I stated coming to She Sugars 3 years ago and I fell in love since the first time. The service is always excellent and Mindy ensures I'm well taken care off and the atmosphere is always inviting. She works with my schedule, especially with having a baby and needing to switch at the last minute. Definitely visit for a beautiful experience read more

I should've read the negative reviews a bit closer because they all sound like my experience. My first appointment, Mindy was late but I overlooked since she gave me a heads up beforehand and was apologetic. Communication is key. Everything went well so I booked my next three appointments with her. I had some unexpected guests show up for the holiday weekend and I debated cancelling this next appointment but she books out far and doesn't have great hours. So I showed up to my second appointment AFTER I confirmed two days before and received MULTIPLE reminders day-of. Doors are locked and lights were off. I waited around for 30 minutes and finally had to leave. Two hours later, I get a text that there was a family emergency and she would like to rebook and I haven't heard from her since. Again, don't waste your time. read more

She Sugars - waiting area, tea or water offered - Sugaring Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I've been going to Mindy for sugaring for a few years (for both Brazilian and underarm) and am always happy with the service and results. I have really sensitive skin, so both shaving and hot waxing are a bit too harsh for me. Sugaring has been a game-changer. I find Mindy's method to be exceptional on my skin (especially her extraction practices to prevent ingrowns--other sugaring places don't seem to do this). Her method also softens the hair over time. I also really like Mindy's politics around race, body size, health, and hair in general. I come from a culture that has a lot of hangups/shaming practices around things skin color/tone, and being a client of Mindy's has been a really affirming experience. She's taught me that things like varied pigmentation are perfectly normal--a real paradigm shift. And she's helped me to appreciate and experiment w/hair growth and shaping. She is really invested in each person as an individual. And accommodating to health/safety needs if a client is high-risk. If you're looking for a gentler, more effective method of hair removal, sugaring is definitely worth a try. They also have an added aesthetic element that I really appreciate--more of a cozy boutique vibe than your typical wax place. read more

If I could give more stars I would. I love the atmosphere of the boutique, the aromatherapy always relaxes me before and during my Brazilian, and Mindy just gets it. She and her team are professional, warm , easy to talk to, and I absolutely love her approach and technique to something that has been so uncomfortable for me at other businesses. The sugaring itself is thorough, I've never been THIS satisfied. In trying out other salons I've had to go back once or twice after the appointment because so much was missed, and not to mention the ingrown hairs - which I have been lucky enough to not have to deal with since going to Mindy and Natali. I give her a 10/10, and I HIGHLY recommend to people who are new to sugaring. I'm a forever client. read more

Magic hands live here. The closest thing I've ever experienced to a painless Brazilian

Great relaxing environment that takes excellent care of you!! Mindy is wonderful and personable. Highly recommend!

The best! I'll never go back to hot wax again, sugaring is so much gentler on my skin. Everyone who works here is so nice and professional.

Honestly the best, most clean, most feminine and lovely space to get sugared at. They make you feel comfortable throughout the entire process and have extra little things such as a squeeze ball to help through any sensitive areas. It's a great place to be a woman read more

I can't recommend She Sugars Co enough, and have felt extremely comfortable and cared for by Mindy. I was nervous to try sugaring and she was so helpful during our consultation -- she even provided tea for me to have during our chat which was really sweet. Mindy is great. She is patient, kind, and makes me feel super comfortable. She knows what she's doing. I recently moved to Philly from NYC and leaving my previous sugarist was hard, at some point I had to travel back and forth. And then I said no this has to stop and God put She Sugars and Mindy in my path. And I wouldn't have it any other way. The ambience is so calming and peaceful. Receptionist is also really kind and sweet. It's a very welcoming place, so don't think about it twice to book them. read more

I have been getting waxes for 15 years and after one time of sugaring, I was hooked! Mindy is so skilled and really works to explain everything, what is happening, how sugaring works (its defintely less painful than waxing and my skin doesn't feel "stripped" after like waxing). I have been seeing her for over a year and she has so much knowledge of skincare in general, the industry and esthetics. The attention to detail, client service and before/after care she provides is the gold standard. read more

I had such an awesome experience with Mindy today! She made me feel so comfortable in the most awkward of situations. I think she may be the nicest, sweetest person I've ever met. The space is very zen and clean, and the office was super covid safe. I already have my next session booked. I'm never going back to waxing. If you wax, definitely give sugaring a try. read more

Went to Mindy for a lip and chin wax. She did a great job. She made sure I was satisfied with the results before I left. Not much pain and the warm towel at the end was a nice touch. Clean suite. I found Mindy to be very personable, accommodating, and professional. Will return. read more

Mindy is an expert! She gets the job done with limited pulls, decreases the pain by placing her hand in the just sugared area, and uses natural ingredients to ensure longer lasting results and less sensitivity after the session. She knows what she's doing and is extremely caring and attentive. read more

Mindy & her team are the best. Clean, welcoming environment and the results from sugaring is amazing! Super soft skin and slow, thin regrowth. read more

Amazing service, great conversation, and great availability! It feels like a spa experience, I look forward to it every month!

I always have an exceptional experience going to she sugars co. Mindy is amazing! My first appointment a few years ago Mindy sat down with me to explain how the hair grows, how it attaches to the blood supply, and that over time the hair becomes more sparse and thinner. I was extremely worried because I have very sensitive skin and I had an awful experience getting waxed. She assured me that sugaring is less invasive, the sugar is more of a body temperature, and she removes the hair with the natural way the hir grows. She is always so considerate of your needs, she makes you feel comfortable, she gives you a stress ball and breathing techniques throughout the service. She understands that you may feel vulnerable especially getting bikini or Brazilian waxes so she try's to always keep you somewhat covered so you feel at ease and slowly goes about performing the services. She will check in with you to make sure you are doing ok and if you need a break. Also, her coworkers are also amazing! When Mindy was out on maternity leave I felt comfortable enough going to another sugarista (Domanique) because I trust Mindy's judgement in who she would have working with her. I would highly recommend sugaring from she sugars co to anyone! read more

I had to find a waxing method that would be more gentle on my skin. Mindy was very friendly, welcoming, and all around amazing. She made me comfortable, gave me privacy when needed, and talked me through the whole process. Other places left quite a few strands of hair, but Mindy took her time to get every strand. She took her time to get to know me and my expectations. I can't wait to go back!!! read more
