My mom and I were finishing brunch and decided to check out this salon for a last minute pedicure on a Tuesday afternoon. I called at 10am and they got us in at 10:30am. They were doing a 20% off spa pedicures so we both decided on that. It was relaxing and worth the money. Both girls did a thorough job and were very gentle and kind. There wasn't anyone in there at the time, maybe because they are under new management. I definitely recommend giving them your business! read more

First timer to this salon, I've been to many nail salons locally and I have to say this experience set the rest apart. They were quick, efficient and every single person I encountered was beyond friendly and authentic! I will definitely be a return customer! read more

Great value, nice shape, clean and comfortable salon. I just got the cheapest refill at Funny Bunny Salon. My nail tech's name was Kathy and she did a great job reviving my Old set. I was looking to do a quick refill in between my usual appointment and she didn't disappoint. I kept it super simple and was thoroughly impressed! read more

There were two nail techs and both worked with patience. They didn't rush and I was very happy too leave without any cuts. The downside is more that I did have to wait quite a bit even though I had an appointment. The room really could use a cleaning when I was there, granted it was the end of the day. Inside in general is bare minimum so if you are looking for swanky, you will not find it here. Instead it's good price to quality, relaxation and I even watched a movie when I was there. I'd come visit again. Appointments highly suggested because they will turn walk-ins if they are already with clients. read more

I can not say enough good things about this salon!!! Tara and Timmy are beyond awesome! I just moved to the area and needed new salon. I had taught nail school for years so I'm very picky when it comes to my nails and toes. The salon is so clean and comfortable. The service these two provide is from the heart. Both of them truly care about you as a person and not just a "client". They communicate with you the entire time. This is very important. Ann gives the very best pedicures I have EVER had!!! She has the kindest soul. She is fun and keeps conversation the entire time. I look forward to many more wonderful feetsy feels good! Washing is great as well! Do your self a favor and come to Tara's it will be the best decision you make. Thank you all so very much!!!! Love everything about your beautiful Salon. Dr. Rylie & Kenzi read more

THANK U THANK U THANK U Tara's Nails for hooking it up with my awesome well-done gel manicure! This place is legit and the technicians know how to apply gel and what natural-looking nails look like. I came here with a manicure done up in north jersey and it was laid on "super thick" uggghhhh hate that---when it grows outs, it's so ugly. I left Tara's with a beautiful new gel mani. PARKING: Located in a mini strip mall Near a round about, watch for exit Ample parking APPOINTMENTS: Walk-ins allowed-waited 20mins on a wkday Recommend call ahead COLOR SELECTION: Plenty! Enough range from darks, lights, glitters, even chrome TECHNIQUE: Applied gel in natural layers, thin, even, precise Asked if was happy with color Gentle cuticle cutting Shiny gel quality Nail shape on point-almond/round Used 'vacuum' to clean nail station vs paper towel Gave decent hand massage after manicure Technicians were pleasant, Vietnamese INSIDE: Clean Plenty of magazines to read Waiting area, plenty of seats Flat screen TV kept u occupied ***All in all, when I'm in the south jersey area, hell yah I'll be coming back here. You rarely find a place you'd go back to in an area you rarely visit---but this is it for me (visit parents down here). Coming from a person who gets there 'nails-did' religiously, do swing by and try this place! You can't go wrong :) Thanks Tara's Nails! See you soon! read more

Went to this place to get my nails, toes and eyebrows done for my wedding anniversary and he took time to make sure my nails were perfect and I've never had any nail salon to take such good care and he made sure I was happy with how things were going..he made sure the ends of my nails weren't sharp and did a wonderful job with the polish, and placing the studs on my nails!! All I have to say is this will be a place I can come too now!! I'm satisfied!! read more

While in NJ this week with some time to spare, I did a Yelp search for nail salons and Tara's was among the highest-rated in the vicinity. Several people mentioned calling first and that was solid advice - this is a small operation and only two people were working. I gave them a ring around 3 and they asked me to come in at 4, which worked for my schedule. There was a short wait time and then I was up for my pedicure. Unfortunately, the chair was wonky and I couldn't move the seat back or recline it at all. Not ideal since I'm fairly tall, but the massage function made up for that a bit. The woman who did my nails was friendly and, very importantly, gentle. I do not like for my cuticles to be cut on my hands at all and my request was honored. My services were very relaxing! I gave my nails a good twenty minutes to dry, but one of my nails smudged about ten minutes after I left. Two days later, I have also seen some chipping. I'm hoping the top coat I applied today can fend off any more. Overall, for the price, which was very reasonable, I'd consider booking there again if in the area. I'll just be prepared with my top coat! read more

This place is the best in NJ and honestly better than most places in the city of Philadelphia to get your nails done. Make sure you make an appointment though because they only have 3 technicians but believe me it's worth the effort. I will keep this short and sweet. I got a full set almond nails with a difficult design request of moon phases. I contacted them originally via Facebook messenger and I got a response within minutes to set up my appointment. **If you designs or something more elaborate make sure you allow yourself some time because they are VERY detail oriented. I set up my appointment and I was so happy at the end. I had a great conversation with Timmy and left with a smile on my face. I will be back for sure and recommend this place to anyone that appreciates good work. read more

I went once. GREAT EXPERIENCE. The pedicure was phenomenal & the gel mani lasted so long & looked great even though I am very rough on my Hands. The second time I went the pedicure was just as great but my gel manicure didn't last as long & once it started coming off there was green mold reveled underneath. The woman did my mani the first time & the gentleman did my mani the second. Could be why. Might try again but a little hesitant. read more

Best mani-pedi in the area! Awesome back massage chairs. Timmy & Tara are attentive, gentle with an eye for details. Scheduled appointments are a priority and rarely does anyone with an appointment wait more than five minutes. And so many folks, co-workers and friends constantly compliment me on my "gel" manicures. My manicures still look amazing even when I return in two weeks! Tara & Timmy are The Best in Town Carol Fay read more

I had to get a gel manicure done in Jersey because I knew I wouldn't be able to go to my usual spot so after doing some research I decided to go to Tara's. As the other reviews state there are only two individual's who work here (not including the older woman who I believe is the owner's mother). So yes, please PLEASE make an appointment. I made my appointment for 5pm and was seated on time. The older woman wrapped and carefully removed my previous gel manicure. They do NOT use the trimming tool (which all of my gel bf's know is horrible for your nails) and I thanked them for using the old cotton ball + acetone trick. The manicurist (gentleman) who did my actual manicure was nice and my color came out great. If I had one complaint it would be that this place takes FOREVER. I was there for over an hour and a half and I just don't have that kind of time. There are no bells and whistles here. No amazing massage on the hands, no essential oils etc. Just a nice manicure. It's been a week and the manicure is still prestige (no chips etc.) If I HAVE to get my nails done in Jersey I'll go here, otherwise I'll stick with my go-to spot in the city. read more

This nails salon is located in a strip mall with ample parking, not that that is an issue in Cherry Hill :) I called ahead and they told me to come in 20 minutes. Calling ahead is almost mandatory in this salon, as there seem to be only 2 people working there. Pros- Nail technician is very careful and works slowly on your mani-pedi. They have a lot of colors for regular and gel manicures, even chrome nail selections. The price is very reasonable: Gel Manicure & Pedicure= $48 and Gel Manicure Removal= $5. You will not feel rushed. In fact, you will probably watch an entire movie by the time you are finished. My gel manicure was beautiful and stays on for a long time. Cons- I am used to the whole pampering ritual in Philly. You will not get the hot wax paraffin treatment on your heels, no hot towel for hands, no free mimosa or wine or coffee, no pedicure callus remover with grater, no leg scrub, no hand massage. You can't really come with a friend because there seem to be 2 workers. And the salon isn't some zen luxurious spa, beautiful salon. It bothered me a bit that there was no liner on the pedicure soaking tub (previous salon used plastic wrap) and the tools were not pulled out of sterile vacuumed bags. Other than that, decide for yourself what is important. read more

Tara's Nails & Spa is by far the finest salon I have ever been to. Their chair massagers are as relaxing as a hands on massage. Tara & Tim are professional, friendly and have an eye for details. Also, I work 11 PM- 7:30 AM and Tara & Tim accommodate me ( by appointment ) to fit my unusual schedule. I look forward to visiting their Spa every two weeks. Nope. The first time I came was when they first opened. Even though I had an appointment, I waited for for over an hour before I was seen. They only had 2 people working. Fast forward to now. I decided to give them another chance. I was their first appointment so I didn't have to wait. I noticed immediately they were not up to speed on the latest trends & techniques. I got a gel mani & regular pedi. After 3 days the designs on my mani have partially rubbed off & my toe polish has chipped. They may be ok if you just want regular mani/pedi without anything extra. read more

My mother and I went to Tara's based on the the reviews on yelp. I must say this is an amazing salon. We came in with no appointment to get a full set for a wedding. We were told there was a wait but we didn't mind. When it was our turn we were so thrilled at how wonderfully courteous and professional Tara and Jimmy were to us. Jimmy is amazing and gave me the perfect stiletto nail. He was so meticulous in sculpting my nails. When I told him I wanted them more pointed he laughed and said OK! He even did a really awesome 3d nail art on just two of my nails to give it some visual interest and It turned out so pretty! Tara worked on my mother and was just as meticulous when completing my mothers set which was closer to the classic French. Tara painted her nails just the right color and took her time. We were both so happy with the services we received from Tara's. They do quality work and don't try to rush you out. When you sit down to get your nails done expect the best! We will be returning and bringing our friends too. You have to give this salon a try. You won't be sorry. . read more

Wow...what a great place. Clean and pretty, state of the art equipment and EXCELLENT customer service. I've been to dozens of salons and this one really excelled. This place was great! They're fairly new and I went in early in the afternoon, so I had a zero wait. The gentleman that did my full set acrylic nails was quiet, which I don't mind bc so am I. First time at Tara's and I'm sure I'll be back! I wish I knew my nail tech's name because he was really terrific. I came in to get a gel refill and one tip replaced. My nails needed a lot of work and he didn't cut any corners. I'm really particular about the thickness of my nails and I've had people give me gruff for asking for them thinner, my guy today did them perfectly from the start and was very willing to make changes when I briefly questioned the thickness (I couldn't tell they were perfect already because there was still dust on them from shaving them into shape). And in the end, the price was more than fair for the quality of work! Regarding the mani/pedi situation: I didn't get either but I witnessed one of each while I was there and I think anyone would be happy and relaxed getting one. Also, I took notice that the place was really clean, which is comforting. And they played modern music, which I prefer to the classical or sound machine noises some places play. read more

I am so happy I found Tara's!! I've been getting my nails done religiously for years, going to the same place... So you can imagine the stress of having to find a new salon when you move an hour away. I came here based on the amazing Yelp reviews and convenient location... Only 5 minutes from my new home! The salon is super clean, which is a huge plus for any nail salon. I am a licensed cosmetologist... So I can be picky when it comes to where I get services done. I've been here multiple times now, and every time is perfect. They do EVERYTHING... Gel, acrylic, designs, rhinestones etc. Tara and Timmy are both so sweet and personable. They are both perfectionists and always put 100% effort towards making your nails beautiful. I always look forward to coming back. read more

I just moved up here from Florida so the hunt for a place to get my nails done was on. i would never return to this nail salon! this place is really dirty. My pedicure was really sad. My toes barely soaked and when i asked the lady to make it warmer she made it colder. That pedicure lasted 20 minutes at most. My pedicurist kept pulling at my toenail and i repeatedly told her that she was hurting me she wouldn't stop and now my big toe is hurting and has been since. The manicure was way worse. She barely let my fingers soak and she aggressively pulled at hangnails which hurt me. The nail polish was applied sloppily and started chipping the next day. That wouldn't even be considered a manicure. She didn't even put lotion on my hands and there was no hot towel. What a waste of 35$ and i would never recommend this place to a friend! read more

First they are very attentive to detail, which I love but an hour and a half to get a refill is ridiculous.
