First of all, Aileen is terrific and my color and blowout came out perfect BUT I will not be returning. The woman named Rox rushed me through my protein conditioning treatment, said nothing during my cut consultation in the way of expertise and rushed me out if her chair. On the way out there was a mix up with another client's bill being printed instead of mine and this became some sort of joke on me saying I wouldn't want to pay that bill, as if I couldn't afford it! Let's compare bank accounts-I bet I would win! The front desk person never asked me about a follow up appointment and when I booked originally never told me of an online appointment system if using a coupon. Boo--bad customer service. Always a little scary trying out a new salon. But it's only hair, you tell yourself, it'll grow back if it gets screwed up. My hair was looking shaggy and unruly, especially since it's experiencing its first New Jersey summer with humidity in a very long time. My hair is doing things to itself that involves gymnastic twists and curls. Time to get it tamed. I was grateful this place is open late on weekends. As a first timer, I was shown around the small studio and given the opportunity to use the restroom or enjoy a drink if needed. My stylist was very nice and listened to my preferences. It took a few tries to get the layered cut I wanted, but in the long run, I was happy with the final product. read more

A RIPOFF!!! EXPENSIVE AND HORRIBLE HAIRCUT AND COLOR!!! Reviews on WEBSITE are CONTROLLED there is no way to leave a review on the website when you log on the their site. I wish I would have read the reviews on YELP first. HORRIBLE HAIRCUT (if you want to call it that). DISASTEROUS HIGHLIGHTS! I even showed the stylist photos prior to having my hair colored. My hair was NOT COLORED ANYTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS. The base was supposed to be medium brown with blonde highlights. My hair looked a hideous blonde when I left. The brown was ONLY present at my roots. I WAS CHARGED FOR THINGS I KNOW DID NOT HAPPEN. MY HAIR WAS DRIED OUT AND IN WORSE CONDITION WHEN I LEFT. I HATE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I used a Groupon which was for full highlights, cut and style and I was charged an additional $160 (not including tip) on top of it! P.S. I had items in all caps and Yelp converted my entire review to lowercase. I cut and pasted a few times. This gliche should be looked into. read more

Came to Expose because it was walking distance to my house and they had a weekday, evening appointment readily available which worked great with my work scheudled. I needed a single process to cover up some stubborn grays. My stylist was warm and friendly, listened to my requests and made me feel comfortable. She gave me a blowout and styling included in the price and took her time, which I appreciated. Prices were reasonable compared to my usual Center City salon. My issue came a few weeks later, when the dye seemed to fade quickly from my roots and there was a noticeable lighter band where I was supposed to have coverage. It was clear that I didn't have the right formula, or didn't process the way I was supposed to. Not ideal from a professional salon. There were also little details that I noticed that I didn't love. The assistant who washed my hair got water all down my shirt and didn't notice. I was sopping wet and needed an extra towel to dry off. Also, I saw them pack up cookies that were placed outside the whole day in a Tupperware, presumably to be put out the next day. They also play a card game when you walk in where they offer you various discounts for your visit, but I was not offered this until after my visit, when I asked. Overall, I would probably not return. read more

It had been more than six months since my last highlights and I sorely needed them to be redone. My typical stylist back in NYC hasn't been available so I was looking around for other options. I noticed Expose's Money Mailer advertising and reviews online and decided to give them a shot. I called them on a Friday morning and was able to get a same-day appointment with a senior stylist, Janet, for that afternoon. When I arrived, I was greeted by Betty at the front desk and was given a tour by Janet of the salon. It was my first time to the salon and really gave me a great first impression of what they do and where all of it comes to life. The salon has nice decorations and a nice Haddonfield touch to it. I explained what I wanted: highlights that weren't as light as my current ones (which are almost blonde on my very dark hair) but still had some distinct color. Janet showed me on a hair color book and we agreed upon a nice caramel color. She did everything for me through the few hours I was at the salon all by herself. This included full foil highlights, rinse, toner, shampooing, and cut. I loved the colors that came out of my highlights. It took me some time to get used to the fact that the highlights were focused primarily on my roots as opposed to the full strand but it made sense with my request of "darker" highlights. I would certainly return for highlights! I requested layers to be done for my cut and only about an inch to be cut. She got length perfectly but these weren't my favorite layers done for me. It didn't quite concave from my chin to the length of my hair as well as I'd like and have as much flow but was fine for what I was asking for. Overall, I was treated wonderfully during my time here. New customers get a great deal from these coupons and the salon is fairly priced for its services. I look forward to returning to get my next highlights done here! read more

I've been coming here for about a year and my hair hasn't been quite right. The stylist never quite seemed to get my hair style and some of her comments make me wonder how much she really understands hair. My last 2 visits I tried again to explain my cut. My stylist said "If I cut any more you'll have a mullet." I've been wearing the same style for years and it's never been mulletesk. This weekend I tried a family friend who owns a salon who seemed to get me and my style. She found a hole cut in the back of my hair that I didn't even know about. Maybe the expose stylist was trying to give me that mullet! The cost was very expensive compared to stylists I've had in the past. I resent expensive procedures I paid to "fix" mistakes my stylist made with my color.There is also always a lot of pressure to purchase their products. Seeing someone different really helped me realize how unhappy I've been with the cut and color. Shame on me for settling for so long. read more

Let me start off by saying that the Stylists at this establishment are the best. I have issues with Management. First of all the owner, Roxanne is extremely rude and insulting as well as way too outspoken. She shoves her political views down your throat regarding The Democrats and Joe Biden. This is surprising considering she is a business owner and their Socialist philosophy contradicts this view. This doesn't include the stories regarding her sex life. It's like a Fellini movie with her. On a side note, I have seen her boyfriend and he is nothing to write home about. Next is the Manager Cara. She is rather heavyset and throws her weight around by bullying coworkers with that loud voice. When you are a manager you pull a coworker aside, not shout at them across the Salon like it's an Eagles game. The work on my hair is topnotch but the drama is like a Showtime movie. read more

They recently started a new policy they will only take a reservation if you give them a Credit Card. If you do not cancel within 48 hours they charge you half of what your service will be. (Half in this salon can be $150+) We actually had to cancel a few times during the Covid because we had either been exposed or not feeling well so we where unsure. ( my daughter changed appointment once and I did twice). Because of this they will no longer allow us to make a reservation. We can only call the day off to get an appointment. So if you are being cautious and canceling because you don't want to get anyone sick that is how they reward there clients. Mind you we have been going to this Salon for many years.. I also would like to note that use caution when using coupons. Even though they do not print on coupon new clients only they will not honor them if you have been there before.. I recommend you find a another Salon we are!!!! read more

They were very nice here but I wasn't happy with the finished product. My hair turned out too dark. I asked for them to dye my hair it's natural color (which is a dark blonde) and it turned out a brunette shade. The cut was ok. I guess I should have told them, but I came in here with a coupon offer and after having my hair done for a few hours I was tired and just wanted to go home rather than ask them to correct it. read more

I've been going to Ashley for about a year now and she does a great job. She really knows her stuff when it comes to color (I'll admit I am picky about who does my color). She makes sure she understands what you want and my hair always looks great. Appointments are always available in the time frame I am looking for. There are great coupons available for first time clients, that is what brought me there. No complaints! read more

I have been an loyal customer for years but I have decided to go to another Salon. There are still some great stylist but the drama is not worth the trouble. First the manager who I believe is Cara is very unprofessional. She was screaming at other stylist and when the was finished, she starting talking about other clients. Second there is Dara another stylist. I am not sure but she talks about partying all the time, yet she appeArs to be in her late forties. It looks like she comes from a party right to work. The clothes are also an issue. Most stylists there dress professionally but she wears clothes that do not fit at all. Last the owner is a real piece of work. She constantly talks about her exploits the previous night with her boyfriend which is very unprofessional in the work place. We as clients could care less about her " John Holmes" like boyfriend. I have been looking for a new hair stylist that isn't crazy expensive but still does a really nice job. Since I moved to New Jersey five years ago, I have had a hard time finding one that is convenient, reasonably priced and gives me what I'm looking for. Well now I have finally found all three at expose salon! Dara is awesome! She is so warm and friendly and I appreciate how she makes you feel like not just a customer but a friend! She gives you a big hug as soon as she sees you and sits down and talks about what you want to do each visit. The salon itself is great and the staff there are very nice as well. I have gotten great cuts and color from Dara every time now and am happy I have finally found a new hair stylist and salon! read more

Cannot say enough about my experience! I have been looking for a new salon since October and after trying three places I have finally found what I want. I went because I had a coupon mailer but am so happy! Ashley will be my new stylist!! She listened to what I wanted for color and cut and even recommended some new products. If I am happy with my hair I am willing to follow someone's advice, so Ashley gets two thumbs up from me! Also their hours really work because they are open until 9 most weekdays. read more
