I'm done. I have been a loyal customer of Kay's for about 15 years, always going to them whenever I wanted nail services. The last 3 times I've gone (all over the course of this summer), they have cut me every time! I understand that nicks happen from time to time, but I've experienced anywhere from one time to (most recently) four times in one sitting! This week, after a manicure/pedicure, I also had to make a visit to urgent care two days later because one of the fingers she nicked was starting to get infected. It's because of this pattern that I say Kays has really gone downhill. I never see the owners there anymore, and the people who cut me just wipe the blood as it continues to bleed without apologizing or even acknowledging it. I used to love this place, but now they rush through everything and don't care about providing quality services. I'm so disappointed and just tired of paying them to hurt me. read more

This is possibly one of the worst nail salons I've been to. I normally go to a nail salon in Marlton, but I didn't feel like making the drive and this place was on my way home from work. The woman who did my nails did not know how to do a dip manicure. I dont know if they all do it the same way, but there was no bonder or clear base dip powder. She cut my cuticle multiples times and left me bleeding. Side note, everywhere else I've gotten my dip manicure they do a gel top coat and it costs the same price. I had such a wonderful experience today. I went to another salon at 4 pm and they told me they were closed (although their door said 5 pm - maybe Mother's Day affected their hours?) I went to lKay nails and they also closed at 5. There were two people in front of me, but they didn't hesitate to get me in (even though it was close to 4:30 at this point). I wouldn't have been surprised if they rushed through the manicure and just did the bare minimum. But, they were attentive, didn't rush, and did an amazing job. I am 8 months pregnant and came to this salon on my day off for a pedicure. My pedicure lasted about ten minutes. I asked for clear polish on my toes and they did not fully remove the previous color I had on. When checking out at the desk, I asked if I was being charged for a full pedicure because that was not a full pedicure. I asked if I could pay for a polish change and they refused. I left in tears and was very unhappy with my experience. The front desk worker stated that "she had been working there for two weeks and has seen so many people leave unhappy." Nice pedicure, lumpy gel manicure. Kay nails, like pretty much every nail salon, is overly bright and overly loud. Having nails done is never the most relaxing experience in my opinion. I walked in after work and was seen quickly, and the prices are reasonable. My pedicure was a pleasant experience and done nicely. The gel mani however was not great. The service itself was fine, though the top coat portion did seem rushed as the tech was looking over my shoulder toward the front door. Afterward I noticed some nails looked misshapen due to thick, lumpy clear coat, and she failed to coat the tips of my nails to help it last. I probably won't be back. read more

At first I loved this salon , was recommended by a co worker.The price was less then my other salon which had recently raised there already higher prices. My daughter is a cosmologist and knows nails . She has told me not to let them use the drill and dire enough they have . My nails Rarely broke or chipped at my other salon But they are chipping constantly and breaking after each manicure. I believe it is because of the drill and less quality product. Kay Nails was amazing. My friend called to make an appointment for my bridesmaids and I to get pedis. Because we had a group, we got $5 off each pedi! The scheduling people were very nice and flexible, a real pleasure to deal with. When we arrived, we were taken promptly, and I had one of the best pedicures of my life. Great color selection and very nice, friendly, and attentive staff. They have an "all English" policy, so you do not have that awkward feeling (that I have had in many other nail salons) that the staff is talking about you behind your back. A friend of mine actually drives past about a dozen salons to go to this one (after she moved away) because each time she tries a new nail place, they cannot measure up to Kay. The nail artist did a beautiful job with my nails and even made suggestions that made my nails come out even beautiful than I would have known to request. The whole experience left me feeling relaxed and pleased (at how wonderful my nails look). I live about 30 minutes away from the location, but I will definitely be back. read more

I have been going here for years, however I can't go here anymore second time I've gotten my nails done dip powder and the same today they chip. One time I got white and when I went home they turned brown no idea how. I called and went In to get them fixed was told to come In at 12 and then the nail tech told me to come back in 30 minutes at that point I had enough I never went back and made an appointment at another nail salon to fix this mess of nails. My friend and I made an appointment for pedicures and I'm glad we did because this place gets crowded! By 6:30pm, all of the pedicure chairs were completely filled. When I sat down, I had trouble getting the massage part of the chair to work so I started pushing all of the buttons like I was playing a hardcore game of Super Nintendo. Still, nothing happened. My nail girl looked at me and asked what I wanted it to do and I said, "everything!". She pushed a magic button and it slowly started to lightly massage the head portion...and that's all. I didn't bother trying to mess with the remote anymore but I did miss the massage. God bless her soul because wow are my feet ticklish! Overall, she did a great job and this place uses "the cheese grater" that a lot of other salons don't use. This is key to getting rid of the calluses though! Afterwards, my feet were super soft. My friend and I walked in to get gel manicures. There was no wait. Our nail technicians never introduced themselves, and the lady that did my nails didn't ask how I wanted my nails shaped or filed before she started. The lady that was doing my friend's nails cut her cuticle and it started bleeding, which can happen, but used her nail to cut off the blood, which not only hurt her but is uncleanly. The lady that did my nails also made calls on her phone while doing my nails. My nails came out looking good that day, but started chipping the day after I got them done. It's only been one week since I've gotten them, and they're peeling and I have to get them redone. The only reason I went in here was because I needed them done on a Sunday, and my normal place that I love is closed on Sundays. I will not be returning to this unprofessional and unclean nail salon. read more

I love this salon! I always get the dip powder manicure when I go. It is a very reasonable price ($30, most places are more, and it is $27 if you have a student or military discount). They have a massive color selection and the dip powder lasts about a month without lifting like acrylics do. I recommend seeing Vi for an awesome set if you are looking to try the dip. read more

I always find myself waiting until I'm in Jersey to get my nails done so I can go to Kay Nails. They are always fully staffed and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes as a walk-in. Everyone there takes their time and does a good job, prices are reasonable ($25 for a gel manicure) and the interior is clean, modern, and inviting. They clearly get good business and all the south jersey housewives were there gossiping about the latest drama of their children. Clean pedi stations, comfy chairs, and the staff was VERY friendly. I had split one nail and broken another (thumb...bloody...ouch....) and Sophia was amazing. She was extremely gentle with both bad nails, and helped repair them (glue, buff, and gel manicure) and I walked out with great looking nails, intact cuticles, and no pain! (some of these nail places butcher your poor cuticles...not the case here...) I have never had a "nail girl" but I think this is going to be my regular place now. Went in early Sunday afternoon for a pedicure & it was delightful. The salon is very clean and doesn't reek of acrylic like a typical nail place. My technician (didn't catch her name) was very thorough and did an amazing job. Also, they were all SUPER friendly. Like, 'neighbor down South that's known you all your life friendly'. I know this doesn't matter to some, but every employee looked so put together (cute outfits, make up, jewelry, awesome manicures) which goes a long way. Of course I want to come back, I need style tips from these ladies! Another (kind of) irrelevant note, they had the game on! Such a relief for a football lover like me. Another one bites the dust!! I just came from the nail salon I have been going to for more than a year getting my gel polish redone that started chipping after 4 days!! Because I work for a living I was not able to get back to the salon until this morning. The technician Tammy was not in when I arrived at 10:30 this morning so another technician Amy said she would redo my nails and my toes since she suggested I pick a different polish. I told her that Tammy had to put the polish in a bowl of warm water last week which clearly indicates the polish was old and the reason why it was chipping as well as peeling off. Amy did not disagree. Long story short Tammy comes in while Amy was redoing my nails they exchange words in their language and when Amy was done she says $10 dollars!! I said aren't you changing my toe polish since they do not match my nails and she doesn't respond. I then say wait $10 for what if you are not changing my toe polish. She exchanges words again with Tammy who then says, "it's been two weeks since you were here". I tell her no it was last Saturday and show her my receipt. She then suggests I must be doing something to my nails with an angry look in her face!! Me taking a shower or washing a few dishes should not make gel polish chip!!! $10 will not make or break me but I have had similar experiences in THESE nail salons which are literally on every corner in Delaware Country. I religiously get my nails done and pedicures even in the winter and I am a very good tipper!!
