During our call, you mentioned that you didn't think I would leave your salon after your mean and unnecessary exchange. I responded that you can't predict a person's reaction that's why you should be kind to ALL. Did you think I would sit in your business and feel uncomfortable, rushed and unwanted? Yes, I've only been there 6 times in 1 Year (thanks for looking that up) and I've never felt an overwhelming sense of peace or warmth in your space. Like most women, I look forward to my time in a beauty salon and when I can share it with my daughter it's even more special. Your behavior ruined that experience. Mind you, this is all because you failed to evaluate a situation before addressing the customer. You made the customer the problem and that's a problem. If a shampoo area was crowded by 5 people, but meant to accommodate 6 then that's a problem that requires your attention. If you ask a customer whose been in your salon for 90 seconds to move out the way then that's a problem. Reading your review, I still don't think you understand that this was unnecessary and ridiculous on your part. I reacted by taking my business elsewhere and sharing my experience. It's not about the 6 visits. It's about the repeat visits over the years that will never happen. Melissa- The beauty salon is about more than creating outward beauty. The only option offered was a "sorry" and to reschedule for 2:00 PM, even though my original appointment was at 12:00 PM. Waiting an additional two hours after driving 30 minutes was not realistic. I understand that scheduling mistakes can happen, but I was disappointed that there wasn't more effort made to accommodate the situation. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. However, I did end up finding a salon right around the corner called Tiffany Nails & Spa and they were extremely accommodating. Personally, it was shallow and rude and if you look at her IG page you can see she is only concerned with "thin" or "skinny" girls who fit a certain mold. I always love to promote body positivity esp since some heavier girls can be self conscious about a completely nude spray tan. But instead I was ignored. However, my follow-up visit was very unprofessional. After I received a request to return for post- evaluation, I indicated that I liked my eyebrows; however, there were a couple of very minor corrections that were required, which the owner agreed. Specifically, one eyebrow ink was lighter than the other and one had more of a slight angle at the base than the other. Again, minor corrections. I asked why one side was lighter, and I was informed that it was how my skin "took" the ink. Although. I didn't have this issue when I had them done several years ago at another establishment. Nevertheless, I was told that there would be a fee to make the corrections. I then informed the owner that I would also like to widen my brows slightly. I provided a picture with brows similar to mine, but a tad wider at the base, which I knew would be an additional fee. Instead of honoring my wish, the owner kept interrupting me when I was informing her that I simply wanted them to be a little fuller. I then indicated that I don't care what it cost, I just want them the way "I" want them. She then engaged her mother in the conversation to persuade me otherwise, which frustrated me, but I was respectful to her mother for being placed in that position. I finally indicated to the owner, after biting my tongue, that I will not continue to justify my eyebrow preference and her irritating, talkative, dismissive attitude. I informed her that I would have them corrected and adjusted somewhere else, and I left the building. As I was in my vehicle getting ready to leave, her mother came out and apologized for her daughter's behavior, and indicated if she said anything to offend me, please accept her apology. I informed her that she did nothing wrong; her daughter was unprofessional. Her mother made every attempt to convince me to make another appointment, but I was not interested. Anyone who knows me well knows that I am a very kind and professional woman, but I do not tolerate disrespect from anyone.
