I've been going to JIM Nail Spa for 9 years faithfully, and the last 2 sets I had were "GEL X" and both times I've had nails split horizontally for no reason. First 3 nails split the exact same way within 12 days of getting them done. This set has now only been on for 5 day and guess what .... ANOTHER horizontal split. I went back to get them fixed, and they CHARGED me to fix THEIR mistake. I never complain, but I spend so much money there every 2 weeks, and now I've had enough. When you go there for a regular manicure they do not put any soap or anything in the water to soak your feet . They do not scrape your foot or anything like that they basically soak your feet in water and do your cuticles polish your toes and that's it . Went for a pedicure and color change of nails; nail technician wanted me to do a fill and replace several, I didn't have time and also the set had been done about 2 weeks prior at their establishment, not a lot of growth. I declined when I went to pay for a regular pedicure and color change, I was charged $73. The technician who did color change didn't even spend 20 minutes and didn't even reshape/file my nails, the woman who did my pedicure didn't even have to cut my toenailsas I had done them myself. I am extremely disappointed in their prices, which I also didn't see posted anywhere (different spa pedicures posted, not nails), and it was actually the poorest quality I ever had from them. The nail salon is nice, quiet, and clean. Service is prompt and they offer walk ins even on their busiest days. Giving them a 2 star rating because whatever they are using for their dip powder nails is horrible. I've been getting the powder for 2 years and I've never had an issue like this. Went and got my usual powder set and 4 days later 4/10 nails were cracked. I called the salon and they were able to fix them for me free of charge ( plus tip of course ) without any hassle. TWO DAYS later all 4 nails are cracked again + 4 more :-(. I have 2/10 nails that have no issue. I've never had this happen with any of my previous dip powder sets and not quite sure what the issue is. Maybe faulty / old products? Anywho, I can't bother returning for the same issue to happen again. It's a shame because the salon really is nice. read more

They are just average in my opinion. Don't expect a warm welcome either when you walk in. They kind of just look at you like 'hey what do you want' face. I got my nails done for my vacation here and it was pretty decent when I first got them done but once I was on vacation a few days later, the gel top coat on-top of my dip started cracking and any makeup/dirt would be noticeable in those cracks. It was so ugly! & that's never happened to me before. Would I go back again? MAYBE, but now I know to expect average work being done. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! The second you walk in it smells like cat urine. The smell was so strong it began to give me a headache. It is very unclean, and the customer service is some of the worst I have ever had. They do not exfoliate your legs when they do a pedicure and charge you a extra $8 just to scrape your heels. I came in on Tuesday as a walk-in for a color change on my toes. I wanted chrome but they didn't understand what I was requesting & didn't have it so for that I give them 4 stars.
