Maybe I'm just picky but they do not push your cuticles back, especially on your toes.. I feel like if I'm paying for a pedicure, do it right.. I still left with a ton of dead skin on my cuticles because she pushed back gently but only because I asked.. she was literally about to cut my cuticles without pushing the skin back! And my feet are still rough.. I don't know- I just can't seem to find a good salon who actually does a good job since moving to jersey. I think I'm gonna have to take the 40 minute trip back to my old one because everyone around this salon just do not do a thorough job .. so half assed. read more

Unfortunately under new ownership that seems more concerned with interior design than customer service. I've gone here for years, but there have been issues during my last 4 visits from not having my reservation to the owner texting and talking on the phone while doing my nails; apologetic, but the behavior continues. I suspect with all of the interior design upgrades prices will be raised soon enough. I will be finding somewhere else to do my refills ASAP. read more

Went in for a pedicure and gel mani on a Friday morning. The pedicure was ok...pretty typical. However, she wrecked the ever loving crap out of my finger cuticles. 2 fingers bleeding...then she finally slowed it down on the rest, but those 2 fingers have been sore and stinging all day. And then she added some extra gems I didn't ask for in a color that didn't even match. Lastly, she even filed a few again, after the gel polish...and they still have sharp edges and smudged top coat all over. Sorry lady, you were nice, but you murdered my fingers. read more

Myself & my 3 daughters have been going here for years....never had any issues!! Recently new owners took over & redid the entire salon, while it looks nice I was waiting for the prices to increase & slowly but surely they did. We all go once a month & get the same service every time, so I know what the bill will be. The first increase was only $5, which I figured wasn't too big a deal, the next time it was $9 more, today the bill was $20 more than what I've paid for years. Unfortunately today will be my last visit, the price increase is just too much! Edited: the work has gotten crappy as well, as stated earlier we get the same service every month, my daughter got a new full gel set, within 4 days 2 nails had chipped, within a week all nails were chipped, cracked or broken off!!! My other daughter gets a gel polish, within 5 days every nail was peeling. Definitely will not be going back now. read more

Rude new management, if you have all day to get your nails done, go here. If you make an appointment, don't expect them to get you in within an hour. If your nail chips a day after, it's your fault and she will let you know that. I have moved on. read more

Compared to some of the little crap hole nail salons in Philly, Lyly is a delight! Definitely one of the nicest and cleanest I have ever visited. I think the pedi I received here is among the best I ever had. They really took their time, and even incorporated a hot stone massage at no additional charge. My manicure was great as well. I really like how they allow you to choose the scent of the lotion they use. Nice little touch. I found their selection of polish to be one of the best, which is comprised of almost all OPI and Essie. My only suggestion would be to have more employees working since the place is so large and there are plenty of nail stations. All in all, I will definitely be willing to cross the bridge in the future for one of those pedicures! read more

I have been going here for years and was very happy with service and prices up until today! Usually when I walk over to the pedicure stations the bath is already filled. Today they sat me at a dirty tub and all she did was rinse it down and fill it back up! The tub was not cleaned or disinfected before they filled it back up for me! I have been looking for a good nail salon in South Jersey for a while now. Happy to say I have finally found it. Lisa was my nail tech and she did a fantastic job. I never felt rushed, my nails came out great, the gel manicure lasted over 3 weeks and I am rough on my nails. Clean salon, friendly staff, I will definitely be back. read more

I'm new to town and needed a new go-to nail salon. My friend suggested Lyly's, which was her regular place. I stopped in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. They were very nice and let me know that they had matching regular polish and gel colors and could check to see if the color I wanted was available if I wanted. I also thought it was pretty cool how they had a choice of different hand lotions to use for your hand massage after the pedicure (I got the Kahlua one, which smelled heavenly even for hours after I got home.). Both my mani and pedi came out super well, and I haven got had any issues within the last week since I got them done. Overall, I had a lovely experience and will definitely make this my new go-to nail salon. read more

Horrible service. Walk ins welcomed yet walking in for two gel manicures, one regular manicure and two pedicures and the wait is over 75 minutes bc 3 people walk in after you have appointments. Fine. I get making appointments but how about the common courtesy to say the wait time is going to be a little bit longer. Nothing. We sit and wait and wait and now the end result is walking out. Never will come back here again based on the staff that was unfriendly and just poor execution. Something that should be relaxing was very disappointing. read more

I hadn't a horrible experience there today and I will not be going back. The workers will raise prices on you unexpectedly. The woman who did my nails said she could do cheetah when I asked, then completely ignored the cheetah part of my picture and then said she could not do them and that no one in the building could. It wasn't until I said that if I knew that was the case I would have went elsewhere that a man did them. The glitter on my nails looks horrible, it's see through. Also the woman behind me was complaining bc they raised the price on her from last time & she was just asking why the increase in price and the man told her he didn't care. I have been going to Lyly's for several years now, and they always were friendly and provided great service. I usually always walked in, and I was accommodated. Today I went in just for waxing and had to wait at least 20 min even when they were not super busy. While I was waiting I noticed that on the price board the prices had gone up. I figured that it happened because they had to pay for the renovations they recently completed with the new ownership. While getting waxed, I asked the technician how much a gel manicure and pedicure was now, and she told me it was $47. I used to pay $42. A $5 increase for that as well as an increase for waxing would put my overall bill at $8-$10 more. That is a bit steep for me. Again I asked the technician if they had lost business, and she said they had lost some customers due to increased prices but claimed their prices were similar to others in the area. I don't know about that, but I know that I will be checking out other places to go to because it is too expensive here now, and it does not have that warm and friendly vibe it used to. I guess renovations don't necessarily make a place better sad to say. read more

Worst nail salon I have ever gone to. The gel polish was absolutely awful. It wrinkled and they kept adding layers and layers. One nail is also very streaky Then walking to my car about half of one nail peeled off. Absolutely terrible. They told me that the color they used is terrible and most people pick other brands, but I was never told to pick something else. and they still had me pay full price for this awful manicure. read more

BEST NAIL SALON IN THE AREA! I have been a loyal patron at LyLys now for almost two years. When I moved to South Jersey, I tried many different places and nothing compares to LyLys! They have reasonable prices and the salon is very clean. Tony and Lisa are the owners and they are friendly and accommodating. Ivy and Anna are the two nail techs that usually do my gel manis/pedis/eyebrow waxing but everyone that works there is equally skilled. Look no further, you have found your new nail salon! I'm a person that has always done my own manicures and pedicures because I've been totally disappointed in the past. After seeing Ivy here I will never go anywhere else! She took her time with my manicure, fixing little things as she went(while I mentally critiqued parts of the polishing process, she must have been reading my mind). She saw the things that I saw and fixed them. After my manicure I was supposed to see someone else for my pedicure but she made time to do it for me and I'm so thankful for that. I am EXTREMELY picky with my nails and moved to Philadelphia a couple years ago making me need to find a spot. I literally tried over 10 places before finding Lyly nails. This is my new spot and I used to drive 45 minute from my old house before I moved to Lyly because I like them so much. I get the owner, Tony, and have had a few of the other ladies for my pedicures. They all give great attention to detail. My absolute favorite thing about this nail place is that they make an effort to have conversation or at least consult you throughout. I despise nail salons that don't even speak to you outside of what color, what shape and payment time. Try this place for sure. Recommend calling for an appointment: they're always busy! read more

I've never been to this nail salon, and probably wouldn't have any cause to change that. I received a phone call today from this nail salon, asking for Jannelle Harris. I'm not sure who Ms Harris might be, but I sure do get a lot of calls for her... I've had my number for well over 1 year, and Ms Harris doesn't live here. As I kindly explained to the woman from Lylys, that she has the wrong number, she was quite rude, and then HUNG UP on my. I cannot believe the level of customer service, or general politeness, that is lacked by this establishment. Like I said, I've never been here, but I certainly will advise anyone I know, to not go either. If you're that rude for no reason, how well could you possible treat your customers. Take a lesson in people skills, lose your superiority complex, and learn how to act like a decent human being. I will gladly accept an apology from this organization... I feel I deserve one. been here 3 times since new owners took over, and all i can say is WORST PEDICURE EVER!!! the last was the worst. The tech used one coat of polish, not two; cut my nails with cuticle trimmer and then didn't file them correctly leaving them jagged; scrubbed heel on one foot, and hot toweled only one leg. Really, she shouldn't even be doing this work because she was horrible. The other problem is that the whole time you're there, they're trying to sell you more services and they're very persistent about it. It's as if they make commission or something. Very uncomfortable if you are just looking for something simple like a pedicure. WON'T be going back!! read more
