought it in and now there is a massive crack across the entire windshield. I also have a recording of Camille saying it was their responsibility and fault, and that they would get it fixed when I spoke to her that morning. He could have cared less about looking into this further or trying to help. Not only would he not correct the problem he was responsible for, he told me it was my fault. He said the same thing when I told him they drained my battery completely down so it wouldn't start. He again said I was at fault for not maintaining my battery and cleaning it off. He said it was so corroded around the terminals that it would not hold a charge. I have attached images here to show all of the "corrosion" around the battery. This place will not only break things while trying to "fix your car", they will blame you for your "negligence" and refuse to fix it. read more

I've had AF Collision do two insurance repairs on my half-ton pickup for me, one involved substantial body work, the other was to replace the bumper and supporting components. Both repairs were high quality, and both were accompanied by friendly service, plenty of communication, and topped off with interior and exterior detailing. There are larger and more posh shops around town to be sure, but I prefer to support small businesses that are owned and operated by honest, caring, down-to-earth people. That's AF Collision. The larger repair extended over the weekend and I needed my truck for some hauling, so the owner let me -- a complete stranger -- borrow his! That's what I'm talking about. read more

Awful experience, right off the bat, went in to a dirty, disgusting office, with dogs nipping my ankles. Customer service was a nightmare. I brought my car in on a Friday, they said we would have it Tuesday. Called Monday for an update, they said Thursday, called Thursday and they said the following Wednesday. Actually got my car the next Friday. They NEVER called me with an update, and made repairs they never even spoke to me about. DISASTER, avoid at all cost. I have had body work done before on other cars, and I was well informed and prompt repairs. read more

Although the did a good job on the repairs of my car, it took them forever to finish it, and i think that there are many other repair places out there that would have repaired the car just as well. I took my car in on a Monday morning they said it would be finished by Thursday of the same week. When Thursday rolled around i called to see what time i should pick it up. They said it wouldn't be done till Friday. So i called them on Friday and they said it wouldn't be done till Monday. Long story short, it wasn't finished till Wednesday. Don't use AF collision repair unless you want the repairs of your car to take FOREVER. read more

This placed stunk to say the least. There was a nice gentleman that was washing a car that they asked to help me with something. But other than that my car was not repaired well I had to take it back several times an it is still not right. The owner is rude. It made me feel like all he cares about was getting paid. read more

Very happy with our experience there. We received a quick, accurate estimate on our car and they caveated any possible additional charges before they began work. The very best place in American Fork to have fix your car. Very good customer service and all that I met there were super. Car was done before I expected, worked great with the car insurance and ever cleaned my car inside and out. Also left a few treats in my front seat. Highly recommend. read more
