Horrible communication and the process was not thought through. I flew in from Australia and had no US phone available. I had sent an email requesting instructions before I left, and they said to contact the folks at the Super Shuttle kiosk who would contact my driver for pickup. The folks at Super Shuttle refused saying it wasn't their job... I finally had a reply on the email 2 days after which was an hour after my scheduled pickup...it said to ring when I arrived. In other words, they obviously hadn't even read the email as this was the entire problem. I was finally able to borrow a phone from someone at the terminal, and the dispatch operator put me on hole for over 5 minutes while he went to "check something". Meantime the guy who owned the phone and I both looked uneasy as he had to go... Never again... read more

It would've been better to save me the trouble of calling a number and getting orders from a rude agent when im already exhuasted and on the edge after a long flight and instead have someone wait for me at an agreed terminal at the flight arrival time that i already provided beforehand! They don't wanna lose time and hence money by having someone wait for me? What about my time? Specially that I paid top money for this service? Add to that the fact that i had to lug a carseat simply because non of their cars carry that not the basic van or even the suv that i took to the airport! Made me feel like i was made a favor by execucar instead of getting what i paid for. Driver was good but the company's policy is pathetic. I wont recommend this service to anyone. read more

I reserved roundtrip transportation from LAX to the Long Beach Cruise Terminal. The price was ubeatable for a private van with direct service. Communication was excellent - received a text alert 10-min before the plane landed, that our driver was waiting in the holding lot and we were on the road within 5-min of collecting our luggage. On the return trip, our driver wasn't shceduled to pickup until 9:00a, however, we disembarked the ship sooner than expected, so I called at 6:00a to request an earlier pickup. The Customer Service Rep could not help, but sent the request to dispatch, and by 7:00a, the driver called to say she was there to pick us up. :) THE GOOD On both trips, the drivers were punctual, friendly and had good communication. The price is unbeatable. THE NOT-SO GOOD On both trips, the drivers had trouble navigating the entrance to the Cruise Terminal. As an advertised service from LAX, perhaps every driver should take a dry-run and familiarize themself with the terminal signage and protocol. Despite the daunting reviews by others, I would use this service again - and hope to get the same drivers. read more

We had a flight out of LAX we were supposed to be picked up at 5:05 am at 5am I get a call saying that they were short on drivers and they were sending a taxi.At 5:30 still no car at 5:45 still no car, I kept calling them and when they did decide to pick up the damn phone they said they couldn't give me a time! Our flight leaves at 8:15 and I finally took it upon my self to call an Uber. They sent a taxi at 6:30 if I waited for them we wouldn't have made it! Even with a Uber picking us up at 6:00 we had ten minutes to make it through security! They started our trip off very bad. Do yourself a favor and don't use this terrible company. It just causes un needed stress. If I could have given them a minus score I would have. read more

I'm not sure this bad review should be directed to execucar or to jayride or super shuttle, because in the process of booking for what I thought was an execucar transport, I was contacted by jayride and/or super shuttle to confirm the booking and pick up location. I figured that perhaps these are companies that help execucar manage bookings? I'm not entirely certain but the customer service experience was terrible and I would never recommend dealing with either of these companies again if you can avoid it. I left the following feedback on their customer feedback form but thought I would also make this public. Hopefully this helps execucar create a better experience too: Your customer service is terrible, the call wait times are really long (20 minutes+) and your representative was rude and said that there was an option to book a meet and greet and that was a separate fee but I checked all over the website when I booked it before and there was no such option. I would never recommend your services to anyone again because your service model clearly is a scam and a remnant of a highly uncompetitive industry designed to trick consumers and international travelers. read more

In short, I booked a ride, I didn't get the ride, and I haven't gotten a refund. The driver took awhile to arrive at the airport and when he got there, he would not drive me home because I was traveling with my dog (a small, clean, well-behaved dog who is use to traveling on my lap and has service papers from the airport)--even though I informed the company I was traveling with my dog in the reservation notes! When I called the dispatcher, they weren't able to send another car, leaving me stranded and without a refund. read more

Booked travel to and from LAX. For the ride to the airport the driver was over 20 minutes late to pick us up. On the way to the airport the driver drove erratically and at times was going 100mph! My husband had to tell him to slow down! On the return, we arrived to LAX after a 13 hour flight and called the number we were given so the driver could pick us up. After being on hold for 30 minutes the person informed us that they "had no driver available" and we should "take a taxi". Are you kidding me? They were quick to take our money but this is unacceptable! Never again. read more

I was wowed by their customer service. My original driver could not get us due to some issues at the airport. I flagged another of their drivers down who had just dropped off a passenger. He called dispatch and asked them to assign my trip to him so he could get me and my family home. This same driver just came to my house and helped drop off my kids backpack that we forgot in his van yesterday. Thank you so much for everything. read more

Very very poor service. We prepaid ahead of time for private van to LAX -no problem with the first leg of our trip. Once we came back to LAX at the end of our trip , ExecuCar kept us waiting for over an hour - I called 3 times asking about our ride - 'oh they are coming' was the response I kept hearing. And their employees at check in with SuperShuttle were also less than helpful - told is to call ourselves and wouldn't give us the time of day. Next time we will Uber home - we were going to do this originally but concerned with the new LAX guidelines and getting to the lot. Very very poor service for an airport transportation service - I highly discourage anyone from using this company!! read more

A big fat 0 stars! Both drivers did not show up for pick up from home and pick up from LAX. I was on hold to call for pick up for over 40 minutes at LAX. It makes no sense to make reservations and pre-pay for a service that is unreliable. This is unacceptable!! I received no contact about the driver not showing up. My stress level was elevated and my family and kids were also affected! Because of their incompetence, they told me to go to the taxi stand and take a yellow cab which they'd reimburse. One of the yellow cab drivers who brought us home wasn't receiving confirmation of payment. I had to keep calling Execucar to make sure the driver got paid. I shouldn't have to do THEIR work! I demand a refund for the services I didn't receive!! I will NEVER use this service again!! EVER!! read more

I can see why the ranking is so low! I had a reservation tonight and when I called the dispatcher had stepped out. They said they would call back in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later I received a call for them to tell me they didn't have a car for me. What's a reservation for? Not great a experience at midnight! read more

We used Exeucar for two trips to LAX from Orange County that went well. The third time we booked, was the problem. Instead of the usual clean and on time driver, we got a yellow cab that was filthy dirty inside and smelled of stale cigarettes and he was late picking us up! The driver was nice and efficient enough, but looked like he just rolled out of bed in clothes that he had worn for a year! The whole 1 hour ride he bad mouthed Uber & Lyft drivers. The clincher was when he said that if we had added our tip on through the internet when we booked, he wouldn't get it because he was a back up driver for them through the cab company & if we wanted to tip him, we'd have to give him cash. No Way! I smelled like a stale cigarette by the time we got to the airport. The pick up ride was cleaner although they were an hour and a half late picking up because they had lost/forgotten our reservation. Never again! I sent a message to the company who said they would have a rep follow up, but they never did! read more

This review is for ExecuCar Express. ExecuCar is the town car, ExecuCar Express is the minivan. They are all part of Supershuttle, owned by Veolia Transportation. For two recent trips we've used SuperShuttle's ExecuCar Express to get to and from LAX. It's like private car service except they use a nice Honda minivan instead of a Lincoln Town Car. Only $36 each way to LAX (from Culver City). More reliable and only a bit more expensive than a taxi. We call them when we get to baggage claim, and they tell me what van # to expect. They have our flight info already, so they are waiting nearby and know where to pick us up. Of course, if you get the regular car service (for more $) you can also opt for the in-airport pickup (for even more $). Things I like about this service: -Private (not shared) ride. -Phone call (automated message) when they're close, and they're punctual and courteous. -Prepaid. This means need for dealing with money when you're tired from a long day of travel (or have been out of the country) and just can't deal. You just get in and the nice people take you home. -They track your flight and time arrival to be ready out front when you are. read more

We usually schedule Super Shuttle for our round trip ride to LAX. When we were offered a private ExecuCar Express van for only $10 more each way, we decided to give it a try. After reading some reviews about difficulties on the return trip home, we were a little nervous. However, our experience was fantastic. To LAX, our driver arrived early, called us on arrival, was pleasant and a good driver. To home, we called ExecuCar when we walked out of baggage claim. Customer service was prompt and helpful. The driver arrived in about 2 minutes! Best ever, in our experience. He was also polite and we were home before we knew it. As another reviewer mentioned: --The vans were comfortable and clean. --Absolutely love the private ride. We have tired of the multiple stops that occur with shared vans. --The price is fair. --Prepaid, no worries. We will use them again. read more

I discovered upon checking in online for my flight that I'd apparently booked an earlier one than my usual, and I wasn't going to make a friend wake up before 6 to get me to the airport. I thought about SuperShuttle but then decided on the ExecuCarExpress option. I'm very glad I did. My driver arrived several minutes early, and I had an automated call to my cell to let me know he was there. He was friendly and courteous and waited for me to run back to my car to fish out my forgotten cell phone charger, and then away we went. The private mini-van was very clean and comfortable, the driver drove safely and well, and on top of that, relaxing spa-type music was playing (though I have no doubt if I'd objected he would have changed it). We had a great conversation on the drive (everything from tennis to Steely Dan to Ethiopian food), and I made it to the airport plenty early. I love that the whole thing is prepaid--no haggling with a taxi driver over whether he'll take a credit card or fumbling with my wallet. And all for a price that is no more than what a taxi would cost. Five star experience all the way. read more

If you want a service where the driver over sleeps and almost causes you to almost miss an early morning flight then go ahead and hire them. Never again. They suck. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. This service is horrible. The Execucar Express is what I have used 3 times and all 3 times have not been good experiences. The first time we actually had the private mini-van. Then 2nd and 3rd time they used a Super Shuttle van with passengers already in it instead - the dispatcher said they were really busy - sorry!. Inexcusable! Hopefully the ExecuCar is better - no experience with that. DO not use the ExecuCar Express. It is horrible! read more

Had prebooked an executive SUV for family of 5 with lots of bags to LAX. When driver didn't show up at the scheduled time, I called the company and was told our ride had been canceled due to no car available. We were given no notification whatsoever. We scrambled to call two Ubers and thankfully LAX traffic wasn't as bad as it can be, so we made our flights. Just called them back to try to get to the bottom of what happened and check the status of our prebooked return trip and was told they are canceling all service in the Burbank area (we live in Glendale) and our upcoming ride home from LAX has been canceled as well. Again, I've received no notification of that and wouldn't know unless I'd called. Terrible, terrible service. read more

Drivers are great and accommodating but dispatch and fheir process is a hot mess. Had a 4:20 am pick up. Called at 4:20 when there was no car and after several minutes he told me the driver had to stop and "check his tires". When the driver finally arrived he told me they had just pulled him out of bed! Then when I arrived back at lax for my return trip it was another junk show. I feel badly for the drivers because they are working hard to do what they can do but organizationally they need to get it together. Unfortunate because my first experience was great. read more

I booked online and received confirmations. I did receive text message with my driver name ( Rami ) and his phone #. I tried to call him multiple times no answer and his VM was not set to accept VM. I called the office it took 15 minutes to get someone to answer and I was told that they are not able to contact driver as he is not answering. I was placed on hold more than 20 minutes and call was rerouted to customer service. I had to call 3 times without any help. It took more than one hour to get another car. Waited over TWO HOURS. Had pre-booked to pick us up curbside at 9pm. Customer Service repeatedly lied to us. Driver was rude. Horrible experience. Strongly warn you not to use. read more

Had to wait for an hour and twenty minutes after calling for our prepaid, "scheduled" ride from the airport. Had to call 3 times and every time our ride was 15 minutes away. Was told that traffic was bad, but when they finally picked us up, there was no traffic on our drive from LAX to Newport coast. In fact, it took less time to drive to our destination than we spent standing on the curb watching other people being picked up. After the first call, my wife looked up on Uber and Lyft what the trip would cost. For the larger car option, Uber was $2 more than we paid and Lyft was $6 cheaper - and we wouldn't have to wait an hour and 20 minutes. I will never use Execucar again, nor do I recommend anyone else use them. read more

I booked a roundtrip to LAX and based on my experience, I would warn you to take this service. I can give you my reservation numbers and all my txt to the driver and distpatcher to back up my review. Service from LAx to Destination It is really a red flag. Transfer to LAX was really good on time and car was clean and dirver was very courteous. I arrive on time and no issues. On my return, from LAX to Riverside, It was really bad. Flight arrived at 12:55p since it is an international flight took me 45 min to get to customs. I was ready for pick up at 1:40. Driver showed up at 2:15 pm. I HAD TO WAIT 30 minutes. Driver was not waiting on the area for me as expected. Driver waas apologetic and indicated traffic, but, searching a bit about this company, all Drivers are subcontractors and they get 60% of the fare. company gets 40% for the booking. The company post all the fares every 4 hrs so drivers bet on the fares and the more fares the more money they make The company does not care about service since they get their fare anyway and the Driver probably does care, but wants to get as many fares as possible so they give too little time between pick up. end result you suffer and have to wait. DO NOT GET PICKED UP FROM THE AIRPORT MORE THAN LIKELY YOU WIL WAIT Be careful with your transfer to the airport. you can miss your flight if they are short on drivers. Pretty much distpatchers do not care at all. I would have them as my second or 3rd option. I would only use their service is it is a morning pick up since Drivers start their day and there are plenty of dirvers around read more

Booked (and paid in advance) ExecuCar pickup several weeks in advance for a pickup at LAX on Sept 28, after returning from a trip. They even texted me on the runway to let me know driver was in the holding lot, and to call when ready. I called after getting bags, he said he would be right there. I called again in 15 min, be right there. This went on several more times for 45 minutes, until I called dispatch and demanded either a new driver or a taxi (at their expense). Terrible, disappointing experience. I booked Execucar weeks prior and after a full travel day, I arrived at LAX. After calling dispatch, I was told that my driver "had had a flat tire," but I could take a private Supershuttle van. After waiting several minutes for the van, the Supershuttle dispatcher said that no vans were available after all, but I could take a yellow cab or a shared van. Both choices were unacceptable, and I ended up using UBER, which was still far more costly than the execucar would have been (they did say I'd get a refund, at least). I will never use Execucar again, as they are not trustworthy. read more

I don't know where to start. Terrible. Horrible. Never again. Without going into too much of the painful details, here are the reasons why I will not use this service again and why I do not recommend them: 1. Incompetent. Both drivers (used to/from airport) did not know functionalities of their cars. 2. Unsafe. Both drivers sped. One driver almost hit another car (other car driver honked for our driver to avoid hitting them). I guess I should have paid more attention to the fact that they don't much detail how they vet their drivers. 3. Late. One driver was 20 minutes late. He then rushed us, saying he had other customers. 4. Disrespectful. Both drivers were very rude and not helpful at all. 5. Not family friendly at all. Both drivers gave us so much grief about having a car seat for our child (even though they pick up families and I specified in advanced that we would need to install our car seat). 6. Call center was not helpful at all when issues arose. My takeaway: Use Uber or Lyft. I mostly use these services but thought I'd try ExecuCar considering I was traveling with family. BUT - ExecuCar made the experience extremely stressful. I won't be using them again. read more

If no stars were available to select, that'd be my rating. This company shouldn't be driving anything but clown cars. My flight arrived early at LAX and I saw a message from my driver, Elizabeth, that she was waiting in the lot for me to retrieve my luggage and call her. I retrieved my luggage and never heard from Elizabeth again. I contacted the dispatch who told me "we're trying to find someone to come out to LAX and pick you up...maybe Elizabeth got tired of waiting...drivers take what fares they want...we can't make them take a fare..." I booked an ExecuCar with Super Shuttle on March 7 for a trip on May 27. This is important, since I would like to point out how early in advance I made this reservation (82 days in advance!). When I arrived at LAX on May 27 at 10pm, I had no text from Super Shuttle confirming a car is on the way (this is the normal procedure for ExecuCars). I called the dispatcher and they seemed to only be sending a car at the time I called, which is already weird, but the dispatcher pointed out that there is a lot of traffic coming into the airport, so it may take a while. Then I waited for an hour outside of the terminal, and no car showed up. When I called again, the dispatcher angrily told me yet again that it is a holiday weekend (duh, that is why I booked this 82 days in advance!), lots of traffic at LAX, and no driver wants to take this order. So making a reservation in advance counts for nothing, since now no driver wants to come pick me up! When I told her to switch me to the shared ride, she said she could not do that either, then she put me on hold for 18 minutes. While I was on hold I was able to speak with the lady at the Super Shuttle counter there at the terminal, and she was kind enough to arrange a shared ride for me, which showed up within minutes and picked me up (despite traffic!). I was in the shared ride and well on the way home when the dispatcher finally got back to me on the phone after 18 minutes of being on hold, at which time I asked her to cancel my reservation. It took almost 4 hours to get home to Pasadena from LAX because of this. This was my third time booking ExecuCar, and while in all honesty I always had to wait quite a lot for this car to show up, what happened at this time is simply unacceptable. People booking these cars at LAX arrive late in the evening from a long flight and simply want to get home fast, which is why I booked a non-shared ride, double the price, but thinking I would get home in a reasonable amount of time. Never again! read more

Driver shows up 15 minutes late with little fuel, asks flight time I tell him 11:20. He laughs and says we have plenty of time. I tell him we are going to LAX. He says he has to stop for fuel. This is the biggest sham I've ever heard of. My experience mirrors others. They were fantastic picking us up for our trip to LAX but getting back is a joke! Got a text saying my car is here. I would give no stars if I could. Worse service all the way around. Made a reservation, confirmed. Got to LAX fine, but no car to go home. I have never been more frustrated and disappointed in a transportation company in my life. SuperShuttle and ExecuCar are highly unprofessional, unreliable, incompetent, and a complete scam. I scheduled, booked, and paid for transportation from the airport 1 month in advance, and 5 days prior to my scheduled pick up I called to confirm. Yet, on the day I was supposed to get picked up... I called the SuperShuttle / ExecuCar number and NO one answerd the phone... and finally after 20 minutes of listening to stupid music someone finally answered and said my driver is not around and will not pick me up!!! Really? After I paid and have a scheduled appoint for 5 o'clock! Then The representative said someone could pick me up at 6:30. Wow, so I have to wait almost 2 hours for a ride I schedule more than 1 month in advance! How unprofessional, inconsiderate, and irresponsible of SuperShuttle and ExecuCar! Completely UNACCEPTABLE! Plus, I paid for a black car to pick me up from home and from the airport... and BOTH times I was met with a yellow cab. If I wanted to go by taxi then I could have called a cab myself versus booking with SuperShuttle and ExecuCar... DUH! The point in scheduling with and paying for a SuperShuttle / ExecuCar was to get the black car service! What a let down and a complete scam! Trust and believe I have informed my colleagues and friends about this scam! I WILL NEVER again use SuperShuttle or ExecuCar ever again!
